Great good good staff
Great food and music. Great for meat eaters. Owner is usually there and great guy. Usually loud. Fun too.
I loved it and it was the perfect place to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I will definitely comeback to Cafe Argentino!!
The staff was very warm and welcoming, our server Oscar was excellent. The food was phenomenal! Check out the champagne sangria!!
I'll be back soon!
Nice place to enjoy good music and real Argentine food, live music on Sunday afternoon, so if you want a quiet dinner go on Saturday, the service is excellent!
My niece's college graduation. Family in from Chicago and PA. Pefect setting for a perfect celebration. Oscar, our server was amazing and the food was spot on. Thank you all so much for our fun family gathering.
We warmly greeted at the door and assured the table would be ready soon for a Mother's Day dinner for 12 people. The service was great all around and the food was very good. Even my family who is very resistant to trying new restaurants loved the food and wants to go back.
My only complaint is that the food took about an hour to come out and it wasn't all that busy at the time. The restaurant might just have a small kitchen. They totally redeemed themselves for the lateness with the great tasting food and round of beers and wine on the house at the end of the meal.
The staff was very attentive and the food was very delicious. The menu had a little of everything for everyone in our group...and their sangria was AMAZING! Was so nice that I went back the next day for brunch with my husband. Definitely recommend it.
Friendly and convenient place for good steak at a reasonable price. Setting was nice and with friendly staff. It was a great place to unwind after a busy week. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the place is well appointed.
Great food, great service! The meat platter was over the top! Salads and other dishes we're phenomenal!
Great service and great food. We wanted a restaurant for 8 people that offered a variety. The options are plentiful. ..meat, seafood, pasta, and salad. Something for everyone.
The restaurant looks very simple but the food was outstanding. I had the Filet Mignon and it was one of the best I've ever had. The Chorizio appetizer was also excellent and the wine, recommended by our waiter, was very good. He was also extremely accommodating for my gluten and dairy allergy and I had a wonderful meal! We are definitely going back!
My daughter and I chose this for a late (10pm) dinner before going to a local bar. The food was awesome, authentic Argentinian fare. A very nice ribeye steak for me, chicken with a light gravy and mushrooms for my daughter, and I also had morcilla (blood sausage). The service was wonderful, attentive, friendly, well paced. The person who took our order answered our questions knowledgably before we ordered, and showed a real passion and pride for the food. There was a family from the neighborhood seated next to us, and the atmosphere was casual and homey. It's a smallish place, with a nice little bar in a very pleasant neighborhood in Williamsburg. As I mentioned, we went initially because of its proximity to another bar, but we would go back again just to enjoy it on its own merits; a true "find".
I am from Buenos Aires, and I can say that this restaurant has very good, authentic, reasonably priced Argentinian food and wine. Their $25 prix fixe dinner is a great value. I've been there before, and definitely going back. They have a milonga once a week.
Great place! Meat is excellent so as the Wine! My favorite place !
Cafe Argentino was a great place for a casual get together for a group dinner.
Order two steaks mid rare. One was well done and one was raw. We left.
What makes this place stand out is the food, particularly compared to the price. It is one of the tastiest restaurants I have been to in the area, no doubt, and the steaks will keep me coming back.
In regards to what I thought could be improved: add more wines to the menu! The wine I had was indeed delicious, but it was one of about 4 options total they had by the bottle. Add a slightly more high end option for those picky drinkers to go with your amazing and underrated steaks and you won't regret it.
Service was above average - only wish was a little more attentiveness to when the wine glasses were empty, but only because I couldn't be spared the time from stuffing my face with delicious steak to fill my glass on my own!
Café Argentino has all the hallmarks of a small family run restaurant. it's friendly, but very casual, and maybe a little ramshackle, but the food is solid with good portions. There's nothing fancy or gourmet, but a nice place to hang.
Food was great wait time was horrible book a 5:30 didn't get seated till 6:00 other then that it was a great experience
