Very friendly service. Had a reservation and did not have to wait for our table once we arrived. The tuna nicoise salad was delicious.

We ate lunch here. The menu is fairly traditional French and there’s a bit of everything. Salads, soups, entrees, sandwiches. We had a window table downstairs which was very nice and quieter than upstairs. The food we ordered was fine, nothing outstanding. The onion soup, Niçoise salad and duck salad were all good, not great. The gem salad was only so-so. It’s the atmosphere that is fun and the restaurant decor is stylish cafe.

Love the food at this place but they always make you wait even if you have a reservation. It takes a really long time to get to your table even when it’s not crowded.

So great for Friday lunch! Food surprisingly good, and even a good value. Had seared tuna salad.tuna perfectly cooked, whole avocado, and delish sauce on hard boiled egg. Such a big portion I took half only gripe is website menu prices 20 percent less than actual. Atmosphere lovely and timeless.

Found this place a few years ago and had such a great breakfast, my kids wanted to go right back the next day. We were in town, so we tried it again and we’re not disappointed. Great breakfast. French toast is the best anywhere. Crisp and yet moist and not heavy. Topped with a blueberry compote - yum. My wife got the excellent croissant egg sandwich.

Ordinarily it’s a good place. On Valentine’s Day they had a mediocre menu with outrageous prices!! Avoid on ‘special’ menu days

Our server was charming and nice but completely overworked. She could not keep up with the peak demand, especially with a very demanding couple next to us, but she kept her smile and spirit. Other than that, food was mediocre and mostly lukewarm. We would not go back.

We are regulars at Cafe de la Presse and the food service and experience is consistently good.
Great lattes and croissants along with a very French menu!

La comida en general bien, pero quiero compartir que los caracoles no estaban frescos y esto lo pudimos platicar con otra mesa que también se dio cuenta de ello, lo cual consideramos resta atractivo al platillo.
La hamburguesa que ofrecen es deliciosa pero sería mejor con otro queso y no cheddar, ya que al ser un lugar "francés", podrían dar otro queso más rico.
El servicio dejo algo que desear, era complicado poder localizar al mesero y eso nos hacía sentir frustrados si queríamos pedir algo más.
Debo decir que tiene una ubicación frente al Chinatown.

Walked into a well-lighted and spacious dining room with huge bright chandeliers. Had dinner here during SF Restaurant Week...Three courses for $49. Started the meal with the crispy Dungeness crab cake...tasty with a light crunch and delicious. I chose the Alaskan halibut as my entrée and my husband had the grilled lamb chops and sirloin. Both entrees were moist, well flavored and prepared just right. We both had the opera chocolate coffee cakes as our dessert...yummy and delectable. Along with the three courses comes the complimentary French bread. This was a very good meal and we were content and stuffed. Waitress, Kani, was very accommodating and attentive. Service was efficient which led us to a very satisfying evening. Will definitely return.
