Exceptional food, wonderful people. :-) Will definitely be back.
Wonderful French food in a lovely location right on Park Avenue. I appreciated that there was French music in the background and I had a great glass of Sancerre with my meal.
We always have a great lunch here! We will be back soon!
We have been coming here for years simply because they have some of the best French food we’ve eaten. The soups de poisson was perfect. The roast lamb chops and duck breasts were both tender and wonderfully seasoned. Service was attentive and friendly.
This restaurant has been on Park Avenue longer than any other business (since 1982) and there is a reason - attention to detail and authenticity.
Great location on Park Ave. Bistro style ambiance with similar style service. Very good food and selection, a little short on the wine selection.
Cafe de France has long been one of our favorite spots. The food is authentic French prepared with great care. Saturday, I had the scallops and risotto. I don't know what it is, but their scallops have always been extraordinary - and the risotto was creamy, flavorful and just the right texture.
We started with the daily pate - which was divine. Perfect texture and composition.
One of our dinner mates had the lamb chops - which were tender, flavorful and juicy.
Others ate the fish entrees, one Salmon, one Atlantic Cod - both were perfectly prepared and accompanied by well prepped veggies.
The small restaurant has a sweet and personal atmosphere. The wait staff is knowledgeable and the Owner are always there!
Spoil yourself and give it a try!.
What a neighborhood gem, always delicious, always great personal service. Special occasion or not, this is a very special place.
Lovely Valentine's Day dining experience. Perfect setting and spot on service. The small kitchen was a little overwhelmed that night with loads of Valentine's Day guests, so our entrees took longer than expected but the owner came by to apologize and offered to comp us a drink. The food was amazing and worth the wait. Come here for ambience and authentic, well prepared French cuisine. We will return.
We loved the restaurant so much , we ate there twice in one week. The roasted duckling was outstanding. The coq au vin and the braised lamb shank were divine.
Wonderful experience! Would love to see more by-the-glass options and more Sauvignon Blanc.
Great food and great service. We were there for New Year's Eve and enjoyed it very much.
New Years Eve. The best.
Food was so good...real French cuisine. All the staff were very friendly and
Excellent restaurant. Great food and European aura.
One of the most impressive dining experiences in all of Central Florida. The chef is highly skilled and each dish is "handcrafted" to ensure quality and taste are perfect. The owner and his wife (chef) should be very proud of this dining establishment. Our party recommends the escargots, mussels, daily fish special and the rack of lamb. Don't miss the crème brulee. A full bar with an excellent wine list from many parts of the world accentuate the feeling of being in a hidden bistro in Paris.
Great authentic French cuisine with exceptional service.
Exceptional food and excellent service, as always. I'm never disappointed.
Delicious little treat in Winter Park during a visit to Rollins College. Lovely service and excellent food equaled an excellent night overall.
My friend and I ate lunch at an outdoor table of Café de France. We both had absolutely wonderful Cosmopolitans. Refreshingly delicious. I ordered the onion soup as a starter and it was quite good...the cheese was bubbly with a very slight crust and the soup had a good consistency. My friend ordered the scallops with risotto and she said they were delicious, tender and moist. (I would have preferred a darker or more robust sear.) I ordered the mussels and frites and thoroughly enjoyed the dish. We split a tarte tatin that was yummy. Really enjoyed the food and I'd definitely return and recommend the restaurant. Bon appetit!
Great traditional french food
Excellent French cuisine. Lunch and Dinner were remarkably tasty with perfect portions.
The service was great. I highly recommend this dining venue for flavorful, authentic French food.
Mixed bag. 2 guests had the same seafood dish and one was very good and one was gritty. The other 2 gusests had lamb and again, the lamb special was very good while the lamb from the menu had little seasoning/taste which required a good dose of salt and pepper. Service was excellent. The restaurant was very quiet but it may have been due to the fact there were only 2 other tables occupied by 2 people. This was our first time back in many years and we probably will give it another try.
Authentic French cuisine. Great daily specials. The best steak tartare and french onion soup.
This place is just consistently excellent. The food is well prepared and presented. The service is attentive without being overbearing. My wife and I enjoy dining whether with friends or guests or by ourselves.
Good service, good food & good price. Will be back!
Best French Onion soup!
My waiter was super nice. Loved her. I would not mind having more food that was given. The food was so good!
Loved it. We wanted to get together with our daughter in Orlando and she suggested CdF. I had been wanting to try it for a while, so we made reservations. Between the three of us we had the duck pate (great), mushroom soup (really great mushroom soup!), french onion soup (also great), filet mignon ("most tender steak I've ever had"), rack of lamb (great), and coq au vin (also great). For dessert we had creme brulee ("best ever"), vanilla pastry (good, not great), and house made vanilla ice cream (so creamy!). Will definitely go back. Looking very much to going back.
Nice place. Wait staff after very attentive. Food is very good.
Great food! Thoroughly enjoyed. Haven't been in a long time but glad we went!
Charming place, French comfort food!
Pros- well executed cuisine
Cons- limited wine list, temperature seemed to swing high and low.
This could be a winter regular for us
Great place, excellent meals, had nice dessert menu with cordial and coffee drinks, great date night and special occasions evening, will go back
I love the food and service at this restaurant. I've visited before and will visit again; however, one warning: I asked for a bottle of pinot noir and told the server I'ld trust her. When the bill came, I discovered I was given an over $80 bottle of wine ($35 at the grocery store). That was a lesson learned.
Cafe de France is the best french restaurant in the Winter Park area. A very well managed family owned and operated restaurant. Nice food, good service and nice and quiet ambiance. If you are looking for good food, good service in a quiet and nice ambiance, Cafe de France.
Is the place. You know a restaurant is good when you see a lot of local people that are known by the owners and definitely are repeat customers.
Had the lamb and duck, nothing special as far as taste but the ambiance and selections are good. The French onion soup was very good.
We have enjoyed every meal at this Winter Park gem. Don't be fooled by the relatively plain ambiance. The attention to service, quality wine list and excellent food make this always an exceptional dining experience.
Great location on Park Avenue but slightly boring. Very traditional menu and cooking. It's greatest asset is the fact that a smaller party of friends can have a conversation in a reasonably quiet environment.
This restaurant is fabulous! Extraordinary food, service and ambience.
Great food in a casual atmosphere with good service.
Great place overall! First time there and I will definitely return!
