Cafe Antonio Ratings and Reviews
This place is consistently good. From their standard menu and daily specials everything is top notch. They had a person playing the harp for background music which was a nice touch. I had the rigatoni bolognese which is exceptional - with the rigatoni being home made. My wife had the prime rib special which was a good sized portion and cooked to perfection. We dine here frequently and are never disappointed.
Cafe Antonio is a good spot in the heart of Morrisville. A friendly atmosphere, with good food and attentive service, we always enjoy coming here. When originally opened, was a BYOB but now has full service available. They still allow BYO, but I have to say, their wine bottle prices are extremely reasonable.
We have never been disappointed at Cafe Antonio. In fact, each meal has always been freshly prepared and the individual attention we get from the Chef/Owner is amazing. He knows what is diners expect and delivers. We go often to Cafe Antonio and always recommend it to others.
We eat at Cafe Antonio several times a year
This time we were dining with two other couples. The food is always excellent but we were so dissapointed with the service. It seemed obvious they were short handed but our waitress at times was no where to be found. Water was NEVER refilled. TOOK forever to get more drinks. Friends had beers and more were brought by another server BUT they did not even ask first if we they wanted a different type. When waitress did come to table she was there less then 1 minute. Owners wife was sitting at a table dining too. 3 hours is TOO long for dining. Will think twice before going back.
Pleasantly surprised about full newly added full bar. Air conditioning was directly over our table so we were uncomfortable ly cold. Our server was overly concerned with serving a large group and we seemed to be an afterthought though he was accommodating whenever we asked for specifics like fresh ground pepper or more water. Having to ask was annoying. Overall experience was good. We've always liked food so we'll go back.
We recently had our anniversary dinner at Cafe Antonio and we were so pleased. My husband and I had the Veal Antonio and it was absolutely delicious. They give you a lot of food (I'm eating my leftovers for dinner tonight) and it's very flavorful. The Hostess and the Wait Staff are very pleasant and accommodating . For dessert, we shared a Strawberry Crepe - omg, it was so good. We'll definitely be going back to Cafe Antonio very soon.
I have to say everything was perfect today! The service was exemplary and the food was outstanding. The interior is beautiful. Highly recommend mussels fra diavolo appetizer and the lobster ravioli! Note: they have obtained a liquor license and now serve alcohol.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate our daughters' birthdays and to take them to some of the local areas historical points of interest. We found the restaurant on the internet and chose it because of the menu and the positive reviews that were posted. We were not disappointed in this choice and were extremely pleased with the food, service and ambiance of this establishment. The only criticism we had was with the parking situation. This venue has limited parking space, although they do have complimentary parking in the evening for dinner. In fairness to the restaurant, we arrived at 5:00 pm for an early dinner and there was a special party with a large group that was just finishing up, so the lot was packed. However, the experience was worth it.
Food was amazing. Veal Antonio was prepared to perfection. Chicken Milano was one of best chicken dishes tasted at any Cafe Antonio style resturant. Home made pasta is the perfect addition to all dishes. Staff was attentive. Valet parking a plus. High valve for quality of food.
We really missed the bread we had on our last visit with the oil dipping which were like little pizza ...it was a nice addition to the our meal.
The service was not up to par for the price point?
My husband didn't have a set up and we asked for it when we ordered our meal, but instead of bringing him his silverware and napkin first the server brings our salad and then we had to wait a few minutes before he brought his silverware to start with our salad ? Also, the salad had way too much dressing on it!
My husbands ribeye was just ok...there was skin that was not
trimmed off the meat. My crab cakes were very good but very
small and I didn't see any sun dried tomato or I really didn't get the cream sauce in my risotto as described on the menu. All in
all the experience was good. We will go back but maybe stick to the pasta dishes which we had before and really enjoyed!!
The food is excellent. It keeps us coming back in spite of the fact that noise level is unbearable. We bring friends to enjoy a good meal and then simply can't hear the conversation. Need to deal with acoustics! We want to support the restaurant, always friendly and welcoming, but will find another place to bring our friends if the noise level isn't addressed.
