Always terrific. great space and service. and is there a better neighborhood?
Every time we come to NYC we visit Cafe Cluny. Fantastic food in a peaceful setting in Greenwich Village. We may have to go back before we leave....
Charming bistro with excellent fresh food and lovely service. Sitting outdoors on one of the most beautiful streets in the West Village, one might just as easily be in Paris.
Bun was stale.
Terrible quality tuna. Not ‘sushi grade’
The food is always great; so is the service.
During Covid even in the bitter cold of winter this place was always packed. They got to work right away and set up beautiful outside seating areas.
They are the best.
Loved Michael our bartender!
Our first time here, with a friend who’s a regular. Food was well-prepared and presented. Outdoor seating seems fine from a Social distancing perspective. Tables on West 12th Street are on wooden floor that is uneven and slopes downward, so not the most comfortable for eating. Tables on West 4th Street appeared not to have this problem.
Welcome and service were not especially warm, but fine.
Lovely setting with amazing French-inspired food! Great wine list too.
Dinner was delightful experience. Food/service were excellent. The restaurant was full of people conferring an energy to evening. Thank you for a great night out Cafe Cluny!
Great service but expensive for what you get. The food was fine- nothing impressive or particularly memorable or great. Kind of disappointing overall. For a French restaurant, very little ‘French’ food on the menu.
My wife’s steak was ordered medium , came out well done otherwise all good
Maybe a country differential
Great everything—but surprised to see some servers unmasked indoors. That was disappointing.
Brunch at 11 am is not an easy thing in the West Village right now; much less in a lovely setting, with attentive but not intrusive staff, and very good food. Cluny checks off all the boxes brilliantly.
Don't expect to get a decent drink here. My martini was the smallest I've ever seen. Probably would just about fill a thimble. Food good but waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced for a non fine dining restaurant.
The not reason I was disappointed was because the coconut rice pudding was off the menu! Otherwise, excellent as usual!
Chicken dumplings and roasted salmon were delicious.
Stale bread was disappointing
Lovely dinner - charming classic West Village French bistro with very above average food and nice wine choices.
From making a reservation to the warm welcome at the reception desk through the meal and the service, the entire experience was terrific. Ambience delightful. I can't wait to go back.
My lobster roll was a lobster mayonnaise salad not worth of the concession stand on the Staten Island Ferry. It was served on an untoasted hotdog bun that seemed as if it came from a bread museum.
The fries were soggy and as flaccid as the owner's sad excuse for a phallus.
Outside chairs a bit uncomfortable and tables tippy, as happens. Guess it keeps people from lingering. But gets noisy inside due to small space so glad we were outside.
The service has improved dramatically at Cafe Cluny since Rocky came on. Now if only the food would go back to pre covid standards.
One of the most charming outdoor settings in New York, in the heart of Greenwich Village. Food is always delicious, fresh and the service is friendly and helpful.
Cafe Cluny has always been a special favorite but I must say I don't like their current menu. It has gone from classic french to a hodgepodge ranging from "purple sticky rice bowl" to"mac 'n cheese" to "Faroe Islands Salmon," although the staff still wears french breton-stripe shirts. In my opinion it has lost the elevated french bistro feel that made it a charming place to impress a date. I had the steak frites which was good. The service was very good. They had tried this menu once before and a waiter told me it didn't go well, so they changed it back. Now here it is again. Hoping this was a covid choice to make things easier???
They make great drinks, have a lovely bar and the space is very charming. But to me it feels more like a place for a quick bite.
Delicious. Good food, cute ambiance, good service. Pleasant!
Always love CC! Loud table of bridge and tunnels next to us but no one’s fault! Manager aware of it and very kind!
Hi! Cafe Cluny is one of my favorite, go-to restaurants in NYC. But I felt that $27. for a very small, overdressed kale salad and a chicken breast was too much. (I specified light on the dressing.)
great atmosphere, friendly staff, very, verygood food
Cafe Cluny never always delivers a superb experience.
Love Cafe Lux, and Cafe Cluny is in a great place. Good food, wonderful variety of menu choices. Server was being trained. great place.
As always the food was delecious, the staff was really nice and the environment was very charming!
My whole family enjoyed it! Definitelycoming back!
Like all NYC restaurants coming out of the Pandemic, you seemed understaffed. Waited 15 minutes for someone to offer a drink or water. The outdoor dining area seemed the priority, and as we elected in our reservation to eat inside, we were neglected at the start.
Things picked up after we started to order, and our waiter made up for his lack of experience, with attentive kind service.
The food was excellent. The indoor ambience was dim and cold, but Cluny’s classic, casual charm was not irreparably damaged by it.
I look forward to everyone getting their groove back by the autumn.
Food was less the mediocre, and service was not great.
Wonderful ambiance and really friendly and attentive staff. Food was just alright though, and with a city of so many amazing options it is hard to justify going back here unless it's just for drinks
Fabulous dinner visit!
We eat at Cluny whenever we are in town and it is a multigenerational favorite. A compact menu with something for everyone in a charming rustic West Village setting.
Getting a lunch reservation inside seems difficult. There were empty tables inside, yet we had to sit outside, which is fine, if it's a coolish day.
This is truly a lovely spot! Tucked into a quiet West Village neighborhood, Cafe Cluny has become my go to place, no matter the occasion… friendly staff, delicious food & drink!
Just a great place to be, when you want to be treated well!
The cozy dining room is complimented by a terrific little bar area, great when I am alone to dine! Always a kind friendly atmosphere. The outdoor seating, wrapping the corner is excellent too, so quaint and charming, a real NY experience 😉!!!
Always a pleasure. Good for long lunch with friends!
So good! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
