We had dinner at Cafe Altro Paradiso last night and it was outstanding. The service was excellent, the staff friendly, and the food wonderful. The place was packed, and the noise level could, at times, be a little overwhelming, but all of us thought it was great and intend to go there the next time we're in town.
We went for lunch and it was not noisy, it is hard to find a restaurant where one could have a conversation these days. I hope dinner is the same.

This restaurant was absolutely incredible. We ordered the Carpaccio, which was a revelation, and the Duck Ragu Lasagnette. It was so incredible, we ordered the chef's cookbook on the spot. The Sommelier absolutely nailed the recommendation, matching it perfectly with our meal and spot on the budget mark we suggested. Our server was brilliant, and highly knowledgeable of the menu.
She had obviously tried all of the offerings and gave her opinions when asked in a very helpful way. We will be back.

We came here for a celebratory dinner on Christmas Eve. Service was nice but not attentive and did not show interest. Food was average but lacks finesse. Perhaps they are better for business meetings.

We had a really nice dinner at Cafe Altro Paradiso. We are really big fans of Estela so decided to give it’s sister restaurant a shot. We were able to get a reservation last min, and we were seated right away upon arrival. The beef tartar was super tasty with an unusual presentation. Arancini was tasty with a spicy bite. The star was the two person Porkchop entree, which was well seasoned, and incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. The side salad was a nice acidic bite of bitter greens. Similarly priced to the other farm to table new American style restaurants around. Overall a good edition to the neighborhood.

This restaurant's food is excellent. The pasta (and the gluten free pasta) was superb, as was an antipasto and a octopus appetizer. The the service is also well above average.
The food—when it finally came—as good as usual, but the service not the best. I'll give the benefit of the doubt since it was (relatively) busy because of the holidays.
FANTASTIC!!! The food is flawless (even after they took their best dish off the menu -octopus with chickpeas-why?!?! if ain't broken..)
Everything else was delicious, as usual...the staff is always the best, the drinks, the ambiance.
This is our favorite restaurant.
We got a choice between a very noisy table or one right near the cash register. We chose the cash register, but it did feel a little traffic-y. The room is very pretty, but noisy. The food was all tasty but seemed a big soggy. The strozzapreti were too long to be eaten easily (they flopped around when you forked them), and they were floppy because they were beyond al dente. The sauce was tasty but too salty, and there was too much of it. The arancini also were tasty but the filling was too wet. The tagliolini with Meyer lemon were deliciously flavored, but the pasta was beyond al dente there too. Again, all very good flavors, textures not quite right. The biscotti were particularly delicious though. All in all a very attractive room, but if it is that noisy when it is only half full, I wonder about when it is busy
So appreciated and rare to find a restaurant where the food is fabulous and you can actually have a conversation with your tablemates and not have to shout at them.

Decent ambience, good service. The appetizers and salad were really spectacular. Main dishes were creative and compelling but a bit on the salty side for my taste.
The restaurant is beautiful. We were warmly greeted by the lovely hostess. We were seated ...and then thoughtfully reseated when an even quieter table opened up. The service was perfect. The food would have been as stellar as everything else if the chef had used less salt. I am a salter, but when I am crunching on salt crystals with every bite, I think the chef is too heavy handed. We’ve eaten here a number of times and have always dined well. The other night was our first experience with extreme salt.
Attentive, professional service. Appetizers and pasta were great: carpaccio and endive salad delicious, Amatriciana was tasty and porky, but it could have been spicier. Mains were only good. A very thick pork chop could have used a more thorough, patient cooking. Tilefish was tasty, but overall uninspiring. Side of greens was tasty but very small.

The only word for Café Altro Paradiso is divine. The fennel salad was sublime, as expected. The tuna tartare was great and the octopus appetizer was exceptional. Super friendly no-attitude place. Dessert of the day - quince tart - delicious. I would eat one meal a day here at least if I could organize to do that!
It was a little strange for two reasons. Although the food and service were truly outstanding, a wine was served that should have been aged more before opening it. Although not bad, it was too tannic. I did not send it back, because it was not bad. It was just too young. It should not have been offered as a menu choice.
The second strange thing was that the tables are very close together, and so it became uncomfortable when a couple was seated next to us (we were on dessert, thankfully) and proceeded to engage in prolonged kissing and fondling. We couldn’t believe it, and wondered what management would do. The answer was that they did nothing. Rather than have coffee and an after dinner drink, we chose to leave instead.
Love the place & the service. My wine (an Italian white) was kind of cloudy and not very good. My food - a sort of quiche - was cold & then taken away for a warm up, but still returned quite cold (and not room temp, as advertised). The service was excellent and very concerned about our well being, so I didn’t want to send it back a second time - after all, you want to eat w yr friend!
All in all a nice experience, I’d go back in spite of these little snafus.

Amazing endive salad, tartare and panna cotta.
It was a pleasure dining in a stylish restaurant with outstanding service and food. Our party was treated warmly and attended throughout the meal with appreciation. Water glasses were kept full and refills of the delicious crusty bread were offered before we could ask for more. We shared the Dorado and steak Florentine. Both were heavenly and done to perfection. We shared 2 pastas, which were each delightful. The meal ended with the profiteroles. The pastry of the profiterole itself was one of the best that I have had anywhere. The consistency was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The cacio e pepe was incredibly salty and subpar compared to my first experience of the restaurant last year. Its clearly and sadly a downhill experience for me.
My mom took me out to lunch and we loved the charcuterie board!
