Our server - Tabitha - was quite slow. She was not very present and we were left waiting sometimes 15-20 minutes in between tapas. Could have been better and made for a better experience..
We had a great time at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba. The food was flavorful, service was top notch, and so was the ambience. Overall, this is a winner in my book and I can’t wait to come back with my extended family.
Our food was fantastic, the service was professional and patient, and a great overall value. We didn't feel rushed and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine.
We were visiting my boyfriend son in Chicago. He suggested this restaurant. The food was exquisite and , service great
Food is outstanding! Fun place to get together. One of my favorite Chicago places!!
Our courses came out surprisingly slow and the food was not hot. I suspect our food was dying on the line and not being run to our table right away.
BA ba Reba isn consistently one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. Lots of tasty small plates and great sangria.
Fantastic! We very much enjoyed the up-beat ambiance, best waiter in the world, and delicious tapas. Fun and relaxed at the same time. We will be back!
Second time visiting, always an enjoyable experience. Gluten free friendly, really nice personnel and great atmosphere.
A memorable experience. Unique, tasty food. It stands out among the rash of ordinary restaurants.
Always great food and service. If you are there for brunch start with the short stack, it is a delight.
Great place for a group to share small plates and get a variety of different food
Everything was alright. The energy has dropped from when they first opened and its apparent.
Ashley was amazing! Great food!
Was a great experience even though we had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation. Scored free desserts for the inconvenience.
3 friend and myself met for dinner here and loved it! We split a pitcher of the classic sangria where we each had 2 glasses. We had 2 orders of paella and each ordered a tapas item and it was the perfect amount! When it was time to pay, we were pleasantly surprised with the bill only being around $25 each! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Very busy and lively. Loved the food.
Great food and atmosphere
A couple of friends had recommended it to us. The place is quaint with a nice atmosphere. the food was enjoyable (not great) and the service was average. Our other experiences in Chicago were better.
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is my most missed restaurant in all of Chicago. Prior to moving to AZ, I went here for about every occasion you can think of. I celebrated my birthday here, college graduation celebration, started a bachelorette party off with dinner and sangria here, attended a baby shower, had family dinners, first dates, a brunch date with my husband over Christmas as well as most recently catching up with a friend I haven't seen in awhile when I was back in town. I have never been disappointed no matter how big or small the group. The design of the restaurant is perfect as it has many rooms so it can easily accommodate a private events such as business dinners and makes date nights feel more intimate as you are in a room with just a few other diners. The menu has options for everyone and the small plates are perfect for foodies who like to try a variety or people who can't simply make up their mind. You must try the Chicken Curry Salad, the Bacon Wrapped Dates, the Baked Goat Cheese, the Beef Empanadas, the Calamari and when they have it on the menu the Spanish Cesar Sales. For drinks, I highly recommend the Cava Sangria but the Passion Fruit, Peach or classic Red is amazing as well and finishing off with a 10 year Tawny Port is the perfect accompaniment to their Chocolate Cake or Carmel Apple Empanada. If you catch brunch here, the Bloody Mary bar is a must as well as the chicken and waffles & french toast.
I came here for the first time with some friends who had been before. The service was great and all of our dishes came out very fast. We loved almost everything we ordered, especially the pirri Porto chicken and the chickpea stew. We were disappointed in the meatballs due to lack of flavor but other than that we enjoyed our time!
Nice neighborhood Tapas restaurant. Great service with unique dishes. Reasonably priced, not cheap however. Best to use public transportation as parking can be a challenge.
We loved the food and ambience!
Extremely loud. Food took forever to get to the table, lots of dishes with mayo, not really good tapas
This was such a wonderful experience. They were running late, and we had a wait a bit for our reservation time. They gave us three tapas for free for our wait. Such incredible service!
This is a very good place to dine out with the whole family specially if you have little ones. They really accommodate kids, they even have complimentary carrot sticks and hummus and complimentary desserts (apple slices and grapes) for kids! My kids and I loved the breakfast paella as it had sausage and eggs in it! Super yummy and affordable. One of the best restaurants for brunch, and believe me coz brunch is my thing and I'm a foodie. I have tried so many brunch places and this one is definitely one of the best ones. Plus it's unique coz it's breakfast tapas and when have you ever eaten paella for breakfast?
This restaurant was recommended to us by someone who used to live in Chicago. We thoroughly enjoyed the environment, relaxing and airy. Our server was friendly and efficient. Our choices arrived quickly, after starting with the delicious and dense house bread and drinks. The classic red sangria was very good, not too sweet. Our favorite was the Moroccan lamb kebabs - moist, delicious with bits of lemon peel in the meat. Will certainly go back!
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba has few things that are always true. 1. The food is exceptional and they deliver on each dish time and time again. 2. The atmosphere changes by the particular room they put you in - dramatically. Considering there are 5 or 6 different rooms it’s hit or miss.
Our foursome had a most enjoyable meal. We ordered several appetizers, including the chorizo/date with cheese, which was heavenly, but 2 orders for it consisted of only 2 dates, which seemed a bit skimpy. The brussel sprout salad was crisp and tasty, and the pork and seafood paellas were delicious. Wine selections were great, perfect for the type of food. ( I had ordered a campari and soda, and was a bit surprised the bar didn't offer campari.) Service was excellent, and we love the food, so we'll be back for sure.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. I love this place!
Great ambiance, service, and especially food. We were there for brunch on our anniversary, and loved the tapas menu. Will be back for sure, and try the bloody mary bar
Had a great time here. Our server was awesome and the food was great. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates and stuffed mushrooms!
Always an amazing time here! Food and service were exceptional, was a bit noisy but overall such a great time!
Food is Great! Service was great! Atmosphere is fun!
Good service and good food! The portions were smaller than I remembered, but the food was still enjoyable. Cozy and cool vibe.
We always seem to get the same waitress and we always feel just a tad rushed. I mean yes we get you want to turn the table but gosh you’re putting a $40 tip on the line....cool it.
Other than that....we live for this place.
Food and service was amazing!
We celebrated a birthday. The birthday girl had never been to Cafe Ba Ba Reeba. She loved being able to taste all the different dishes, the peach sangria and the exciting atmosphere.
Fantastic vibe, great selection of well prepared items, speedy service, good and reasonable wine list!
