We've been here several times. Great food and good wine, service was very friendly. Our drinks, appetizers, and salads were prompt but our entrees took a bit long. Over all a very pleasant experience. Would recommend.

Good french food, properly made. There's little more that one could ask for in life, really. I would gladly eat every meal at this restaurant, every day, for the rest of my life.

You know this place is great because its filled with locals. We love going here, and always bring our out of town friends. I recommend by starting with a classic cocktail (which they do very well), followed by either mussels or escargot. (you may want to order more!). Their soups are fantastic too. Wait staff is very nice and take very good care of their guests. Its a small staff, but you will get to know them like family.

For what turned out to be a $200 meal, I was impressed with neither the service, nor the food. The special (ribeye) was burned as was the asparagus. The bread was bland. The desert akin to what you would find in a frozen dinner.

I don't expect to return

Our party was dining late so found this gem of restaurant to be quiet. Server recommend the half-carafe of white and red wine which we found to be very good and ideal for our party. Our party ordered fresh fish (swordfish), seared trout, and duck. Everything very tasty and well prepared. The escargot could have been more garlicky but that was my preference not schared by my party.

It's always a wonderful dining experience at Cafe de France. The Onion soup is one of my favorites. I also had the coq au vin, divine.

My best friend had a happy birthday at Cafe de France last Friday. Service was excellent, and everything delicious. We shared an escargot plate, which was baked in the traditional French way with lots of garlic butter and a warm baguette for dipping. Yum. I had the Coq au Vin, C'est si bon! My friend had the half duck and I hardly heard a word spoken until she finished it! The friendly staff made the dining experience delightful. I love to speak French and Madame, who owns the place was very accommodating with my American French. It was a lot of fun.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and had requested a "table with a view of Park Avenue" which is exactly what we were given. The service was excellent and the ambience was very nice. My filet was cooked perfectly and just as tender as it could be!

We went on a Tuesday evening and it was quiet with only a small number of customers. We sat outside - it was very pleasant - and the service and food was excellent. While the menu is small the choices are great, and all in all we had a wonderful evening with excellent food!

I've been to cafe de France at least 25 times over the last 5 years, and it is consistently the top French restaurant in the area. Nice to still have a small romantic family run restaurant among all of the trendy or chain upstarts. Food is consistently outstanding with a warm French country atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I went to Cafe de France and had a great experience. In a town (Orlando)that invented commercialization and exploitation of everything, this is a niece quiet authentic French restaurant. Each dish was perfect. Service was outstanding.

My experience at Cafe de France was excellent. We were greeted pleasantly. The fish special was skate, a fish not often seen on menus and very seasonal. It was perfectly prepared, moist and tender. The wine list is very good. It has selections from France, a few other European wines, and a selection from the US. The portions were appropriate. It was a lovely experience.

The food was terrific--the best duck confit I have ever had--but the waitress seemed a little out of sorts, forgetting to bring a spoon for the onion soup or milk for the coffee after dinner. The restaurant is small and the tables are close together; this would have been fine--even a pleasant reminder of a Parisian brasserie--but a loud party of 20 or so people took up half the restaurant and made everyone else a little uncomfortable. I don't mind "buzzy" restaurants, but this group of former frat brothers and their wives celebrating one of their fiftieth birthdays were a little more boisterous than I prefer. We'll definitely come back, but the restaurant should consider installing some of those noise dampening panels that hang from the ceiling.

Great setting, great service, great food but just too loud. Owner needs to address the noise factor from simple conversations. Install sounding boards high on the walls near the ceiling to reduce the noise so you can hear conversations at your own table without having to compete with parties at adjacent tables. In addition, quit playing music from the bar which happens to be in the same room as the intimate dinning. Too much noise competition. Address the noise issue and I'll be back otherwise move on dot org.

My husband and I went to France in October, and chose this restaurant because we are always on the lookout for French food that comes close to that of the actual thing.
The ambiance was reminiscent of that of a Paris bistro, the service was exceptional, and the food was top notch. My husband had the duck and I had the special catch of the day, which was done to perfection.
The only downside to the entire experience was the parking, or lack thereof. However, if you enjoy going to the Winter Park restaurants and shops like we do, you kind of expect to have this problem.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to try a sampling of the tastes of France, all without leaving the country.

I eat here 1-2 times a month. It is always very good. The veal chop special and the lamb on the menu is superb. The daily pate is usually very good as well. The service is the best in town with Matthew.

I went to Cafe de France for my birthday and it was not a very positive experience. The ambiance and interior design was mediocre, the food was ok but what made my friends and I really uncomfortable was our waiter. Now I am not saying this to get anyone into trouble but it has to be said he kept coming back every minute, wouldn't give us any space and kept saying how he knew us. Now I get it, young guy tries to be cute with a table full of girls but come on, be a bit more professional. This is not TGI Fridays. People eating in restaurants like their space and help when they ask for it.

There is room for improvement. It could be a real Park Ave gem, just needs a little interior TLC and courteous service.

The place was great with very friendly and accommodating staff. While waiting for the balance of our group to arrive, we sat outside and they brought cold water to drink and inquired if we needed service. Meanwhile they got our table ready inside and asked us to just wait inside for them. I had the Rack of Lamb (daily special) which I found good, but not great which is what I would expect from a French restaurant and a daily special. I even had to add salt to it to get any flavor to come out. I did try the Coq Au Vin that someone else was having and found it wonderful. Everyone else was very satisfied with their meals. Price was reasonable and not overly expensive for a French restaurant. I would go back and try something else.
