I highly recommend visiting while you can order from the Octoberfest menu. Our party of six had three appetizers and each ordered a different dinner plate. All of them were amazing!
We had the best dinner on the patio! All of the Oktoberfest specials were so delicious!
The pig roast for Oktoberfest was fantastic. The food, the beer, the desert - all were fantastic!
A fun afternoon with friends. We had a delightful time and look forward to eating there again.
Oktoberfest pig roast outstanding as always
We would go about 3 times a year but not since covid. Less on the menu and we asked for some bread. The answer was we dont have any? They do most of the baking on premises?
Tasty food, good German beer selections, and a wonderful al fresco experience. Must try some of the Deutschland Riesling with any of your meals.
Cafe Berlin is a cozy neighborhood stand by with a relaxed vibe and tasty German-inspired food.
My husband loves the jagerschnitzel & he gets it every time we come here. Last night I had the trout & was very happy. I also love the Hefeweizen, which is served in a wonderful tall glass!
Absolutely, without a doubt, fantastic. As good as German food in Germany. If it's your first time and you want the experience, order everything that looks good. Totally worth it! Also, the Cherry Blossom Fizz was on point 💯
Loved every bite. The indoor decor was not exciting, but did not detract. Would love to eat outside next time.
Outstanding as always!!!
As always, our dinners were delicious, and the warm welcome was like coming home.
Great place to sit outdoors and enjoy an authentic German beer— on tap! The wiener Schnitzel is crispy and tender. Cucumber dill salad is just the freshness needed. We started with curry wurst. Awesome. Service is friendly and efficient.
Great place to eat dinner! Very good food and beer!
Outstanding food, great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Berlin Cafe is always a treat. The chef definitely has a gift with fish (cod this time around). A cloth napkin restaurant with seriously above average food.
One of my long time favorites but have not been there in a while due to the pandemic. The food was better than I remembered and of course the selection of German beers is outstanding. Combine that with a great patio and overall it was an excellent experience. I’ll be going back
It was visiting an old friend after a long absence. A colleague and I returned to Cafe Berlin after a long Covid absence and noticed lots of favorite things and some changes. The welcome was warm, we were led to our seats, ordered drinks, perused the menu and caught up with a long-time server who filled us in on changes. We had the sauerkraut balls, which were had a larger size than they had before but were as good as ever. My colleague had the half sausage platter and I had the jagerschnitzel. Both were prepared with attention to detail, were delicious, and brought back warm memories of things as they had been. We didn't have room for dessert, but this first visit in 18 months convinced us that we will visit again soon for good food and warm, friendly service.
Outstanding, authentic food and fantastic service. We're will be back!
the room was very cold and the music was annoying
the food was okay, but not typical German food that we expected
Tim was an excellent bartender and server. Excellent suggestions, particularly the very tasty Gruner Veltliner. It paired well with the fish plate and the pork. The blueberry peach torte was delicious, and huge.
I will definitely be back.
It was great! Great food and great service
We ate outside despite the rain and everything was excellent. They could use a bit more light outside after the sun sets though.
Excellent German food very nicely prepared and presented.
We ate outside in the patio but we could not see the food as there wasn’t enough lighting. Food was good but a bit too salty for me. Dessert was the best part of the evening
The food was delicious and well-cooked. We had the fish with seasonal veggies. The German beer is the best in the city!
Wonderful food and service !
Such fun. Highly recommend!!
Very nice evening with great food and service! We were hoping to sit outside in the Biergarten but had to opt for inside instead - recommend being specific when making your reservations.
Best German Food in DC, hands down.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere and dining experience was absolutely fantastic!
This restaurant never disappoints. I work close by and first learned of it when they had a wild game menu. Since eating here in 2019 I have been back multiple times, and this is a key stop for me when relatives visit. Additionally, during the pandemic they had a wonderful and reasonably-priced to-go menu.
Amazing food and service. Tim was a great bartender willing to talk or have you alone depending on your wants. Food was incredible. Definitely worth eating there when you visit DC.
Second time visiting and had a great experience. Wonderful food and attentive service. The bartender, Tim, makes a great manhattan. All in all, wonderful.
Wonderful! Special birthday desert complementary. Love it! Thank you!!!
Reuniting with friends we made while we lived in Germany at Cafe Berlin was a great decision—the fresh and authentic food, the playful German ambiance added to the fun of our celebration.
We chose to eat inside. Waitstaff were friendly and engaging.
Usually I complain about staff asking frequently “how’s everything. That certainly was not the case here. Long waits between courses, refills..,
Delicious, authentic German food, great dry Rieslings and Gruner Veltliner, great beers, convivial and relaxed patio, good service and value. A wonderful, comforting, high-quality go-to.
Great food highly recommend.
