Cafe Antonio Ratings and Reviews
We went to this restaurant to celebrate our daughters' birthdays and to take them to some of the local areas historical points of interest. We found the restaurant on the internet and chose it because of the menu and the positive reviews that were posted. We were not disappointed in this choice and were extremely pleased with the food, service and ambiance of this establishment. The only criticism we had was with the parking situation. This venue has limited parking space, although they do have complimentary parking in the evening for dinner. In fairness to the restaurant, we arrived at 5:00 pm for an early dinner and there was a special party with a large group that was just finishing up, so the lot was packed. However, the experience was worth it.
Food was amazing. Veal Antonio was prepared to perfection. Chicken Milano was one of best chicken dishes tasted at any Cafe Antonio style resturant. Home made pasta is the perfect addition to all dishes. Staff was attentive. Valet parking a plus. High valve for quality of food.
We really missed the bread we had on our last visit with the oil dipping which were like little pizza ...it was a nice addition to the our meal.
The service was not up to par for the price point?
My husband didn't have a set up and we asked for it when we ordered our meal, but instead of bringing him his silverware and napkin first the server brings our salad and then we had to wait a few minutes before he brought his silverware to start with our salad ? Also, the salad had way too much dressing on it!
My husbands ribeye was just ok...there was skin that was not
trimmed off the meat. My crab cakes were very good but very
small and I didn't see any sun dried tomato or I really didn't get the cream sauce in my risotto as described on the menu. All in
all the experience was good. We will go back but maybe stick to the pasta dishes which we had before and really enjoyed!!
The food is excellent. It keeps us coming back in spite of the fact that noise level is unbearable. We bring friends to enjoy a good meal and then simply can't hear the conversation. Need to deal with acoustics! We want to support the restaurant, always friendly and welcoming, but will find another place to bring our friends if the noise level isn't addressed.
We recently visited Cafe Antonio for dinner. We come quite often and are never disappointed. Their specials are always creative and delicious. Seafood to pasta to veal, always fresh and made to your liking. Wait staff and management are always on their toes and are very attentive and frirendly. Always a great experience and would recommend that if you haven't tried it, you should. I assure you, you will be delighted!
The food is always good, but the service was so bad, it spoiled the evening. The restaurant wasn't busy, which is uncommon, but if the service has been this way, it's understandable. We sat over 20 minutes before her took our order. Dinner was good, but getting someone to refill water was a challenge. The waiter dropped off the dessert menu and after 15+ minutes, we finally were able to flag someone down to get him for the check. When we didn't order dessert, he even asked if it was because he took so long. We said yes. He apologized, but at that point, the only right answer was to comp something. The valet was gone when we left, and we had to search for the hostess to leave! What's happening at the Cafe?
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience. This was our second visit. Our first one was not bad at all. The service was good and the food was tasty. That is why we decided to try Café Antonio again.
We had to wait 15 minutes for our waiter to appear. We had an early reservation, so the restaurant was not very crowded. Then, our food was not good either. The clams casino was ok but not very good. We received 2 medium size clams and 4 tiny ones. We both got veal dishes and the veal was not very tender.
Needless to say, we will have to cross this off our list.
My boyfriend and I went for Valentine's dinner. It was so nice and they even had a special menu for Valentine's Day which had a variety of options and specials. My boyfriend and I both loved our dishes and we got chocolates and a rose at the end. It was lovely!
This our third or fourth time dining at Café Antonio and we were not disappointed. It's a great value for the amount of food and everything we have tried was delicious - especially for the crepes which we would not have tried if it wasn't for our server's recommendation. Diego has been our server the last two times. He is friendly and courteous and goes above and beyond in his customer service.
