We like to go out to breakfast but your options aren't what we are looking for. We like tradition breakfast and it is hard to fine. Eggs , bacon, and toast or Oatmeal.
Small portions. Food burned on the bottom. Slow service
First time at the 501 but will not be my last. Thanks for a great experience.
Great Food! Drinks were a little slow, but overall good experience!
Tuscan Chicken was fabulous as well as the expertly created Tropical Mule!
Took 15 minutes after being seated to be noticed and offered drinks, and that was after having to ( with a polite wave ) flag a server down.
After that, things got rolling and everything was pretty good.
We were there for the anniversary dinner and it was delicious (as it always is) The service was excellent! We left very full and satisfied.
Still a very good menu and an all around top choice to eat a high quality meal in a relaxing atmosphere.
Excellent food and reasonably price.
Menu is limited on Sunday mornings but still wonderful.
This was my first time dining at this restaurant. My daughter and her friend frequently dine here and recommended it and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was very well seasoned and I asked for a little different plating and they gladly served my chicken how I requested. Prices are very reasonable for a really nice restaurant & I would definitely return.
Social distancing. Wearing masks. Great food and service.
Waitress was very attentive, food was delicious!!!
Café 501 was observing current Covid rules. We still had a nice lunch. I had the Mediterranean bowl which was very tasty.
We love Cafe 501! I was able to get a Coyote salad for brunch which I just love.
We ate outside and it was really pleasant - good service, Cafe 501 is always great and on cooler days, the patio is a nice option.
Food was blah and server was very unenthusiastic and attentive as well.
Had a noon reservation for 2 for lunch. Had an appointment elsewhere at 1:15. Arrived and waited for a hostess. No one came. Finally walked over to a staff member cleaning tables and stated I had a reservation. She said it would be a minute and went back to cleaning tables. Finally she came over after watching her continue to clean tables even though no one else was waiting to be seated but us and sat us at a very large table and said that was all they had which is odd since I had a reservation for 2. We ordered and then waited and waited and waited. There was also had a very large party of about 14 or more people at the front which you had to walk by on the way in and out and to use restroom. With co-vid this is concerning since the group was talking and laughing loudly and was close to other diners instead of outside or in the back. Our food never came and at 1:50 server came by and stated their ticket machine was broken and food would be late. We stated we had an appointment and needed to go. He said they would make order to go which was odd since we stated we had an appointment and part of order was soup. We declined to go order due to circumstance. How could we possibly store food in our car in the heat or eat it? He said they were working on order now and it would be right out. We waited another 10 minutes and then started to leave for our appointment which we were now late for. Server flagged us down and tried to hand us our order in a to go bag (which we had previously declined). We again stated we had nowhere to eat or store food in the hot car and were now late for appointment and left. No manager assisted, food was not comped and given to us. Nothing. Terrible experience. And we had to no lunch.
The food is always excellent and the wait staff are the best...
The menu has changed and some of the brunch items (eggs Benedict) were not included or changed.
I think it’s due to corona, but the food was not up to par from my last visits. The service was still excellent though. It’s worth a try at least once. Brunch time is when we visited.
Everything was excellent! Morgan, our waiter was a rock star. And as alway Cafe 501 food was delicious. They are very accommodating with customizing food to our tastes and preferences. We will always be big fans!
Love it there..people are so nice and food is fabulous!
We were there for a birthday party for my sister and I have to say how wonderful all the staff were to help us with this 6 person birthday party. From Talia (hostess) to Emma (our wait staff) our experience at Cafe 501 was top notch. We will all definitely go back again very soon if I have my say so! Food was excellent and all of us would order what we had again - Cuban Sandwich, Salmon, 501 salad, BLT - all tasty, right temperature and yummy. And because of the COVID-19, restaurant wasn't full so noise level was perfect. Don't know what's it's like during normal times but probably a bit noisier - maybe! Anyway, LOVED Cafe 501 and highly recommend for good food, good prices and good ambiance!
Great, thank you!
Cafe 501 is always a great lunch or dinner - good food and drinks and had a wonderful server- she was amazing!
Greeter was confused as to our patio reservation, said it wasn’t open but we had reservations for outside dining. Then when we were taken to the patio area, numerous tables were occupied. She just laughed as said I guess you can eat here. Not very professional.
My friends and I just had a outstanding time. The food was delicious. Our server was so nice, and the lady that made the lemonade for my daughter thank you very much. We can’t wait to return and try the bacon wrapped meatloaf and more yummy desserts!
We went here for father's day and everything on the menu was phenomenal. We tried the shrimp and grits.. the sauce in it was great. We also had the Nashville Chicken sandwich. It was not spicy at all, but tasty! Their brunch drinks were spectacular. You could taste the fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the bloody mary and cucumber spritz.
We had amazing brunch at Cafe 501. Everything was perfect!
Used reservation as I was unsure what the seating situation would be following Covid. Food and service were very good. Reservations were not necessary, as the restaurant has returned to full service.
Out of several things we tried to order. The service was so slow and when we did get our food, the order was wrong. Very disappointing for a place we go to frequently.
We’ve been before for dinner and lunch and had a godd experience but this time (post Covid) was terrible. It took 20 minutes to get my husbands drink and appetizer and my drink was never brought to the table. The waitress didn’t take our order until 40 minutes After we sat down and even before that she was nowhere to be found. We finally got our food 50 minutes in (at this point I finally asked the waitress to just cancel my drink) after and we had to get it to-go as we had post dinner plans.
The couple behind us had their meal comped (Insisted by the manager) but Our terrible service was never acknowledged by staff.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
So happy that everyone was in a mask and gloves. We also didn’t have to sit near anyone. This was my first time to go to a restaurant in 3 months. I was scared, but the staff did a great job! Thank you and we’ll be back soon!
Everything was great, especially due to current dining conditions.
Service was not good. Had to ask for water (twice), straw (twice), and utensils.
I wrote a review on Facebook, but saw an Open Table email asking. The service was amazing, best waiter/bartender I’ve probably ever had. Food was amazing, place was very nice.
Definitely will be back
We eat here frequently for dinner and feel like it's a best kept (dinner) secret. The ambience is great and it's usually fairly quiet. We love the patio when the weather is nice. Their cocktail list is unique, yummy, and changes with seasons (though my only critique is their wine list is a bit blah and needs more International options). There are many great options for appetizers, salads, and entrees. We have several favorites including the Santa Fe chicken. Lately, we've been stuck on the fried chicken as it is some of the best fried chicken we have had in a loooooong time. And it reheats remarkably well, so I'm sure it would be great to go as well. David is also our favorite waiter.
Overall nice place.
We celebrated my mother’s birthday! Jayme our server was fantastic and Stacia the GM took great care of us!!! The food was great we shared several entrees and appetizers. The bar drinks were delicious and their house made hard seltzer was awesome! I haven’t dined at Classen in a while and I have to say it was a great as I remembered!! Thank you for making my moms birthday special!
Been going to 501 at the Curve since it opened and it never lets us down. Love everything about it!
