Was looking for a good seafood restaurant on the beach. We found it! A bit dated decor and had to look at the kids swimming in the pool too, but the food was superb as was the service. A bit pricey IMO, but it's in a hotel. Would I go back here? Maybe.
Zeroes. Made a reservation via Open Table. Called to get more information. No one answered and after 12 rings the phone hung up on us like it was disconnected. We arrived for our reservation to find an empty restaurant, an empty hostess/reception station, and no other staff in the area cared. Shame on you, Hilton! Such a fraud…and then they awarded us Open Table Points for dining with them—which we didn’t cause we couldn’t. A fraud: put a recording on your phone at least with your status especially during short staffing times—seriously, that would require no effort at all. We dined elsewhere for $90.
George, our waiter, was more than exceptional and attentive in every detail. Most impressive!
Good food and service. Overpriced
The food here is absolutely delicious. I just wish they would offer bread before the meal and they used to give you a amazing Ceasar salad but they don't anymore you have to pay for it. It's a little pricey for just a entrée..
We searched for fine dining near Marriott Resort and we found Amalfi. Great ocean view!! Good service awesome food but rather expensive compared to other area places but then we did have an ocean front view! Shrimp appetizer was a must have choice as we ordered a second one. Considering how few people we did expect faster food service but will return again!
Some of the seating is near an open kitchen with all the distractions to go with that. The menu is fairly limited and fairly expensive. My dining partner ordered his pork medium and it came out well done. I ordered scallops which were too salty to eat. They did correct the dishes. I had a Caesar salad that was uninspired and small. I didn’t feel that the food quality was consistent with the price.
The location was perfect. However the carpet on the floor was discussing - my shoes stuck to the floor. The appetizer was good, but consisted of two small slices of bread and 4 shrimp. I had the cod, which was good, but the entre my friend had tasted liked a boxed macaroni and cheese.
There definitely needs to be more vegetarian options to justify the high price point of this restaurant. There is not much in the area within the resort, so having an inclusive menu is definitely necessary. Some candles and bread for the table would also really add to the restaurant and the feel of the experience of Amalfi.
We went for my husband’s birthday. We had a beautiful window seat overlooking the ocean. As usual, we requested George as our server. We love him! The food was delicious. George brought us a delicious dessert with a sparkler to celebrate. We will return soon. Thank you💕
The food and service were amazing! The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the “cafeteria” like dining room. It lacks any sense of privacy if you’re on a date or want to have a private conversation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, as well as the view from our table.
Excellent experience as always. Donna our host welcomed us with open arms. We celebrated our son’s birthday and the staffed greeted him which made his excited. Food was great and staff was amazing.
Great experience. Our server, George, was amazing. Donna also was fantastic! We will have dinner here again tomorrow because of Donna’s exceptional service!
Love this place! Great view of the ocean! Friendly staff! Great food! Good selection!
Very good nicely presented food. Very good attentive service. Although very good food, Cafe Amalfi has limited menu options and at least now in summer of 2021 appears understaffed. The staff does very well under the circumstances.
Our gentleman waiter was great! Food was wonderful! View was beautiful! Will visit again!
As always, pleasant surroundings, great views, good food and fantastic service by George!! Felt very comfortable eating there even during these Covid times because of PPE measures taken by staff.
Thought the price was a little steep--especially since they are no longer serving bread with before dinner cocktail! Bonefish Grill in North Myrtle still serves bread with cocktail. And although not quite the same ambiance, the food was good but the $$$a little less.
Service was stellar. Could not have been happier with our lovely waitress.
We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach and were staying at the Hilton. We got back late at night and decided to stay in the hotel to eat. The service was phenomenal and the food was excellent. The waiter was so good at his job. He made great suggestions for the meal and everyone was spot on. You could tell he enjoyed working with the customers and had a large knowledgeable base about the food that was being served. All of that made for a very delicious evening.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and needless to say, I was very disappointed in this visit. The quality of the food is dramatically different than what it was. It is in no way worth the money. It is the quality of what you would expect at a casual dining restaurant such as Applebee's for double the cost. There are no table cloths, no bread, and some of the staff members were wearing the same uniform as the outside pool bar staff (and no, they were not working a double or covering for someone). The wait staff (George) was amazing as always, but to make the whole experience the food has to match. I hope there will be an improvement before my next visit.
Loved our waiter George. We always request him. We eat here ever year around July 4th. He always makes great suggestions. Our only disappoint was they didn't have the great bread that they always have. They didn't serve bread at all.
We are at restaurants over 100 times per year up and down the east coast. This restaurant has totally exceeded our expectations
Couple that with a beautiful view of the ocean makes this a place you want to add to your dining list
The food was decent though it was not worth $45-49 for a main course. We waited for 40 plus minutes for our server to come to take our drink Oder while only a few tables (not even a half of the floor was occupied) were used. I even put a note saying it was my husband’s birthday but nobody came to discuss that. I didn’t bother mentioning it since the whole thing was rather let down. It is so much for a restaurant at Hilton.
Casual beachy vibe. We had a window table with a beautiful view of the water...highly recommend asking for window view table. Food was good and hot and server was very friendly overall great night.
Service was very good and the view was amazing. However the quality of food for the price was way off. Shrimp bruschetta was small and didn’t was not very good, the sirloin was over cooked and just not a great cut of meat.
I would go back go back for the view and the service, but not for the food.
Our waiter was great! Not his fault the chef wouldn’t/couldn’t accommodate a vegetarian request. We thought a Hilton property would be better about that. Our food was good, they just need more options. Wouldn’t even bring us bread, only crackers.
The view and atmosphere are good.
Food was very good just pricey, also very hard to get in contact with the restaurant as we tried multiple times.
Excellent service by George.
Great view, great service, decent food. Not a romantic, special occasion place but I'd still go back.
Limited menu. Lunch cafe style dining in hotel restaurant. No table cloths or charm. Seafood over cooked and Cesar salads were very basic.
Not what we were expecting from the photo on open table. It was indoors, upstairson 2nd floor of the hotel, no outdoor seating, basic cafeteria style setting and tables. Was not par with its name. The food was fine, but it was like quality of a place like TGI Fridays or casual bar food dining. The by the glass champagne (Proseco) was not good. Only choice. We drove out of our way to go because it looked like a nice elegant, upscale restaurant on the water with outdoor dining and a view of the water. It is inside a big hotel on the beach. We were the ONLY ones in the restaurant at the time.
A perfect choice for Our first night of vacation with friends. Great food and beautiful view!!
We had such a delicious meal at Cafe Almafi. The grouper dish was amazing! Our server George was so attentive and a fun. It turned out to be the best meal we had the entire 4 days we were here!
Good food and super nice folks working here!
Not a place one could eat at weekly, prices are rather steep. Considering price, everything is top notch. Food is excellent, presentation is very good. Great place for special occasions
Bad French fries.
Loved it - staff excellent and food was spot on.
We were lucky and it was not to busy and enjoyed a great view over the sea.
Been there a few times . This time it was a limited menu, but soon will going back to regular menu.
Other than them not respecting a window table reservation many days in advance, the server made up for it.
