Open since 2006, Cafe Cluny is a neighborhood spot offering French - American dishes with a polished flare. Our Executive Chef Andy Xu takes pride in his thoughtful selections here, as well as at our sister restaurants The Odeon and Café Luxembourg.

We love Cafe Cluny! The food is always amazing and delicious. We sat in the back room and we couldn't hear each other talk, it was so loud! Usually the service is outstanding. It was a little uneven this time.

We had a lovely dinner. We were slightly late due to traffic, however they kept our table and gave us a couple of table options. The staff were super friendly and professional, and our waitress was warm and accommodating. The food was good and service fast and efficient. It was our anniversary, which we hadn’t mentioned when making the booking, however on hearing it was, they gave us complimentary dessert. We wound definitely visit again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

I sat outside at the sidewalk tables on a hot day and it was very pleasant. It has a very nice relaxed ambience with lovely service. The food is only average but the overall experience was very good.

I had dinner at Cafe Cluny on 9/11. There were terrific storms and when I arrived, the air conditioning had broken. Normally I would've turned away but with fans blazing and a friendly staff making the best of a difficult situation, my friend and I stayed for some of the best food I've had in a while, amidst a frenetic staff that was staying cool in the heat. My Branzino was epic. I'll be back for sure. Merci!

I was overwhelmed by the heat yesterday and the staff, waiters and the hostess in particular, were so wonderful, kind and helpful. I think it was the best service I've ever experienced anywhere in NYC, Bravo to staff. I live in the neighed so I'm there often and I noticed you changes the recipe for the Cluny Cocktail. I have one every time but I think you should consider going back to the former recipe. Too much ginger in the new one.

I am a seasoned diner....The owner of Cafe Cluny should take some lessons from her ex-husband, and do a week-long study of Pastis...Now that's a restaurant. The food at Cluny was ridiculously tasteless. My wife order the Branzino. Bland and awful. I had the Cluny burger. How you could you go so wrong with that staple of American Cuisine??? I've had better burgers in dives and greasy spoons in Bayonne, N.J. Try the burgers at Pastis, Balthazar, and The Clock Tower.... I didn't take my displeasure out on the waiter for the entire miserable experience. I tipped him his 20%. Restaurants in NYC have a shelf life of about 6 years. I know Cafe Cluny has been around. How? Only the gods know. All I know is if the place closed down tomorrow, I wouldn't shed a tear

The food was fine. Service was ok. We asked for separate checks which was a hard no. Asked for ketchup with fries that didn’t arrive. The chair outside didn’t line up with the pavement so it was sort of like a rocking chair 😬🙄

This used to be one of my favorite places. Service and food presentation lack luster. All going downhill. Cafe Cluny has been a mainstay for me but think I went for the last time last night. Disappointed

The place is nice and cozy, in addition to the neighborhood where it is located, I was surprised by the low noise level in the restaurant, which is highly appreciated for NYC. The food is good but very standard, the price-quality ratio in my opinion still has a lot to improve. The service was not very good, the waitress was somewhat rude and distracted. My rating for the place is 3 out of 5, with so many restaurants in NYC I probably wouldn't go back or recommend the place.

Amazing menu - lots of great choices! We shared the heirloom tomato salad and Buffalo chicken dumplings to start. I had the kale Caesar with Parmesan croutons and a chicken paillard. All incredible and flavorful. Amazing service and ambience! Love Cafe Cluny!

We sat outside on a gorgeous summer evening. Food was great, as always. Non-alcoholic summer cocktails were 7/10 and to pricing. Waitress was excellent but overstretched. Several parties left after waiting for service. We had gotten there at 7:30, had prompt service and a great meal and great time!

I am never disappointed no matter how many times I have eaten at Café Cluny. The food is always fresh and delicious. The specials are constantly changing and equally enjoyable. The service is continually friendly and helpful; however, on our last three visits we have felt rushed. Appetizers come out immediately with little to no break before the entrees. The plates are being cleared before everyone is finished. PLEASE just slow it down. Otherwise, Cluny is still one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.

The menu is very creative, and the food preparation did not disappoint. The oysters were some of the best we have ever had, and the corn ravioli was exceptional( the diner at the next table told us we MUST order it, and he was correct!!). We shared it as an appetizer. The steak frites and other main courses were prepared perfectly. The service was as fine as I ever had in NYC. We all loved our meal and experience, and plan to return soon.

Sticky rice vegan entree was delicious, and when the bar printer went down the staff was super apologetic and kept us up to date on the situation and ended up comping our drinks which they didn't need to do but it was thoughtful.
