We enjoyed our dinner at the winery. It was our first time visiting Thornton and it was very beautiful and the wines and salad was amazing. Our server, Montana was very attentive and funny. She treated us very well.
We had a wonderful time I look forward to dinning with your restaurant soon
Chicken Marsala, one the "specials" of the day, was dry. Marsala sauce was tasteless. Three of the four of us had chicken. All three of us thought it was not good. Who can't cook chicken?! Very disappointing. There are so many better restaurants in the area.
Took my mom there for a Mother’s Day dinner. Everything was great, as it always is!
Reserved table as soon as we walked in. Great food!!
Nick showed what excellent service is all about. He always check to make we were ok all night. He was great! It was my first time at your winery and in my opinion the food was a bit pricey. Derek was a good performer. I had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the live music and dancing.
We celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary. The ambience, music and food was awesome!
The setting in the vineyard was amazing! Fabulous Jazz!
Cafe Champagne is a wonderful place in Temecula for lunch, we had a wonderful lunch and great service from Scott K.! We dine here often, and we also belong to the wine club at Thornton Winery, which is awesome!!!
The food and view are exceptional! Unfortunately they did a sound check for 2 hours!! A bit much!
The food was great, good service. Thorton's merlot was really good. We enjoyed the jazz music, the musician was excellent. The atmosphere is really nice and picturesque.
Our server Jessica was awesome!! We even signed up for the wine club. Great job Jessica
Our visit was to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday and with that in mind prices were not to be considered. We thoroughly enjoyed the waitress, Lisa was a delightful person. All three of us ordered lunch salads. We added a basket of bread to our order (warm, chewy crust and soft inside). We opted for coffee/decafs rather than wines. Each refill was hot and tasty. Conor kept our water glass full as well as our coffee. He was very amiable as was the young man who cleared our plates (I’m sorry I didn’t get his name). We ordered two desserts (Lava cake and tiramisu) and were treated to a Caramel cheesecake for our birthday gal. All three were delicious. This experience is not one we would afford on a regular basis, but it was the treat we had hoped for to celebrate a very dear friend.
Very pleasant ambiance. We sat outside on a nice 85 degree day with plenty of coverage from the sun. We ordered the goat cheese and olives as appetizer . The cheese was far too creamy and not tangy enough for our taste and there were a total of 4 olives. Would not reorder. I had cioppino which was excellent and unusual with a very smoky sauce - tasted as if it contained chipotle. Plenty of seafood variety that was cooked just right (not overdone). Spicy but good. My husband ordered a grilled romaine salad with steak. He ordered medium rare. The steak was well done and cut into little cubes instead of strips as would have been expected. It was an odd way to serve (hard to get on fork) but he thought the flavor was good. He was okay with it. We ended with a lava chocolate cake - not the best we ever had. Overall, we would return if just for cioppino but would be a little more careful on what we order. Service was good.
The food was good, not spectacular . The view was nice. Our server was really attentive. The part I really don't like was the tiny table. There were 4 of us in our family, and the table could've been bigger, esp I ordered the sampler wine, which took most of the space in front of me and it was hard to reach over to get to the appetizer. I looked around and that's how all the tables for 4 are.
Had a wonderful experience. Spent way more time there than I planned but the time flew by due to a great wait staff and incredible wine.
Food was horrible...cold, lacked flavor & the mashed potatoes tasted like they were days old!
Great music nice people good food and excellent wine Nick took care of us
We had a blast at the Journey Captured concert. Our table had a great view and we were able to sit there the whole concert. Highly recommend their concert series for date night or a night out with friends.
Concert and service was good. Food was not that good though and there was mold on the grapes from our cheese plate.
We attended the first concert of the season and were not disappointed.
The Staff was friendly and took good care of us. Our Server Brook was attentive and was able to answer my questions about the menu. The meal was delicious and Brook came by to make sure that we were enjoying our meal.
Even though it was a small beer list for my husband, the options were diverse and he was happy with the options he had to choose from.
Overall it was a great evening and we will definitely return again for other events. I am a wine club member, so I do visit the winery and bring company when I would like a good meal with a great view.
We love it here, it’s our go to spot: )
Excellent venue. We always love eating here. This time we were disappointed in the dessert. My wife ordered the cheesecake, but complained that the crust was dry & granular. We were told this was by design - a raw cheesecake! No offer to comp / no offer to provide something else. Disappointed in food & customer service!
Excellent meal and service by our waiter Conor was the best!
A great spot to enjoy the entrance to the Temecula Wine Valley. Great views, great food , wine and champagne. Stefanie provided outstanding service to make this day a memorable one!
The service was great and our food was fabulous. The only issue was with our dessert. We ordered the lava cake and it did not have any chocolate filling in the center. We would recommend this restaurant and will come again!
We really enjoyed the dinner, however there was a large group being served while we were there. We had a bit of a wait for our dinner, and the group was pretty loud.
Service was great. Lobster ravioli and scallops was great. Cioppino was non-traditional seasonings with lots of seafood.
Service was very slow. Could never find our server. Food came to table cold. Very pricey for quality of food. Do not plan to return
Birthday weekend getaway
Its been a long time since visiting this restaurant. I am glad I chose to return to celebrate my mothers birthday. Service was terrific and the Sunday brunch menu was extensive...many varied options. Will definitely return
Always a wonderful experience. The menu is diverse and the food, excellent (highly recommend the lobster ravioli and the seafood cioppino). Service is always fantastic.
We have been to Cafe Champagne several times and have never been disappointed. The brie en croute is to die for and the rest of the food is very tasty. Their champagne is awesome and their staff is friendly and knowledgable.
Saturday night 7pm reservation. Service was painfully slow, food was Workman like but overpriced. They call themselves a fine dining, they don’t have the right employees or trained chefs to be a fine dining
No cocktails or beer available, you have to order their Thornton Brand wine. Problem with that is Thornton thinks they can make 40 different wines, they are poor quality and such. And they charge a huge premium price for these crappy wines.
Stay a way
One of our favorite restaurants. They almost never disappoint us.
Everything was great except I had noted, cause you asked, that it was for my mom's (73rd) birthday when I made the reservation. It would have been nice if they knew that and brought her a dessert or something.
Second time it took more than 90 minutes to get our food.
Always a great time! Champagne flight and cheese board are excellent. Outstanding service.
