Ok food but not really authentic French cog au vin not made right Apple tart was cold and sent it back.
A local gem. We have been dining here for years. Always consistently great.
Very noisy but pleasant service great waiters knew about menu
Never had a bad meal here. Delicious French bread salads are great - love the Beaux Artes salad and the Nicoise. Do not leave out the Profiterole!
Great Place! Always good, this was for an after church breakfast with friends and the restaurant didn't disappoint!
This place is absolutely awful....came here with some friends on a Sunday for a late breakfast. Don’t waste your time or money. The service is substandard and the food is the terrible.
A Palm Desert favorite. Good french food makes CBA pleasantly busy. Continuity of staff makes it work well. We will be back.
The four of us enjoyed different but excellent meals with a personable server and a very good choice of wines.
Comfortable!Good with friends. Nice place...Friendly staff!
Typical French bistro menu served in older, quaint restaurant. Nice ambiance and very good service.
We sat near an open door, and nearly froze. It took 25 minutes to get someone to turn on the adjacent heater. The food was mediocre; only good thing was they offered 1/2 portions.
Very good food. The French onion soup is great and I had the halibut special which was very good. Friendly staff and a pleasant semi outdoor environment. Good place to eat before attending the McCallum.
Cute place, standard French bistro food, technically well prepared. But if you're a foodie like me you may well leave disappointed. As my husband said, they have good line cooks, but the Chef is not great
Went there with friends and everyone loved their dinner choices. Wide ranging menu, mostly French and Italian. Energetic and fun atmosphere. Service was a bit slow and had trouble finding the waiter for wine refills. The only negative on the food was the crepe suzette. Was not made at the table and seemed to almost to be pre made. Came out covered to excess with a thick orange sauce. They should leave this off the menu.
Food was very good but service was very slow. Waited an hour for food.
Bland food, nothing seems to have been updated since the Regan administration. Waiter was unfamiliar with the menu items, their preparation, and their pronunciation. Side dishes are miniscule. Once it got busy, the time gap in service stops increased disproportionately.
It is always wonderful.
We went there for a Valentine's day dinner. Reservation was handled promptly, good table. Main course meat was slightly overcooked (both meals). Service was good, but seemed rushed, leading to an atmosphere where you felt rushed. It's a nice place and it seems quite popular, but there are better values elsewhere.
Exceptional in every way.
As usual this restaurant was a joy! It is always a pleasure to go there and it is our favorite restaurant in the desert.
This is a favorite restaurant for us ... always a good experience. We have a special table we like, and they always accommodate us.
Sides were cold and one serving of seafood was under-cooked. Husband's New York was really a cut of prime rib -- but it was delicious. Desserts were great.
Food and service was good however they wanted our table for the next serving. We hadn’t finished our dessert and they brought our bill and kept coming by to see if we had paid and time to go. After we eventually left our table when we were finished , service people were there to clean the table before we had gone 10 feet . They tend to jam tables together and not a very private/enjoyable experience.
Very nice neighborhood, authentic Frech bistro setting—Excellent value—-No corkage Monday night worked well for our wine oriented group— the Diablo seafood, and French onion soup, were big hits—-G.
Food is very good and service friendly.
We return yearly when in Palm Desert. Never miss. We enjoy the variety of French cooking.
Delicious food. Nice service
Jim was one of the best servers we have ever had. Thanks, Jim for making a good dinner great!
This bistro is the best in the Coachella Valley. The blackened salmon Caesar salad is the best in all of California.
Amazing!! We can’t say enough about a fabulous lunch here. We come every yr we are in town !
We come here every Super Bowl Sunday. The food has improved. The scattered waiter has not.
Seated right away, but it was 15 minutes before we had water and another 5-10 for our waiter. They were busy and it seemed our waiter was on his own in a large room. We then got our salad/appetizer in a timely manner. It was some time (20 min.) before our entrees arrived. We have always enjoyed this restaurant, but on this evening, it did not live up to our expectations.
Love the food
We frequent the Cafe' at least 1 - 2 times/month. This was the first time the food was unsatisfactory.
Fabulous food and service. Nice for our birthday brunch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
It was very good! Will definitely go back!
Shrimp crepes and coquille San Jacques we’re both delicious! Profiteroles for dessert were great! Service and ambiance were terrific!
Lovely evening - plenty of choices for vegetarian- my swordfish was outstanding!
Meal and the service were both excellently
We had great food, a great table, and a really professional waiter.
