It's everything you expect from a Daniel Boloud restaurant, everything was wonderful.
Outstanding! Exceeded our (high) expectations. Excellent service, ambience, and food.
We had a lovely brunch with menu items a little different but very tasty and well presented. Service was warm and inviting. We will not hesitate to returm again.
Always amazing service and food was delicious.
The best service of any restaurant I have ever eaten at. Have been there many times. Four is consistently superb.
The food and or server were wonderful. Excellent meal!
I enjoy this restaurant, but having to send back a drink, carve away the cores of my tomatoes, having 2 small cubes of avocado in my tomato & avocado salad, & essentially a soup & salad lunch costing $95 has made me decide to come less - although I will come!
Breakfast was enjoyable. The Florentine omelette was perfectly cooked and complimented nicely by a small salad. Service was first class. Would definitely return.
Exceptionally well prepared food. Yes, it’s pricey. For a special occasion really enjoyable and the ingredients and care put into everything is truly wonderful. Have the fish. Seriously.
I had a great time. I visited again today for lunch as well and also had a great time.
Overall it was OK. The food wasn’t spectacular or anything to rave about. However the desserts were yummy delicious!
Great service with a very polite waiter (Zac) and the food was excellent
Good for convenient food if staying at the hotel.
Keep in mind we don’t have a lot of French dining experience.
Ambiance, and service is TOP NOTCH. Irene/Airene I believe was our server. She was excellent.
Food wise - It was a little less than I expected.
Started with foie gras, and escargot. You can see how much technique went into the foie dish but it’s not very flavourful. To be honest I think the bread slices are cut too thick for this dish. The escargot app was good - the butter parsley sauce was delicious!
For mains we had the duck confit and the scallops.
Both beautifully prepared, and plated. They just didn’t wow me.
Scallops I thought was a bit cold. Could have used more salt. The confit was tender, the gravy was delicious - perfectly serviceable.
Desert we had: (I believe) rose ispahan and we had a chocolate cake dish (the name eludes me) both good.
Drinks - we had birds of a feather, very good. And a “four seasons” cocktail - overly sweet. I asked for something else and they kindly reserved me an old fashioned, which was perfect.
Overall - a lovely evening. I really want to be wowed by French cuisine, but the meal didn’t do it for me. It’s an expensive restaurant, owned by a world famous chef, in an expensive hotel so I wasn’t surprised by the bill.
That said - I think I’ll try again, on a special occasion.
Service was impeccable and food was delicious.
Prices were relatively high compared to portions served.
Elegant, modern decor. Delicious, we’ll-presented food. Wonderful service.
Everything was perfect. Our server was amazing and very patient with us older folk
Excellent as always, never disappoints. The service was very attentive and the food was excellent, although the menu was limited with more brunch options than lunch, considering it was 1.45 pm. But apart from this, everything was top-notch.
Great food, fantastic cocktails, and an ideal spot for a special occasion. Special thanks to the bartender for the excellent drinks.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals including the steak, duck confit, trout and cappelletti. The peary godmother cocktail was fantastic with a beautiful presentation! Service from Dennis was perfection as always.
Place is great! Furniture is really nice! Would go again!
I’ve dined at Cafe Boulud for many years and every experience has been impeccable.
Highly recommend. Everything was fantastic. Can't wait to return.
Great food, great service. A nice wine list with wines you don’t find everywhere (price range from $75 for a good white or red up to $6500 for a Petrus 2008). The appetizers were great (steak tartar and Nicoise salad). Halibut was the main of the day. Macarone for desert (a large on filled with whole raspberries and a cream), it was delicious. Not very busy, nice upscale atmosphere.
The absolute best! I had a solo lunch here after my massage upstairs and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the waiter(s) were the nicest group of people I’ve encountered at a restaurant in a long time and since I casually brought up my birthday was in a couple of days and they brought me out the Ispahan macaron. I will 100% be coming back and I encourage you all to try it. The four seasons is such a jewel and never disappoints.
Great ambiance and food. One of the best dessert menus in Toronto
It was good , our first server could of been better
Great service and food
Service, ambiance and food were top level!
Service was great, very accomodating of allergies. Food was excellent as well, I really liked the crepes.
Wow, first time here! Ask for Dennis, perfect complement of food, atmosphere and paced meal. Great suggestions and guidance throughout. Well done!
Great food and service! Perfect for a date night.
Amazing meal with the best staff in the city. Thanks for taking care of us Dennis.
The waiter kept interrupting us mid conversation, and presented the bill without being asked. We left after he presented the bill and walked over to Sassafraz for drinks and chats. Why were they rushing us out, I do not understand .
bartender is very good. would definitely recommend brunch time.
We thought we were going to an exceptional brunch, what a disappointment…plain decor, poor service (the server did not even bother to ask if we like the food), very plain food 9the fruit plate is cafeteria style…where is the touch of chef Bolud? Do not waste $150 for 2 for such a poor brunch.
The food was very salty and compared to the quality, overpriced. Very loud music was playing from downstairs where there was a bar, which was appropriate there by due to the open concept, it was not very pleasant upstairs, where we were sitting in the restaurant.
Service was relaxed and not rushed and food looked like a picture and was amazing.
