Café Berlinは1985年以来、キャピトルヒルで本格的なドイツ料理を提供しています。3棟のタウンハウスのグランドフロアに店舗を構えています。フロントヤードは屋外ダイニング用のビアガーデンとして利用しています。内部には小さなバーと2室の居心地の良いダイニングルームがあります。ユニオン駅と国会議事堂が徒歩圏内にあります。政治家、議会議員、観光客のほか、近隣住民の熱心なファンを引き付けています。伝統料理は、ドイツ料理の豊富な経験を持つシェフが軽いタッチを添えて本格的に調理しています。定番メニューに加えて、春の新鮮なアスパラガス、夏のサラダと軽食、秋のオクトーバーフェストの間のバイエルン料理、冬の狩猟肉料理を特徴とする、季節により異なるメニューを提供しています。店内で作られる作り立てのデザートには、リンゴのシュトルーデル、ブラックフォレスト・ケーキ、甘美なクリームトルテなどがあります。バーでは、ドイツ産の輸入ビールとワインのリストを提供しています。

    We started with the breztel always a favorite, though be careful the pretzels are hot. Entrees were the mustard pork loin special, Sauerbraten Kurze Rippe and Wiener Schnitzel. All were great washed down with a few cold draft beers. Service was impeccable.

    Delighted to return to Cafe Berlin for a birthday dinner. Wonderful carrot soup - distinctive and delicious. Sauerbraten was well prepared. Chocolate cake a tasty finish along with excellent coffee and a cappuccino. The service was excellent, friendly and informative. Quiet at 5.15 but louder with families by 6.15.

    Too dang loud. Filled with overweight screechy 20somethings swilling beer from oversized mugs, thinking they’re getting the “Bavarian experience.”The apple strudel you wait 35 minutes to bake is bland with the worst ice cream I’ve ever had. Service is meh.
