It’s this ‘circle of sustainability’ that will surround your visit – a sense of belonging to the environment and to the beautiful Evergreen Brick Works venue. It’s this dedication to provenance, preparation and presentation that stand as a testament to value.
Good brunch this morning. Ordered toast as a side, then ordered jam. Did not think jam should be an extra charge of $2.
Otherwise, good experience.
loved it all .. big portions though! nice casual place .. love a place that cares about the flatware, dishware napkins etc. great LATTE.
Sumi was amazing and treated us like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Ambiance was so cozy and the food was fantastic. I have been there several times and always a great experience.
Great food and environment. Friendly staff. Family friendly!!
Number one in my books! Supports local and seasonal – well prepared food and an outstanding ONTARIO wine list.
Excellent last minute dinner. Always a good bet that there will be something delicious here. We only had charcuterie, soups and salads but wished we had a bigger appetite for the sharing plates. They are always good. It's a little cold down there at the brickworks so wear lots of layers in cold weather. Windows are lovely to look out of but drafty. Great service and great food for casual Friday dinner.
Always great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Does not disappoint. Brunch is to die for. I will be returning
The food as always was excellent - the service in our experience was also, as always, mediocre.
Delicious food in a wonderful setting. The restaurant is very attractive and comfortable and the views in the valley and the brickworks are great. Plus you can take a walk, go to the market, enjoy some skating or take your kids to the playground.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal. Staff was friendly and did an excellent job. And no one rushed us out even though we were last people there!
Unique experience, wonderful food, professional staff, friendly service. Great location. A year round gem.
Delicious food and brilliant service. Great atmosphere for a relaxing Saturday afternoon meal in a beautiful setting.
Great recommendations to try the Mac and Cheese. Salads were filling and buttermilk visit was a perfect accompaniment.
The brunch was outstanding! Perfect place to take the family for the holiday season lunch.
A group of 7 of us including 3 children had brunch and it was fantastic. Service was amazing very accommodating. Eggs Benedict with trout was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
Great place for anyone (child to adult). Staff is excellent. Venue is perfect ... Bring clothing you are comfortable making a light hike in in summer and that you can skate in in winter.
Our guests were late but our server was very accommodating...
Everybody at CB is always so friendly - we have dined there each Saturday for the last few weeks and we’re remembered each time (which is quite remarkable, given the number of people who must eat there daily).
Then there’s the food, which is superb. The smoked trout is a must.
The wine list is also excellent; all local, all great. Try anything from Leaning Post - you won’t be disappointed.
Great service and food!!
Really good food, though $30 per plate after tax without drink is a little steep for brunch.
Great food. Great service.
The parking situation confusing. We all paid but it was complimentary! Food sounded better than it tasted.
Great food but ran out of key ingredients and had to replace with sausage, which wasn’t my preference. Kitchen should be prepared for a Sunday Brunch
Great food if a bit expensive, enjoyed the brunch in the sunlit Hall. Great place to visit after a bit of a walk in the wooded area around.
Love this place! Amazing food and love the vibe. Great service!!
Delicious delicious brunch.
Had the Saturday Brunch and it was great. I had the Frittata and my partner had the Challah French Toast with grilled peaches. Both were excellent. Server was attentive and helpful. It was busy so good idea to book reservation. After lunch walked the fresh market next door.
Excellent service, great ambiance, delicious food, easy to get a reservation at short notice. Pricier than expected, given the options. $25 for pancakes!
Nice spot, busy on a weekend. Brunch prices are exorbitant. Place was packed though!
Service very slow - surprising for weekend brunch. Many people behind the counter wandering around and wiping glassware (though drinks took forever too) who perhaps should have helped the kitchen.
As always, the ethos of this place rings true. We love the food. We love the space; particularly on a glorious sunny day. That said, this is the third visit in a row where the service has been deflating - as in, it is was so bad this visit that my fries didn’t taste as good. For example, it took the server 15 minutes (I think it was her third visit to the table) before offering me coffee. I actually didn’t even order coffee when she finally asked because my diastolic was getting the best of me. Not to mention: the place was not full (although I think the patio was busy). I’m all about being understanding with service - people (myself included) have bad days. But this is the third consecutive visit where the service was amateur. While this isn’t haute cuisine, it isn’t Denny’s either. Cafe Belong needs to Bebetter.
Only thing that may prevent me from going back was the parking on a Saturday morning during farmers market. It was a mess
We enjoyed the patio scene and the food was unique and good
Belong has been a favourite for birthdays and treats, but today was very disappointing. Service was incredibly slow—we Waited about 40 minutes at least for our meal and we were both disappointed with the dishes we ordered. When I told the server why I didn’t like the dishes, she dismissed my complaint because my dish was “a favourite”. My friend ordered pancakes which were burned and over cooked and she wasn’t offered more coffee. I don’t believe that Belong offers good value now. Apart from being unhappy with our meal, the cafe was extremely noisy; there was a party with attendees who were screaming and yelling, so all in all, this was a negative experience and I doubt that I’ll book it again.
The food is just good. The portions are very large to match the price tag, but too large. The service was good enough but not great, again, for these kind of prices.
I would come back only because it's in a very nice setting (brickworks) and the cocktails are pleasant.
Delicious food and professional service.
A little pricey for what you get. Considering this a destination spot and far off the beaten path, I suppose they think they can charge high prices for not overly exceptional food. You are a captive audience and I felt taken advantage of from that perspective. $75 for two people for lunch - without any alcohol- is a bit too much.
Much pricier than expected, but great food, service, and patio. Would go back!
