Café de France
Since then it has always been owned and operated by French natives, following the pattern of many little restaurants in Europe. Café de France takes pride in serving the freshest ingredients brought in daily. All dishes are freshly prepared on premises. Our specials change everyday, according to market availability.

We hope you'll enjoy your dining experience in our quaint restaurant, and we look forward to your future visit.
OPEN FOR LUNCH TUESDAY THRU SUNDAY, DINNER TUESDAY THRU SATURDAY!
We love this restaurant and go there a lot. However this night was an exception. The owner was distracted much of the evening socializing with a family member and it took almost an hour to receive our food after ordering. We will be back and hopefully the owner pays attention to his customers this time.
My wife and I went there for a Friday night dinner, and it was a marvelous experience. Busy, but not jammed, friendly, confident service, and a personal touch.
Just an ordinary restaurant.
Nothing to brag about or recommend to others.
Asked if it was a special occasion when we walked in, which was our 15 year anniversary and they never said anything else to us afterwards.
The food was great, nice staff and quiet ambiance. Great place for a date night. Awesome area for a stroll after dinner.
The excellent reviews given for Cafe de France made me want to see for myself. Our party of three was warmly greeted and Aaron was an excellent server. The menu offered a nice variety of dishes, from duck, to scallops and lamb, which of course were all expertly prepared and presented. I look forward to dining again, it was a wonderful gourmet experience!
The food was mediocre at best. The service was nice and the wine selection was decent.
A perfect place for a first day. Even with a fair number of customers it was still very quiet. Our waitress was very patient with us as we didn’t even order food for about 90 minutes. With delicious appetizers, a main course, and deserts and wine it wasn’t a cheap meal but it was worth every penny. Wouldn’t hesitate to go there again.
Never disappoints! Service is great, food is always amazing, and we can hear all conversation at the table.
Great place , friendly staff , great selection of entrees .
We had a wonderful dinner. Our guests say the same.
EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND GREAT QUALITY OF FOOD. WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.
Exceptional food and the staff suggested an excellent wine to pair with meal. Outside seating made the evening.
We had a great experience, celebrating my son's graduation!
Excellent food and service with a quiet corner to enjoy our old friends. Fine experience
Excellent French cuisine in a intimate atmosphere
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. Try the French 75!
The food is consistently delicious every time. A very special place.
This is a fabulous small French restaurant that deserves the long history it holds. Perfect celebration lunch with daughter. Service was excellent. Food was excellent.
Dessert, the profiteroles, had portions that were way too small.
Bison tenderloin was very good. Presentation can be improved.
French onion soup was very good, but I've had better.
My red wine was served in a white wine glass.
Our server with the blue eyes was the best!! Will go again just for that.
The food was fabulous, service was incredible and I would recommend for those who want a flavor of France.
French onion soup was hearty and packed with onions, and Caesar salad was deliciously out of the ordinary. Four large, sweet, buttery and perfectly browned sea scallops were nestled in a bed of perfectly cooked risotto, and the flavorful beef stew tasted like it was right out of a Belgian kitchen.
Delightful experience. Quiet, charming, quaint. Authentic French cuisine
Delicious food, great service. Tried the scallop rissoto, steak tartare, escargot, creme brulee, and apple tart. Sauces were very well done. Looking forward to going back
A recent kitchen team overhaul has clearly not bedded in yet. Several guests, including ourselves, commenting that the food was over-salted. The room is rather characterless, could do with some genuine French Cafe touches as the name suggests. Service and owner attentive but clearly working their way through the kitchen re-structure.
Worst restaurant experience ever. Came in at 7PM for dinner with family. Not busy at all. With only a few tables occupied. We noted that people came in , got served and left while we were waiting. Finally got our order in around 7:20. At 8:20, no dinner. Waiter said cook burned one entre and was remaking it. 15 minutes later, dinners show up. 2 were overdone, 2 were okay. Finally got the bill and left after 9PM. No excuse other than the kitchen got backed up. Backed up with 4 tables. Kitchen sent us 2 deserts for 4 people to make up for the delays. Not sure what’s going on with this restaurant but if they can’t handle a few tables, maybe it’s time to try a new cook! Never again.
As always, we had a lovely evening.
The filet mignon was one of the most tender filets I've ever eaten. The accompanying boursin cheese potato mash was soft, cheesy, and creamy. The PEI mussels were perfectly cooked in a wonderful wine and cream sauce. The Rack of lamb had tender medium rare chops in a tangy blue cheese sauce.
The service was attentive and personable anticipating our needs with excellent wine service.
They still do everything with great nuance and attention to detail that makes every dish satisfying and makes you look forward to your next visit.
Always love a good meal here and have been going to CDF since it first opened. Relaxing, not stuffy and always delicious.
The overall experience was Excellent! It was our first time and we will certainly come back!!!
Really enjoyed the experience!
The food was, as always, impeccably prepared - we had the special fish dish, salmon and scallops and all four meals were excellently delivered. Marta made sure we were well attended to and not rushed during our dinner. The staff go to great lengths to pay attention to the little things that make a big experience difference and we appreciate that at this fine restaurant.
Great food and service. Escargot, lamb and duck were all good choices.
Probably the best re
They never disappoint. Wonderful food and quiet atmosphere. Will return soon!
A hidden gem, a must try. We loved the food, the wine, the bread, and the service. A perfect 10!
Excellent food and wine by glass (Vouvray). Noisy. Average service.
Great food, reasonable prices, reasonable wine selection and price, great ambiance. We went on a Wednesday night, so the it was not that crowded. The mussels and grilled Caesar salad were both unique, and we would get them again. The scallops were very large and excellent. You are not rushed, which coming from New Orleans, is very much appreciated.
It was my wife’s birthday and they didn’t do anything even after I called to let them know. They need to pay more attention to detail. The food was good
Lovely VERY authentic French cafe. Outside seating enjoyable.
I don't get the buzz about this place. The best I can say is that it was an OK experience. Staff is very good and happy but that's abour it. But far from a foodie place as advertised. The scallops risotto was scallops with average rice, far from a risotto. Profiteroles were burned. Nutella crepes were cold (like taken out of the fridge and served). No wonder I've lived in the area for 20 years and never bothered to stop. The latest internet buzz got me to stop, with it hadn't. At least the wine was good and so was the service.
This was our first visit to Cafe de France and fully enjoyed the hospitality and dining experience. Everyone from the server to owner were extremely friendly and accommodating. The meals were exceptional full of taste and texture while the creamer brûlée beyond delicious.
