Cafe Campagne is one of Seattle’s best restaurants for many years. I have eaten there once or twice a year over the last 25 years, and my recent experience lived up to my high expectations.
The food is as delicious as you would expect from and excellent French restaurant. The servers are knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and unobtrusive. The atmosphere is French provincial. The location in the Pike Market is ideal.
We went there for our anniversary. Food was delicious and the service was amazing. We both had the prefix dinner. They no longer have the half off wine with the prefix as shown on Yelp but the wine and food was great. We shared the escaegots, I had the terrine de jambon persille and the moules marinieres. He has the market salad and the chicken and chanterelles sausage.
As always, Cafe Compagne provided us with a wonderful French meal in its superb French atmosphere. IF you miss Paris, this is the place in Seattle to go!
We had Sunday Brunch and it was fabulous. We will be back again soon.
It was a lovely restaurant. The only thing I would say is we arrived at 645 pm and needed to be at a play at 830 pm I felt that was plenty of time but the food did not arrive until 805 pm. We made it but it was cut close
Food was not peppery, but instead full of mouthwatering spectrums of flavors.
Waitstaff were attentive, but never interrupted. Place has cherry tables, intimate feeling and worked for a long lunch time conversation among good friends. Cassolette was divine. Pastries perfect. EVERYthing was perfect! The whole group went to heaven on the creme brulette and chocolate mousse. 10 stars!
Came here for lunch to celebrate my colleague's 1st year anniversary with the company. Really wanted to give her something nice for the great work she does day in and day out. This restaurant was fantastic from the beginning to the end. We had a tasty meal and we're recommended wine pairings unique to our meal choices. Top notch service and fantastic food. Can't wait to come back and bring my partner who loves French cuisine! He will love it!!
An intimate setting, with pleasant classic jazz vocals playing in the background. The cassoulet alone is worth the price of the dinner - absolutely the BEST. The French onion soup was also incredible. We had the best meal out in a long time, and worth every penny. Wonderful service, attentive but not overbearing. A lovely evening.
A lovely and cozy french cafe with excellent service.
Excelente opción para desayunar, en un ambiente muy agradable.
Pedimos Quiche, Croque Monsieur, y los croissants son espectaculares.
Tienen buen café, y el chocolate caliente muy bueno.
Have been going to Cafe Campagne for nearly 30 years. It has never disappointed.
It’s been about 2 years since we had lunch at Cafe Campagne and it was pretty disappointing. The side salads of the sandwiches were over dressed with too much vinegar. The sandwiches were over burdened with too much cheese. The calamari was cooked perfectly but swimming in way too much oil for the amount of calamari. The tuna on the salads nicoise was incredibly dry. It used to feel like we were in a cafe in France but no so now.
Both the food and the service are consistently excellent. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. It is a great place to take guests both local and from out of town.
New Year’s Eve dinner was excellent, great steak frites (best fries in town), perfect sole, an excellent wine and prompt, friendly but unobtrusive service.
A New Year’s Eve tradition!
We love having lunch here but also love having dinner here. Just had NYE dinner here and it was superb ❤️
Good foo dd's, poor service
Food was good and tasty but baguettes was old and cold !! Jam didn’t have any taste ! I felt Like I had bread with sugar! Our server was relax and kind of slow ! We where there on Sunday brunch which was very noise ! I am not sure about other days but not recommended for Sunday brunch ! But we loved our food !
Consistently the closest thing Seattle has to being in Paris.
Our server was charming and the food was excellent.
Celebrating my girls being home for the holidays.
I love Café Campagne for the feeling of being in Europe, enjoying a leisurely lunch. It's busy, but in a fun and casual way. On our recent visit, they were serving from the brunch menu (I think for the holidays although it was midweek lunchtime). The options are varied and I think can suit any appetite. I am always excited by a menu where several things sound great, and most of them are unusual, or at least not something I could easily make at home. And, my choice was in fact delicious! The server was excellent - attentive but not overly meddling. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants something a little different, in an atmosphere that makes you feel far from the USA.
The most amazing cassoulet in the city of Seattle by far!
Delicious, as always. Great tea, which is sadly not to be taken for granted at all restaurants.
I have been to the restaurant number of times, because I can always count on excellent food and service. It’s kind of a go to place when you’re in the area of Pike Place market
This is a beautiful small French restaurant with delightful service, fantastic food, and full bar. We always have great deals there. Highly recommended.
Very disappointed in the service. Our annual Christmas lunch at the Market and we waited over 10 minutes and then had to ask for our server. The restaurant was not busy. Had to ask for the check as well. Food was just okay this time. Disappointing all the way around.
Always love coming here. I order the cassoulet most times. Yum! Only had one issue this time. We were seated in the back dining room. I asked to switch to the table next to the original one since it had bench seating. We were the only ones in the room at that time. Waited and waited and waited. No one came to ask for our drink order. I finally went to the bar to order myself. The bartender asked who our server was, and I told him we did not know. The hostess then told us that our "server had not arrived yet." Yes, you read that correctly! So I got my drink from the bar and went back to my table. We waited patiently. Another server came back to wait on a couple who had just arrived (still an empty room, except for them and us now). I asked if she could help us and she said we weren't her section! Yes, you read that correctly again! Finally our server arrived and we got menus. The rest of the evening went wonderfully.
Favorite spot when we visit Seattle. Fantastic quiche and French toast. It’s in the market so it’s a fun spot to go to. It’s generally busy and fairly loud but that’s part of the fun.
The ouefs en mourette with fries was phenomenal, it’s worth going here just for this unusual (for Seattle) and delightful dish. The croque madame and cappuccinos were decent, but nothing to write home about. Service and ambiance were lovely and the overall experience was enjoyable.
Fabulous—a seattle classic that just gets better every time! Particularly warm and cozy and perfect in the winter months.
Good food. Noisy.
Excellent food, no complaints
Food tasted great, staff friendly, one best French food I ever tasted
It’s always hot, crowded, and noisy... but the food is outstanding and staff are very friendly!
One of our favorites for brunch when family and friends visit from out of town :)
Lovely meal and service, thank you!
I dine at Café Campagne 3 or 4 times a year, mostly for my birthday and special occasions with friends. Of all the delicious items on the menu, the crab quiche remains my favorite. The service is good, but I often feel a sense of trying to rush me out, when I dine solo. That also happened 11/30/19 -- my birthday -- when my coffee, croissant, and quiche were served all at once. (The glass of Moutard was delivered a couple of minutes later.) I could chalk this up to giving the server my order all at once; I'll test that theory next time, when I plan to order in stages. I also didn't like being seated next to the register and refill table. I usually sit in the front room of the restaurant, near a window. Again, my bad for not asking for another seating. I was trying to be as generous of spirit as possible on my birthday, I guess. I just wish fine dining establishments would stop automatically seating single diners at the most undesirable table. Why must we, the single diners, be the ones to voice our displeasure?
Brunch is always amazing here. Service is efficient and friendly.
Service was fantastic and amazing cassoulet and desserts. Thank you!
I like the ambience and experience at Campagne. We eat here at least once a month. Authentic food, good wine & desserts.
