What Insiders Are Saying
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is a tapas restaurant that's been around for a long time. It's ideal for a lot of occasions.
Have been going over 30 years and never been disappointed!
Absolutely delicious and unique as always. Everything is always so flavorful, one of our favorite places in the city!
We had to ask to move because we were sat near the kitchen entrance. The food was ok, not the best tapas we have had.
Brunch with baby. Went well
Best paella and Bloody Mary Bar
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is a must-dine when friends or family are in town, and this weekend was no exception. Despite how busy the restaurant is, we never felt rushed, our server was so lovely and helped make great recommendations, and the food was AWESOME. We loved the lamb skewers, chicken and chorizo skewers, the chicken empanada is awesome, and the rest is all delicious. We had theater tickets and made the show in good time with no stress of being late. See you soon, Babareeba!
We've been coming to Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba for a long time and each time we come we have an even better experience than the last. Can't say enough good things about the food, atmosphere, and service.
Our favorite restaurant of over 20 years! Everything is delicious! The perfect place to dine with family and friends for brunch, lunch or dinner and to share Spanish style tapas. Our favorites include Patatas Bravas, Bacon Wrapped Dates, and empanadas.
Always a delight to dine here. Their brunch is so enjoyable. The wait staff is helpful in answering any questions. Their Bloody Mary bar offers so many delicious options to your drink. Whether for brunch on the weekends or dinner they never disappoint.
BaBa always great, but the seating is so hard. Would have liked a better table but we will take what we can get.
Great food, great atmosphere. Please make reservations in advance to save yourself the headache of a 2 hour wait.
We went there to celebrate and the place was perfect. The food was mostly great (our only dissappointment was with the paella, which was way too dry and tasted more like a regular rice plate with toppings). The variety of tapas was perfect and the Bloody Mary bar very cool.
Great food as always! Brought my friend here who is GF and I called ahead to see if there were gluten free options — I had no idea there is an entire gluten free menu! This should be advertised more for the GF community.
Highly recommend everything on the menu - we loved the black raspberry sangria to share.
Celebrated my birthday early and our waitress brought me a dessert - so sweet.
We had a great time, delicious as always.
Seriously, so amazing! I love this place.
We live in Indianapolis but whenever we're up in Chicago for a weekend we try to make a visit to Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba. It's a big favorite for all ages, the food is delicious, and the milieu is fun.
Great place! Good for vegetarians. Good sangria. Would recommend.
Plates were dirty. Sangria was a pitcher of mostly ice. Waiter was great. Food good and bad.
My mom and I went out for dinner at this place and we loved everything, from the tasty food to the outstanding service and ambiance. Would recommend it to anyone!
Best tapas food in Chicago. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years!
The food & service was amazing ! The environment was beautiful and I did not expect it to be so spacious inside. Food came out on perfect timing. Dishes were amazing !
My favorite place! Try the spicy potatoes, shaved brussel sprout salad & the sangria!
One of my favorite Chicago restaurants! The food is always quality and they are so accommodating of me being Gluten Free (love the menu is so clear and that the wait staff knows what is just cross contamination and what actually has gluten in it!)
Cafe Ba Ba Reeba never disappoints! Been going there for 30 years!
Food was terrific! Server was helpful and friendly but we often found ourselves wanting things and the server wasn't there. We needed refills and waited for some time. We didn't have enough flatware and had to ask. We never got bread, though tables sat after us did, and we had to ask. This is a small complaint, I suppose, but the cumulative effect was frustrating.
BaBa Reeba is one of our favorite restaurants. We've been going for 20 years. This past Sunday felt like the service was slow. Waited along time for casa de cabra we placed with another tapas order. Also, Paella was not as flavorful or crispy on the bottom as we have experienced in the past. Hope this was just an unusual experience.
The food was great. The service was great. It was noisy it still pretty great
I loved this place!!! Beautiful interior and well attentive staff. Food was delicious and the sangria comes in large amounts if requested. Great for a big party but make reservations for sure
Love Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! Fun atmosphere, great variety of food. Something for everyone. That's our go-to place for casual family gatherings. Celebrated our daughter's birthday and they added a special treat for the celebration. Great sangria too!
Great brunch experience!
Dinner was great but brunch the following day was out of this world!
Haven't been in three years and was not disappointed! Always a fantastic selection of tapas to choose from making every visit a unique experience. Lively atmosphere and great value I find when compared to other restaurants in the area.
We will return on our next trip to Chicago!
We had a fabulous dinner. The menu is simply amazing, and the service was excellent. We can't wait to return.
Fantastic service. Great food and drinks. A bit pricey
We had a great time! The food was great and we enjoyed the brunch tapas.
Awesome! Get the dates. And the braised short ribs. And the spicy potatoes.
Ms. Paz our server was outstanding! So attentive and caring! Loved our experience with her 😊
I went to Cafe Ba Ba Reeba for their happy hour and it was well worth it. Their sangria was delicious. And I loved the beef empanadas. I will definitely be back!
The food was great.
One of my favorite places to go for dinner for small or large groups! I came here for date night and we were placed in a corner so noise was relatively low than on other nights. Food came out in a timely manner and was delicious as always. I recommend the spicy potatoes, scallops, and dates wrapped in bacon. The red sangria is a must and isn't too sweet.
