Wonderful night! Had a great night out with the family. Our waitress Kristen was spectacular, answered all my mother's questions about the menu and was so attentive. The food was amazing, mussels, pork chops, steak, fish..we tried it all. The highlight was the pistachio cake..sheer heaven! We can't wait to return!!

While we don't live in Beacon, we visit quite often. Whenever we do, Cafe Amarcord is a MUST. Hands down, it is our very favorite restaurant in town. The food is consistently amazing; the staff friendly and responsive; and the ambience very comfortable. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a fine meal.

We were in town for our anniversary and had an absolutely wonderful dinner and evening at Amarcord! The atmosphere is warm and cozy and we had a lovely corner table. Our server was professional, knowledgeable and attentive and the owner, Monica, was just delightful. Although there were several very enticing specials that night, my husband and I ordered off of the menu and shared the arugula salad (plenty for 2!) and, for our entrees, he had the pappardelle and sausage and I had the tagliatelle with short ribs. Both dishes were outstanding! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauces were delicious! Not your average Italian restaurant by any stretch of the imagination! They even had the wine that we had on our honeymoon in Florence, Italy 14 years ago. Fate you say? To complete the memorable evening, we enjoyed the most delicious profiteroles we have ever had! We highly recommend Amarcord and can't wait to return some day! Thank you, Monica, for a most wonderful evening!

Sammy, my waiter gave outstanding service. The only quirk particular to this restaurant was it’s practice of presenting the drinks menu before the dinner menu. Present them together at the same time and ask the guest if they want to order a cocktail before dinner.

The food, the service, the atmosphere is superb. The best food I've eaten in the area. It's pricey so we save it for special occasions but I would consider it also when you feel special and want to treat yourself and loved ones well. The food is very fresh, presentation impressive, and unusual.

I met a friend for a holiday lunch. The service was attentive, speedy and caring. Our server suggested the pasta special and the cheese cake for dessert. We went with her suggestions and were beyond pleased and grateful. The restaurant is well-kept and it has a very relaxing feel. Have been a few times, even for take out … does not disappoint!

My husband’s food was good. He ordered the mussels and the steak. Loved both. I ordered a tuna sushi grade appetizer and red snapper. Both were specials. The tuna was a bit fishy smelling and the snapper was at best average, nothing special. The dessert was good.

Update: I originally gave this place 2 stars but have changed it to 3 bc the restaurant promptly called & apologized. ———— They were really overwhelmed since there was an event in town, but the food took over an hour, and when I mentioned to the waitress that I was confused why one appetizer, one salad, and a pasta with no meat was taking that long, she kind of went off on me, and passive-aggressively complained about us to the couple beside us. When the food came, I was floored by how bad it was. I ended up having a stomachache from it. Everyone is entitled to have a bad day, and I know everywhere is understaffed, and it’s hard to keep local businesses going, but what they served as a basic pasta dish was so bad, that they really shouldn’t take that many reservations if they can’t serve a basic decent meal.

Food and service superb. Food was fantastic. I have the filet mignon with peppercorn, brandy sauce and appetizer portion of pasta carbonara. Delicious and beautifully presented. Our server was great. Attentive, know the menu inside and out and gave us suggestions based on our interests. Proprietor and hostess checked in more than once. I’ve been here before and Amacord has never disappointed me

My new favorite restaurant! From the arugula salad to the seared tuna and braised rabbit entrees, it was full of flavor. The wine selection was very good and the pistachio cake very good. The service was delightful with the two young female servers being very attentive! Can’t wait to go back!
