I believe they get overwhelmed with Mother’s Day.
Food and service were not at their usual excellent level
Our server was wonderful! Great Mothers day. Mussels were perfect!
Always a favorite. They had a brunch menu vs a lunch menu on a Saturday which is not my favorite. Nevertheless I ate too much and sadly did not have room for their fantastic Chambord cake. Wish they had not pulled the plastic down over the patio dining area as it was a gorgeous day. Consistently good. Great little French restaurant in an interesting neighborhood. Highly recommend.
Hostess tried to seat us at a table we are flies were gathering. I asked to be moved and her response was it’s summertime what do you expect. We did sit at another table and there were no flies. In the past Café Degas had the best quiche I’ve ever tasted. On this day the quiche was over cooked and over seasoned. I will definitely think twice before celebrating another Mother’s Day here
We had an overall wonderful time. The food was delicious and our server was wonderful. We were seated very close to a rather loud party which made it a bit hard to hear each other.
Unique charming restaurant with great pate plate, cheese board, and wine.
Beautiful day, wonderful service, and delicious food. What could be better?! We sat outside and had a lovely bottle of wine, shared the pate plate(delicious), a yummy salad, and the special soft shell crab. Always love Degas.
The food was a complete let down. It was undercooked, poorly seasoned and over priced. Very disappointing.
Everything we ordered was absolutely fabulous. We were lucky enough to bring some things home... Yummy leftovers are the best treat.
Loved the atmosphere. Ate here before on a field trip in high school. Lamb chops were outstanding and all vegetables were fresh. Love how waiters address you in French as well.
Always a great experience!
Fun place for a casual outing.
Food is above average
Updated Reno look works.
Loved the expanded specials on the menu.
Chef was spot on..
Waitperson could have done a better job with service.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.
We love Cafe Degas. It is a uniquely New Orleans experience. The food is aways exceptional. It is very much an alfresco dinning experience only you're actually under roof with air conditioning.
Music after party- always a romantic evening
As always. The place to be for great food, drink and atmosphere.
Poor and slow service
The food was fantastic, everyone ordered something different and each was tastier than the next. Service was excellent, Brianna was on the ball. Fun night. Would definitely recommend.
Cafe Degas is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is well-prepared, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the ambiance is hard to find in other cities.
The Veal entree was excellant, and the steak was very consistant.
We LOVE Cafe Degas. It is the most romantic restaurant in the city.
Delightful setting. They are struggling with Service during the pandemic like most. The Jazz Trio on Wednesday night is delightful.
Our favorite place to go for both small plates and full meals. Service and food are both great!
Cafe Degas never disappoints. It's the restaurant that has it all...amazing food and ambiance.
Cafe Degas is a gem. Handled our large group well. Food is always incredible and service was outstanding. Recommend the French Onion soup & moules-frites.
We brought my parents for dinner who were visiting from out of town and they absolutely loved it. Great service, ambience & food. Loved all the food options and flavors.
A real favorite.
1st date, so I forgot the onion soup!
The food, atmosphere and service are the best! We celebrated the life of a great poet and friend whose favorite restaurant was Cafe Degas. It’s ours, too!
Cafe Degas is perhaps the most authentic french bistro in New Orleans and is always consistently good!
Great food, charcuterie plate was a treat. Good cocktails before dinner and beautiful entrees.
Always nice on a beautiful day. Good food, wine and atmosphere
We ate outside on a beautiful spring Sunday afternoon. Although the restaurant is on a fairly busy street, the traffic was not overly noisy. The food (quiche Lorraine, salade nicoise, creme brulee) was delicious, and the whole experience was very pleasant.
Cafe Degas feels like a special little place that just makes you feel good. Cheers!
Wonderful service and amazing food as always. Everything is so fresh and properly portioned.
Predictable, good quality food at a reasonable price. Very good service. We had eggs benedict, moules et frits, crawfish quiche, escargot... all very good to excellent!
The atmosphere was awesome; the entrees were mediocre at best.
Great to able to dine again!
Food and staff are amazing. Very romantic atmosphere. Love it!
Great, unique place!
Always awesome. Friendly service, yummy food and great atmosphere.
