I had a delightful brunch with my partner. The food was quite tasty, such as the Spanish shrimp & grits, Spanish Cubano & breakfast paella. The sangrias had a nice kick!

Always enjoy the food, sangria and festive atmosphere at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba. Top spot to bring friends and family visiting from out of town!

Service started put great but the waiter disappeared for 15 minutes just when we were looking to get the check and pay. Highly recommend the bacon-wrapped dates, the chicken thighs, and the baked goat cheese. Avoid the pork paella - far too greasy.

My boyfriend and I come here ALL the time. This is our favorite place to go to dinner ever. As a Christmas present I wanted to treat my parents and little brother to a weekend in Chicago and have dinner here.

I made a reservation weeks in advance and when we got there it was about an hour long wait. We didn’t complain, but checked in every once in a while with the hostess to see if our table was ready.

It was finally ready and everyone absolutely LOVED everything! We got grilled octopus, spicy potatoes, goat cheese, green peppers, Spanish sausage and the seafood paella! Along with 3 pitchers of sangria and my dad had 2 beers. The manager, Jessica, came over to our table to apologize sincerely for the wait and was so sweet she even took care of the whole bill!! We were taken by surprise and so so so so incredibly appreciative of this kind gesture.

Thank you so much Jessica!! You didn’t need to do all of that but we are extremely appreciative! Regardless we would come back, but that was the nicest thing I’ve ever experienced.

We have a great time here. There are now tapas places all over Chicago who serve what Ba-Ba-Reeba serves, but they do it well and get the food out quickly. Service is prompt and friendly. Restaurant starting to get a little worn around the edges. Could do with a refresh.

Always great food at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! We always get the goat cheese, croquetes, and peach sangria, among others. Unfortunately, our waitress did not seem happy to be there and was rude at times.

My boyfriend and I had the bacon wrapped dates, spicy potatoes with tomato alioli, spinach and manchego stuffed mushrooms, grilled squid, and the seafoood paella. It was all delicious and worth getting. I had the passion fruit sangraría and my boyfriend tried both the mango and red wine sangria his favorite was the red wine. I definitely want the potatoes again though they were my favorite!

We come here every New Year's Eve. Three tapas are delicious and they have a range of vegetarian options as well. Although, if you do eat meat, try the bacon-wrapped dates. They're so decadent!!

3 of us From out of town but a friend told us to go here and it was the best food we ate the 10days in Chicago ! The small plates were all tasty and delicious; bacon wrapped dates, Brussel sprout salad , and paella were fantastic as were the dessserts; butterscotch pudding just like my grandma’s; Sangria slurping good !! The waiter helped us decide on some of Foods and was VERY attentive and helpful all night so it was well worth our Uber drive there !!

Never bored coming here - great ambiance, welcoming hosts, excellent food, cheerful atmosphere, large cozy place (rare), top-notch service and really tasty, authentic Spanish dishes. Add a pitcher of red sangria and you'll leave a happy man! For desert, get a butterscotch - it's delicious!

Food was excellent, really the only negative thing was the waiter we had was not very helpful with the menu. We ordered the cheese board and he had no knowledge of what he was serving. When asked what he would recommend just happened to be the most expensive things on the menu. He was nice though. Food was outstanding though.

Absolutely my new favorite restaurant!! Every single item on the menu was to die for, the mushrooms, Potatos, paella, down to the deserts and sangria. Will absolutely be coming back here. The place was quite large but every table was full! It’s a hidden treasure

I don’t usually expect great service here, because the servers have so many tables, but this time we had to keep asking for water refills, ordering more tapas, etc. The tone of the restaurant turns sour the moment you reach the host stand and check in, because they don’t “officially” check you in until your entire party arrives, then once they do, they still make you wait for an open table. If the hosts were more transparent and friendly, it wouldn’t give guests anxiety about finally being able to sit down. The food is pretty great and the drinks aren’t too over priced! It’s great for chill dates and chill friends who don’t have any agenda or timeline in mind!

The food was not as good as it once was. Everything that was fried was way overdone, either it was left too long in the fryer or the temperature of the fryer was off. The garlic shrimp need to be cooked in a cast iron skillet; instead they came out almost poached. I used to crave this place but no longer.

Always loved this restaurant, but this time it was very noisy, crowded, and service was just okay. Four of us went on Christmas Eve, when few restaurants are open. Seated in a small dining room where noise bounced off walls. Not relaxing. Food is always good, menu interesting, tables very tiny for 3 flights of wine and small plates for 4 people. Won't be returning on a busy night again.

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba never disappoints. My friends and I came here, ordered so much delicious food and everything we had was delicious. The pear sangria was perfect, and I love that desserts are single portions so you can try what you want without committing to one big dessert. Also, the price is beyond reasonable. A great choice for a girls' holiday catch up evening.
