Wonderful meal. So sorry you have to close and praying for a beautiful re-opening in January.
Wonderful brunch. Enjoyed being with family Thanks for making it happen. Staff was great!!
Wonderful food & nice people. Felt safe inside. People distanced appropriately by the staff.
Consistently good! Love the menu choices! This is a reliable rendevous.
Amazing food and atmosphere!
Great food, amazing service
One of my favorite French restaurants!
I am happy to see them back!
The food was wonderful
Our server was friendly, helpful & efficient.
We will go back again.
Wonderful tables outside on a sunny day. You can’t get much better than that...accept to fantastic food and service.
One of the few places open and the food was awesome!
Salad was wonderful
Excellent French bistro with solid food choices including duck. I ate here twice this week, enjoyed both dinners, and found two good wine-by-the-glass choices.
I had the warm chicken salad which was mediocre and drowned in dressing. My friend’s mussels and fries looked good. We declined coffee but several minutes later they put a cappuccino on the table. I thought I had misheard and that my friend had ordered coffee, but we were chatting about something else and I didn’t ask her if she had ordered it. After a few minutes she asked if I had ordered it. Next a waiter came by and picked up the coffee and brought it to a guest sitting at a pavement table 😲. I hope he liked tepid coffee!
I loved the cozy atmosphere, excellent service, amazing quality of food. Worth every penny. Transported to France 🇫🇷 in an instant. Highly recommend !
The best and most authentic French restaurant in San Francisco. And for breakfast the croissants melt in your mouth.
They should have more appetizer options. And more lighting in the interior
Wonderful French bistro atmosphere, excellent food!
Only if they have lots of time to spare. The service was very slow. We waited a long time at the door to be greeted and shown to our table. The waiter gave us our check without asking whether we would like a coffee.
Fantastic versions of French classics: Moules frites and Duck confit
Poorly prepared food. Such a shame.
Slow, inattentive service. Waiter was nice, this place is clearly past its prime
Received very poor customer service from our server.
Unable to anticipate our needs.
Had to be reminded several times for drink refills.
Avoided our table and calls many times.
Gave special attention and treatment to older (white) patrons.
In general just made us feel like we weren’t welcome.
Caffe area more inviting but dining area felt dingy . Our salad was rather uninspiring — salad nicoise with canned tuna. Pricey for what it was. Location good — seemed more a tourist place without warmth or care.
Fabulous meal and service.
Very empty, maybe because the work on the street.
Never disappoints, always great service and food.
This used to be our “go to” spot for Sunday brunch. We loved the authentic French cafe setting and the service was always attentive yet unobtrusive. The food used to be very solid. Not amazing but satisfying eggs, Belgian waffle and lovely pastries. The last few visits have gone downhill. After last Sunday, I doubt we’ll ever go back. The warm food was cold. The pastries were stale, small and flat. They delivered our friend’s fruit plate 15 minutes after the rest of our meals and only after repeated requests. How long does it take them to chop 3 slices of pineapple and melon and lob a few berries onto a plate? The restaurant wasn’t half as full as usual but the wait staff couldn’t be bothered. When they did deliver our food, they just dropped it on the table in front of the first person and expected us to pass the plate to the rightful diner. So disappointing. Anyone else know of a new brunch place they’d recommend because we’re done with this one.
Great food! Lovely place and the breakfast was terrific!
Had the quiche Lorraine and side salad. Always s great luncheon choice.
Love this place!!!
We had great service from Dave!!!
Truly authentic French cafe cuisine - that is outstanding. Been coming to CdlP since it opened. Love!
Staff bit too confident and impersonal. Great venue. Food good.
A bit of a wait for the table I reserved but otherwise everything was good.
Always a lovely place to dine, morning, afternoon and evening.
Had a problem with my entree. I advised server that I did not want any cream sauce on my pasta and it came loaded with sauce. Entree on menu said penne and mushrooms with arugula pesto. It came as a heavy sauce - with a lot of cheese on top. I am vegan and expected to see pasta with a green pesto sauce. It was not as described on the menu!
Had a good time-we like the ambiance. Surprised to see few customers.
When in SF I like to sit down for breakfast here. The eggs Benedict was great!
We had a very enjoyable meal. The food was good. The service was excellent and the ambiance was perfect for talking at our table. We ate in the dining room. There is also a cafe which looks more casual.
One of my all time favorite places to dine. I always come here when I'm in San Francisco.
Very simple and limited options menu. The food was just okay, but nothing to write home about or recommend to a friend.
Had both dinner and breakfast here.
Dinner was nice, food good, but way too salty! Please reduce. Steak quality was superb and exactly medium rare as ordered. Duck confit also great.
Breakfast was great. Good menu. Great espresso and so good cappuccino.
Big plus:they accept well-behaving dogs! Thanks.
