There were a lot of tables with children. Some were fighting with adults clanging the silverware together.
I made a reservation for 2 and when I arrived my friend was already there so I could not ask for a different table. Our table was against a wall and in a walkway. Everytime our waitress passed behind my chair she had to push me in more to get by. I am trying to eat. I don’t need the waitstaff bumping me.
When I make a reservation I expect to be given the best available table not the worst.
The food was good but there are places with much better food.

I wanted to treat my granddaughter to a special breakfast before she returned home. I had just had surgery and she had come to help me. So, I thought brunch at Cafe B would be perfect. After all, it's a Brennan restaurant. What could be better? Right?
Well, they sat us in a corner, it wasn't the least bit crowded and I had a reservation just in case. But, okay. We did want to talk.
My appetite was still a bit down so I just ordered a pancake and eggs. Imagine my surprise when I got a pancake with burned greasy meat bits all over and stinking to high heaven. It had been cooked on an uncleaned grill! Uncleaned from the night before! How could the lady who delivered it not have noticed!?? She actually expected me to eat it!?!
I sent it back and this time it came out even worse. Can you believe! Same grill, burned, stinking and RAW. They hadn't even considered cleaning up the grill. Just slapped some more pancake mix on the same too hot, filthy grill! I was to eat that???? What other equipment wasn't cleaned???? I sent it back. How could you even deliver that to the table??
The Manager came out and said that they were cleaning the equipment (you think!) and they would give me some biscuits. Really.
We causciously ate some of the rest of our breakfast, paid and left. Praying we wouldn't be ill. I apologized to my granddaughter and promised to never go back again. She was horrified!!
So, no. I will not be going back. Or recommending it. Please check your food carefully.
Hopefully, the Chef was notified and will make sure that the kitchen is CLEANED before anyone goes home.

I love cafe b usually. Brought my friends here to impress and everyone was disappointed. We had the filet mignon and they were overcooked and tasteless. Best thing was the onion ring appetizer.

Cafe B is one of our favorite restaurants in the greater New Orleans area. The food is wonderful, cocktails and wine selection is great, and the service is top notch.

Excellent smoked salmon appetizer, served brochetta style with arugula. Turtle soup was not the traditional New Orleans style and would not order it again. It needed to be heated more, although it was served in a handsome cast iron and enamel crock. The filet mignon was delivered well done instead of medium, but calling it to the waiter, it was removed and a second steak was delivered perfectly cooked. The maître 'd later visited the table, showing a real interest in customer service. It was a birthday visit and overall a lovely evening.

We preferred the four top table in the center of the main dining room facing the windows for future visits. We preferred it to the oyster room. My cauliflower soup was mushy and mediocre.

The special soup (oyster Rockefeller) did not have any oyster in it or if there were, they were very small bits and it was very salty. The other meal that was served was cold. It was poached eggs with hollendaise sauce on focaccia bread that was3 inches thick. Very unappealing and grotesque instead of delicate and lovely like you would expect such a dish to be presented. Dud I mention it was cold?

Such a great find. I was looking for a restaurant as I was leaving the airport. The food is great, all the waitstaff are so knowledgeable and will recommend things you never thought to try. I had oysters for the first time based on a recommendation and they were delicious!

I had the grilled artichoke dip (loved the bread with it) and the sautéed black drum topped with shrimp bordelaise (AMAZING). The lemon butter on the fish with shrimp, crispy Brabant potatoes, and garlic sautéed kale was the best lunch I have had in a long time. It was light but filling and I had some leftover fish to bring home. It was a birthday lunch my coworkers treated me to and the hostess gifted me a $25 gift card for future meals there and Lemon Doberge dessert that was delicious.

First visit to this very lovely restaurant on Metairie Road. Our servers, Gabby and Sara, were two lovely young ladies who saw to our every need. Food was delicious - flash fried oysters, fried eggplant sticks, grilled romaine/crab salad, butternut squash soup (excellent!) and shrimp remoulade. Dessert of 1/2 lemon and 1/2 chocolate doberge was superb. All in all a lovely evening in a restaurant I would highly recommend
