Café Des Beaux-Arts
Gave us a lovely table, substituted a salad for rice at no extra cost and the seafood crepes were delicious.
My husband raves about the schnitzel!
A long time favorite had not been here for about 4 years. Found it still excellent. Love the quite atmosphere, escargot, sad dabs and the service is always excellent. Thank you for keeping this great restaurant a place to enjoy good food and good service
I find Cafe des Beaux Arts charming. I love the outdoor/indoor feel. The food is uniformly excellent. The prices are reasonable. I really appreciate the many gluten free options including crepes. I look forward to going to jazz night which we haven’t tried yet.
Consistently lovely reasonable bistro with traditional French food perfectly prepared and delightful served
I have brought many people to Cafe des Beaux Arts and they have always loved the restaurant.
Very good food, very efficient service, nice atmosphere!
Probably one of the best restaurants around!!!
Very friendly atmosphere. Good menu with lots of delicious choices.
Excellent food and service. Be sure to have crepes suzette for desert!!
We ordered from their summer special menu. The red trout and shrimp stuffed pepper were both excellent. We got the nutrella/banana crepes for dessert and they were also very good. The special menu typically runs from May - October - an excellent value.
CBA is always solid. Service is attentive and friendly. Food is good, not great. May have slipped a half notch from prior visis but good value for $. Sidewalk tables (still inside) are very nice and relaxing. Typical quality and authentic bistro french cuisine. Will come back again.
Love the escargot......and their shrimp crepes. It was my birthday and I was surprised with a yummy dessert.
Great food and service.
Nice place to eat in the bar or on the patio.
Excellent service & food! It was our first time but we will definitely go back!
Good menu but food a little bland, I had the short ribs which are usually very flavorful and tender - the meat was slightly overcooked and sauce was lacking in flavor.
We enjoyed a nice dinner on the patio- perfect for enjoying the desert evening. I had French Onion Soup and mussels and clams which were delicious in a light garlic broth. My husband had a seafood dish he really enjoyed. We shared an order of profiteroles for dessert-delish! It’s a local favorite, they have a nice bar to sit at, too.
Escargot was delicious as were the liver&onions dish!
We always enjoy Café Des Beaix-Arts and go there at least twice a month. She staff is wonderful
One of our favorite spots in the Coachella Valley. Food was great. Wine list was good with some reasonably priced bottles. Always a treat.
First time there. Definitely would go back. Menu had plenty of options. Enjoyed the stuffed avocado with crabmeat.
My wife and I both had the fixed dinner..appetizer salad was lovely..main courses were perfectly done and portion sizes were generous..desert was ideal to finish off the night. Wine selection was more than adequate and priced fairly. Would highly recommend.
Lovely food, friendly and efficient service!
We always enjoy Café des Beaux-arts - so sorry they will be closed for the summer; we will see you again when you reopen
Cold pouched salmon is excellent
Wonderful French restaurant in Palm Desert. We never an opportunity to dine there when we’re in the desert. Great service, warm ambiance and superb cuisine.
Pleasant in the dining area in the bar section. Cool and comfortable. There were summer daily specials which were a good value and tasty.
We’ve been loyal patrons of this restaurant for over 18 years, and overall (food, service, ambiance, and wines), have been consistently a five star. I wouldn’t say it’s just for special occasions, since we’re regulars, however we chose it for my husbands birthday since everyone knows us, and it feels like home!
We live in palm desert and first dined here before we moved. We enjoy the intimacy and service as well as the cuisine.
We really love going to Café de beaux-arts. The staff and chef are the best. Sorry they will close for the summer.
We enjoyed our Restaurant Week 2019 meal. Great selections on the menu, very good service, and tasty food.
Very accommodating! Great service.
This restaurant is AMAZING. There were not very many people there at around 8:30, which very much surprised me. I had the Lake Superior whitefish that melted in your mounts and came with mashed potatoes, cauliflower, and carrots. The drinks were great too, and a fantastic value. I definefly will he coming back when I am in town.
This restaurant is lots of fun-- you can watch happy strollers and antique cars go by from your window table. The menu was extensive, the food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. The French onion soup was fantastic. Cafe Des Beaux-Arts has become our new "go to" in the Palm Springs area.
Server wasn’t very friendly!
None of us cared for him!
Bill was wonderful, very engaging and hospitable!
Go for lunch quite often!
This is only the second time we have been to this restaurant in the past few year and I have to say the food is outstanding. There were 4 of us and two had the cold poached salmon which they raved about, one had the sand dabs and he raved about it and I had the Lake Superior Whitefish in a lemon, butter caper sauce which was one of the best fish dishes I have had in a very long time. The spinach accompaniment was over the top delicious. We all literally cleaned our plates. We ate every bite. That's how good the food was. And the water was courteous and very attentive. We will definitely return soon.
Atmosphere and food were great! The only problem was the waiter wasn’t pleasant and his demeanor was somewhat rude. That doesn’t make for an overall great experience.
My wife had the 10oz filet mignon with peppercorn sauce and it was delicious. I had the half order rack of lamb and again delicious. Each dish was accompanied by potato ( mashed or French fries) with a side of great vegetables. Service was great.
Always one of our favorite spots in the Coachella Valley! I always feel like I've made a brief stop in Paris! Didier and his staff really know what they are doing. Don't miss this restaurant, we have been coming here for years. Kris and Sally Long
Service was poor. Host and hostess were unfriendly. On a holiday such as mother’s Day you expect staff to be friendly and observant. We were there with our daughter and young grandchildren. Our infant grandson was crying and we had to get up several times. None if the staff offered to assist or tried to move out of the way. In fact the host asked me to move while I was holding my grandson. It was not a busy brunch. Multiple tables were empty. The food is good but it is certainly not a place for a family. At the end of our meal the hostess placed the check next to my daughter. How about asking who will take care of the bill? There was also an extra meal changed on our bill which the waiter removed. Overall not a good experience.
