Café Boulud is Chef Daniel Boulud’s reimagined French Brasserie located in the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville, Toronto. The restaurant serves a seasonally changing menu rooted in French tradition, highlighting both bistro classics and contemporary dishes inspired by Chef Daniel’s family meals in Lyon.

A gleaming rotisserie is used to slow-roast chicken à la broche, whole lobster, and even rum-scented pineapple. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and offer brunch on Sundays.

Designed by Martin Brudnizki of London. The vintage-inspired ambiance is highlighted by a comfortable lounge and wraparound banquettes, a dining counter, and a semi-private room that accommodates up to eight guests. The restaurant has received several accolades since its renovation including Best Restaurant in Canada at the Notable Awards and Canada's Hundred Best Restaurants.

Visited the cafe for lunch on Family Day. Ambiance was amazing at the resto, the decor was beautiful and vintage. The service was sub-par, considering this Cafe is in the Four Seasons and has a pricey menu. I ordered an omelette with mushrooms, I think there were about 5 mushrooms in total which I was disappointed with and the omelette was way too thick for my liking. Overall, I wouldn’t come back, I was expecting a much better experience than I got!

My wife and I went for a late Valentines day dinner. It was a fabulous experience. The menu is straight-fowardly 'French Bistro'. Onion soup, steak tartar, and steak frites, foie gras tourchon, ... All the favorites are here. This isn't a place to find the latest trend.

Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. I recommend Cafe Boulud for any romantic occasion.

Came here once before and the meal was fantastic. 2nd time here for belated valentine weekend. Apps were better than the mains. Wife orders steak medium rare and it arrives well over. Sends it back. We thought second steak would arrive shortly. I finish my main.. And her steak shows up 5 minutes later and it still wasn't a perfect medium rare. So basically I ate mine with her staring at me and she ate hers with me staring at her. Just terrible.

We also ordered an expensive wine. Waiter comes and pours remaining bottle. Then takes it away with at least a full glass remaining. We thought he did this thinking they are bringing extra glasses of something special for the steak screw up. Nope. I'm sorry.. But everyone knows the mark up of wine, and then we lose a glass on a bottle. Not acceptable. It felt like this place just can't operate well while it's busy. We won't come again.

Went for Brunch with a baby and stroller. They were very accommodating with giving us a table with room around. The food was good, the portions were big and the service was very attentive. Would definitely do brunch again.

The hostesses were absolutely charming. Had the crepes and the Eggs Benny and they were both really good. I suppose it can't be helped in a large hotel, but I could have done without the bevy of loud infants. It be nice if they had a quiet section. Other than that, it was really nice place with a great decor.

Cafe Boulud has been consistently good every time I’ve gone with my wife. Brunch and dinner has attentive service; the food is fantastic with great portions; and it has a nice ambiance that isn’t distracting when you’re trying to talk. It’s definitely our place for special occasions now.

Sorry I cannot give this restaurant a great review. I had high expectations and the restaurant came short of these expectations. I understand that this restaurant is under a great chef who serves up bistro inspired French food. Overall, I think the food lacked interest and taste. It was very bland, save for the deserts, which were tasty and imaginative. I ordered salmon trout and while it was competently cooked, it was tasteless, no citrus, no herbs, nothing but a piece of fish on a plate with vegetables and potatoes. My friend ordered duck and it was also pretty tasteless. Sorry, I would have liked to have said better things but just feel that I cannot lie.

My friend and I both ordered steak frites for lunch. The fries were the worst we have ever had with steak frites. Either they are just really bad or were sitting around for a long time and got cold. The décor in the restaurant was nice enough and the chairs were comfortable. My friend said that her steak was undercooked. Dessert was just average. Quite a disappointment for a restaurant in a Four Seasons.

Everything was excellent. The service was quick, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly. I was here at lunch with a friend and have previously been to Cafe Boulud for dinner. The main difference was the lighting. The interior lighting was too bright during the day. I enjoyed the ambiance when I was there for dinner. It made me feel like my friend and I were alone in a busy room. I was expecting that same feeling at lunch. This is a minor opinion. Everything was lovely otherwise.
