About this restaurant

Café D'Angelo is an Italian American fusion restaurant that features a B.Y.O.B. option. Start off with an appetizer such as the fried calamari, a creamy crab dip or apple butter flat bread. Move on to a salad filled with cantaloupe, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, baby spinach and balsamic vinaigrette, or a salad consisting of roasted pear, goat cheese, raisins, walnuts over arugula and a pear vinaigrette. Café D'Angelo serves entrées that include crab cakes, classic lasagna, pomegranate glazed salmon and Maine lobster ravioli. Radio Voice Italia broadcasts live from Café D'Angelo the first Wednesday of every month. Reservations are not required but are suggested, especially on nights with entertainment, and can be made online.

chicken parm was thick and tough. I am Italian and used to cutlets thin and tender - chicken and veal. Veal parm is not available at this restaurant.

I was really excited to visit Cafe D'Angelo. I have to say that I was not impressed. I met two friends, and before our party was complete that waiter was trying to give us the specials. Once our party was complete, he asked to take our order about 5 times before we were ready hovering about the table. The place was completely empty but 2 other tables, so it wasn't like they needed the table fast. The food was so so... When we ordered a dessert to share he practically rolled his eyes, then tried to take the dessert multiple times before we were finished. We paid him, and he came by the table taking a fork, then a glass, then the pen, pushing us to leave. It was 8:45 when we left on a Friday night. I waited tables all through college and know it's tough when it is slow. But our waiter was nothing short of rude and unwelcoming. I wouldn't go back. And I won't recommend it to anyone.

We loved the service and food. Place was clean, food yummy and well priced, and a great selection. come and be surprised..........lemon pie was to die for.

It took 55 minutes for us to get served our appetizer. The waiter did not check on us prior to serving the appetizer. I ordered the sirloin medium rare and it was over cooked. The meat was not a good quality.

Was not prepared for the live airing of Radio Voice Italia. While the music was enjoyable the volume made conversation difficult---maybe it was the result of no sound absorption because of the exposed brick walls---- but a good DJ/host would have taken that into consideration. Though at the time we arrived, it was a light crowd, service was painfully slow; water refills were few and far between, the waitress continually made excuses about the delays ----a new cook, having to train a new waiter, etc. While much of this is understandable, it was apparent that the kitchen was confused and disorganized at best. Add to this a person who was waiting for a large take-out order and constantly pacing through this small dining room, not conducive to a fine dining experience. We were there for about three hours but the wit staff appeared to congregate at the hostess station for socializing. We asked for an ice bucket for the wine, it never appeared. My daughter asked to take her uneaten portion home, and although the waitress kept saying it would be out in a minute, after hearing this 3x, we left without waiting any longer it. First time we were disappointed in what we had begun to consider a real neighborhood gem turned out to be still very much in the rough. Supervision and organization is the key to success---and that door remained unlocked this visit.

Great BYOB, very nice atmosphere and food was excellent, portions a bit on the small size (which was ok with the ladies, guys would have liked a little more on their plates) Appetizers were delicious, we had the calamari, shrimp scampi dip (YUM) and the eggplant special appetizer - served with crusty bread. Only complaint was the Entree Veal Sorrentina - veal medallions with thinly sliced eggplant, prosciutto and mozzarella. Entree only contained one very small veal medallion and the a lot of eggplant. Very good, but would have preferred more veal Would definitely go back.

Our server Never told us the specials. After we placed our order she returned to tell us that Both of our entrees were unavailable that evening yet they were on the menu. We ordered once again and our entrees were very very bland at this point I thought we were being punished we never received bread. She did ask if our meal was ok as she seen that we ate very little. She was new and had no clue.

Once again we weren't disappointed in Cafe D'Angelo. The food was well prepared, nice selection of entrees, appetizers and dessert. Our server, Susan, was very helpful describing our choices and was a very attentive server. I'd recommend Cafe D'Angelo it is a great neighborhood restaurant!

A great date-night dinner. The food was very tasty and prepared perfectly – just the right amount. Would I bring the kids - not for dinner - might spoil the mood or atmostphere. Service was attentive/friendly/accommodating! The decor was very pleasant on the eyes (wouldn't change a thing). Only missing element - no varity of a pasta selections.
