Cafe Bricco - Akron
Focusing on Meats and Fish. Like our new lamb chop with mint risotto.
What an amazing dinner and overall experience. Fantastic Valentine’s Day options. Drinks were amazing. Best salmon I’ve ever had and I’m very picky with salmon!
Michael the bartender made the experience very good as usual
Overall it was a nice dinner especially when you think of how Covid has completely ruined most everything these days.
Thank you
Nice to see this place open again! We just had salads and pizza, served w great drinks by a nice waiter.
Good food and service. Limited Covid menu, but many good options. In the effort to follow Covid regulations, the atmospere has become very industrial. Metal chairs, no tablecloths, and no more booths make it seem rather cold, but I give them credit for making the adjustments. We try to support as many local establishements that are open as we can, and we hope others visit Bricco as well.
Although the waiter was very nice and the food was enjoyable we do not plan to dine again anytime soon. Upon entry I had a face covering folded in 2 layers over my face. The host abruptly said I needed a mask. I pointed to mine and said politely I have one. He then told me - No you need a “mask” - pointing to his-or you cannot walk through the restaurant or get up from your table. I was quite shocked. So as I started to rummage through my hand bag in the dark entry way- I simply asked it he had one- as 99% of establishments that require a face covering provide them if a patron doesn’t have one. He snapped back at me and said - No I don’t. I did find one. But after being treated so rudely we came very close to leaving. If you are going to require a specific kind of face covering then you should provide them. As a point to note - the surgical Disposable masks that the host and wait staff were wearing are not CDC approved N95 masks.
My dining companions also felt it was rude. We opted to dine with a local business on purpose to help sustain smaller establishments - rather than dine a at a chain. For now- we will take our business elsewhere rather than be treated unkindly - especially when the staff is not following CDC protocol themselves.
When a client comes to your establishment and orders a drink and is in happen with the way the bartender prepared it! I would expect for that drink to be made over to my Liking not the bartenders liking and to get charge for the bad drink and the new drink observe and the worst customer service I’ve ever experience with the Manager on duty! His words “ it wasn’t my bartender fault that your drink wasn’t right! She’s bartended for 8 years I have faith she made it correctly” WOW 😳 I work for Mercedes benz corporate customer service is everything the Lack of customer attention and service is very upsetting and should be Address ASAP
Went to eat on nye after trying to go to ksg, was not serviced there so we tried out this location. Very happy with service (nice waitress & fast) & food was great.
Despite the menu and advertisements saying they have gluten free noodles, this location does not. They only have the zucchini noodles.
Our table outside was way too close to the one next to it. Other than that, everything was great.
Insect on the table. Food below average. Very limited drink menu. Won’t go back.
We have frequented this Briccos for years! We typically have average or above service at Bricco Cafe.
Today’s service was barely poor! 😩 We had to ask for everything needed—cup for tea after it was served ( we finally took one off an empty clean table); cream for coffee; water for each individual; what the quiche specials were for the day the waitress had to go ask; appetizer served without plates to use. Yogurt served in Oikos container for fruit and yogurt order. Waitress was gruff, unengaged. (Restaurant was not busy—about 4 active tables at one time)
Hopefully next visit is better—or we wont be back😡
Compared to the Akron and Kent Bricco, this location is dreary and the service was deplorable.
Whiskey tasted like mint, music kept cutting in and out, waiter couldn’t take drinks back or replace...they don’t do that but at the same time said they had a previous bartender who was watering down the bottles. We had a reservation but they walked us past 6 open tables and placed us in a side room in the hotel...not what we or the other couple who sat there wanted or expected...we both left and won’t be back.
This restaurant was a hidden surprise!
The only thing positive was the waitress. Hostess absent from station. Hostess had to remake my martini and was very nice about it both entrees were cold. Cajun chicken and chicken piccata. Taste was good. Caesar salad was just ok. What happened to the Bricco Group? Closing one restaurant and looks like another!!
Great ambiance, service & food. Nice wine selections as well.
Our server was very flustered and obviously new. He needs much more direction and training to become a better server. He didn't know specials, forgot to put in one of our party's orders and was obviously flustered and overly apologetic. I can't say that I would ever recommend this particular location.
Not many choices. Food was just ok. Service was ok.
The food is very good with a lot of variety. There is even a creative cocktail menu. The service is good. The decor is dated and tired.
Wonderful as usual.
Great food and service. Prices are excellent for the value. Our guests were very pleased with our dining choice.
Waitress was great and attentive, even though they got slammed later on in the evening. Food and drinks were great as always.
Martinis were made great. We were one of two tables and the lack of customer service from our waitress was strange. The ice water tasted horrible we had to request bottled water. The water wasn’t warm although the waitress did tell us before hand. Then we were billed for said water all because of your horrible tasting water. Both meals were ok but far from delicious.
Pretty bad all the way around. All workers seemed rushed and annoyed. Service was bad, ridiculously slow, and orders came out wrong when they finally came. I waited for my food even longer than everyone else. No compensation was offered. Several others at different tables walked out. Can’t imagine going back.
Food just okay. Service slow. Very few people there.
Table bread was stale and dense. Tough to eat. Service was friendly but slow and mostly non existent. Description of food is phenomenal, but execution leaves a lot to desire. Got the chorizo pizza. Toppings were few and far between. Wife got medallion pasta. Two small medallions in it. Flavors for both were decent but not great. Overall very disappointing experience.
Went there for Father's Day breakfast and was very disappointed. Our breakfast took over an hour to arrive at our table and when it did it was not good. The pancakes were sent back because they were undercooked, and came back cooked, but dry. I was given the wrong omelet, when the correct one arrived it had a flavor that was almost inedible.
Have been there before and had a good experience. Will probably not go back.
We just had a bummer of an evening. Usually, the weather gets warm, we go to Bricco, sit outside and smile all evening. Not this time. Wait staff seemed confused. We didn’t get our napkins/ silverware we we sat down. Our appetizer came and we had no plates/ silverware...we ended up grabbing our own.
My sons steak was a 2/10 and for $29, that’s a shame.
It will be a long time before I go back.
Food was not worth the high price. Would have had better food at a chain location. Only one of us enjoyed our food.
The good- we got a table on a Saturday night with no waiting. The bad or average- there were minimal customers in the restaurant but service was still what I would consider slow. The waiter was polite and pleasant but took longer than it should have to get food. I ordered the baked Penne which was good and with a good-sized portion. My wife ordered the fish taco special. It was cold and she was expecting cooked. It would have been nice for the waiter to let us know when he was explaining the special that was a cold dish. Other than that all in all a very average or slightly below-average experience.
First time there, very surprised love the food atmosphere...awesome service
Usually enjoy this place but the service was terrible tonight and no one apologized. Took a friend who had never been and I’m sure he’ll never go back. Too bad.
Great food from local restaurant chain. This isn't just a hotel dining spot ... worth checking out if you aren't going to the downtown Akron location.
We made reservations for four, as my husband and I were dining with our son and girlfriend. We were immediately waited on as we sat at the bar. We noted a lot of young teens arriving for pre-homecoming dinner. We were shortly after seated at our table and I was surprised by the low noise level with so many there. Amanda, our waitress, was lovely and our food was excellent, along with our service. Will definitely be returning!
Took a bit long to get the food. Maybe 1 1/2 hours but once we did it was good. We passed the time well with drinks and conversations.
Great service and food! We were a party of six and were able to carry on conversation and enjoy our time!
I enjoyed my scallops and shrimp entree; however, two other guests in our party thought their steaks were over cooked. I do think it’s over priced for the value of the meal. The best part are the martinis.
The server yesterday who we used to have for our monthly breakfast is the best. it would be nice if management would arrange him to be for us every month!
The service was outstanding! However, they had changed their menu and we didn’t care for the new version as much as the old!
