We love George and he never disappoints! It was a great evening but the "meatloaf " was not very good.
Food and service was great!
Get away connected to a conference. Good food. Great wine.
Great food. I had scallops over risotto. It was phenomenal
The best thing about this Resturant is the view. The service is attentive and very helpful, from parking the attendants to the waitstaff! The food was hot and served quickly, but the flavor was average. The feel of the Resturant is hotel, not a special place. For the price the experience is nothing special.
Donna gave a a beautiful table with an ocean view and George took good care of us!
Food was tasty. I wish the scallops had been planted differently....they were just sort of plopped on top of the dish. Wait staff was very friendly and the view was amazing!
The worst experience in 20 years. EMPTY!. Dining room Saturday night at 8:30pm. Poor service , no training, no hospitality! The food “should” have been good !
HORRIBLE !! we ordered appetizers, came
Out incorrect. We ordered three (3) entrees and not ONE (1) was edible. Crab cakes were a salt pile ! The risotto was “mush” very poorly prepared ! Three entrees and the three of us had maybe 6 bites and paid and left ! This place needs management, training and maybe more then I can name. Extremely disappointed!
It was known ! Not a manager in sight to correct, or apologize.
They must give staff the tools to be successful !
Best view and ambiance. Love this place. Tried a burger for the 1st time. It ranks as one of the best burgers I ever had! George was awesome as usual. Thank you!
Whether you are staying at the Royal Palms Hilton or not, definitely go to Cafe Amalfi for a very special dinner. Food is great, prices are reasonable and if you are lucky you will get George as your waiter. We took friends who were celebrating both an anniversary and a birthday. Amalfi does birthdays right...a sparkler on a small cake. We had a great time & highly recommend this restaurant!
We had dined at Cafe Amalfi over the winter and it was great so we gave it a try again this summer. The food was overpriced for what you get. My daughter ordered the scallops for $30 and she got 5 dime size scallops covered in garlic which was almost uneatable. My other daughter ordered the seafood pasta for $28. The seafood was over cooked and laid over maybe 1/4 cup of dry pasta. We had to ask to get more water for the table numerous times and my daughter had an empty soda glass all night. Food was terrible service was awful and they just lost a returning customer.
This restaurant was recommended by our resort. The restaurant was right on the ocean but the atmosphere was loud and not relaxing. A DJ below was playing loud music and people screaming and jumping in the pool below. Our food was mediocre at best for the high price. I had salmon and my husband had a filet. We let the hostess and I believe the owner know we were disappointed. They didn’t really seem to care
Eh. The search for a halfway decent restaurant in Myrtle Beach continues. This isn’t it. Just hotel food in a nice room with a nice view. But don’t get your hope up too high.
Very beautiful venue. Had a great time. Delicious food!
We have been vacationing in Myrtle Beach for many years, but this was our first visit to Cafe Amalfi. My wife and daughter are gluten free and both loved their meals (lentil meatloaf and salmon). We knew had chosen a good place when they bought out gluten free dinner rolls. That’s so rare at most restaurants.
I had the roasted half chicken which was delicious and my nephew had the filet mignon, which he enjoyed. The best thing for me though was the seafood chowder. One of the best chowders I’ve ever had. And it was a very large bowl.
The waiter (George) was really good... very attentive and patient. We sat at a wonderful table next to the window. The view of the beach and ocean was fantastic. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent, food, service and view. We have been there many times and they continue to excel.
My husband and I celebrated our 43rd anniversary at Cafe Amalfi. Our server was excellent, right on time with all the courses. The food was beautifully presented. (I had the Mahi-Mahi on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus. My husband had salmon with carrots and asparagus.) We each had salads that came with our entrees and a basket of delicious bread was served with them. Everything was very tasty. This is a small restaurant with a lovely view of the ocean, but we did not get one of those tables and were a little close to a table with a large family, but it was okay. The only drawback was that it was very difficult to find and although we left in plenty of time, we had a hard time getting there and were late for our reservation. This restaurant has a somewhat limited menu and it is a little pricey, but it was great for a special night out.
Food was properly prepared and presented. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
One of the best ocean views at the beach.
Everything was wonderful our waiter was a fantastic older gentleman. Our only complaint was all of our table of 5 had the same comment that the food was to salted there was no need to use so much salt especially on the spinach we have eaten here before and did not have the same issue. We laughed and thought maybe the chef likes salt on his food. Aside from this we all agree 5stars!!!!!
As always, good was great and service was phenomenal. George is the best!!!
Friendly & professional service delicious entrees. We went to Cafe Amalfi for our anniversary. We ordered the filet & lentil loaf, both were great & the waiter, Georgie, surprised us at the end of dinner with a large slice of vanilla cake with cream cheese filling & a chocolate flourless torte topped with a sparkler❤️
The staff are nice. The food is great. If you're from the big city, please know the food is being cooked by the plate so definitely order an appetizer and drink. Overall, best dinner in Myrtle Beach SC for our stay.
The food was absolutely delicious and the view can’t be beat.
The food was outstanding and our waitress was excellent. The view is breathtaking.
Anniversary dinner and they made it special. Waiting for us with a special table set up and
Another great dinner and view. Even had a spectacular storm show while we ate. Great as always. Have not had a bad item off the menu.
We had George as our server. He was excellent 👍. Happy he loves his job. We have been here twice and both times we had George. Pure pleasure. Place is dated but the view is excellent. Food was good.
Food was decent. Our server was friendly but not attentive.
Father’s Day dinner was perfect. Great food, great service from George and the best views at the beach.
Lilly was a great waitress.
Service was good, food was fair.view of water was nice. Not a big selection.
Horrible service. Bad food
Every year when we are at the beach we dine at Cafe Almalfi! The staff is very hospitable and the food is delicious. Some of the staff has been there for 25 years plus. Far better than what you have come to expect from hotel restaurants and the view is amazing!
View is to die for how can you beat ocean front. Rose wine not good. Fried green tomatoes appetizer good. Crab in the flounder was tasty but flounder very dry. Dish needed a sauce. Husband enjoyed his prime rib. And chocolate Cale and coconut cake was good. We saw they have a Tiki bar on beach that we would love to try.
Evening was perfect. The ocean view. The delicious food. Our waiter, George made the evening so special. We made a reservation before we even left, to return on the weekend.
The food and atmosphere were excellent. The only complaint was that a couple came in (May have been drunk) and fussed for a long time until they could get a window table. We had to listen to the female complain throughout our meal. I believe the management should have asked them to leave instead of letting them there to complain and bother us while we were trying to enjoy our meal.
Food was very GOOD!!! Great view of the ocean. Not a lot of things to choose from on the menu but everything looked very good. Would definitely dine there again!!!
My birthday dinner. The most beautiful view in Myrtle Beach combined with expertly prepared food and the best service. A must go to for locals and a visit to the beach!
We received a pleasant and warm greeting from the hostess, on entry and were escorted to our table, overlooking the scenic Atlantic Ocean. We dined on several dishes, Vegetable Primavera with optional Shrimp, Filets of beef and Bone in Ribeyes, along with various vegetable dishes. All dishes were well prepared as requested and served by our server, Jenny, who was very pleasant and accommodating.
The time between ordering and receiving our food was long.
A hidden gem in Myrtle Beach. The food was so great the first time that we've been back 4 times in a month
