Food was very good
It was so good
Had fried chicken and veggie bowl. Both were outstanding. Would recommend. Tried to order delivery with door dash, but could not get a menu.
I’m not one to write reviews. Wife and I finally had a chance to go out and enjoy a night to ourselves and the service here was amazing, food... not so much. Ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf, beyond dry. Wife ordered the corn meal flounder with my suggestion (grew up giggin flounder and frying them up) and I have to say it was terrible. I should know better with ordering seafood in a landlocked state but you never know. We would go back maybe for a lunch if we’re in the area (sandwich selection looked good) but probably will refrain from eating dinner here again.
Delicious food. Service was goodish. Beautiful building. We eat here often and love it!
Service was excellent and we were greeted right away. The food was a bit bland and in need of some seasoning. I added some salt and pepper to everything on my plate, which is something I rarely ever do. The food presentation however was stunning.
It was closed in spite of our being given an appointment on open table.
Great waitress! Good atmosphere! Food a little pricey, but "fancy" places are like that.
I feel very comfortable eating at 501...food is lovely and they take good precautions
I haven't eaten out anywhere else during the pandemic, but I've had lunch at Cafe 501 @ Classen Curve on three different occasions. The restaurant is doing everything possible to make your dining experience safe and enjoyable. I highly recommend Cafe 501 @ Classen Curve.
First of all they didn’t have us down for our reservation and the service was horrible.
Love the food and the fact that you can reserve seating at lunch!
The decor is really fun and unusual. I loved the dowels hanging from the ceiling!
We had reservations for 1:00 for Sunday brunch and the place was pretty empty. The service was very good albeit a bit slow despite the fact that there were only 2 additional tables.
The food was ok but I will say that it was very oily. I realize we all ordered something fried but our plates were oil soaked as was the food. The eggs had been ordered “over medium” and they were WAY overcooked.
The drinks were great!
Food is the best part of this establishment. Do not expect quick or great service. It will be a while before you’re greeted or seated even with a reservation. Expect one drink refill at most, and one to two interactions with your server. The food is fresh, and flavorful, but that’s hard to overshadow the terrible service, I have attended twice, and both visits were the same.
Disappointing that your establishment ran out of champagne, running out of dinner ware and not having a back up plan made for a very non satisfactory meal.
Had a fun lunch with my girlfriend. Great food, reasonable prices and excellent service. (I believe her name was JC). There's several reasons I recommend it and frequent it!
Great outdoor space for a perfect evening.
Excellent service, food was well prepared and flavorful.
Not sure what has happened since the COVID re-opening, but the service has been terrible the last 3 times I have had lunch here, (all within the the last 3 weeks). No host/hostess available and even the on duty manager seemed hard pressed to help people waiting for their reserved table. Waited 10 minutes one time and 12 minutes the other time - just to be addressed by any staff person. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat, but after this last time, we will be giving it a break for a few weeks to see if they can get things corrected.
We like to go out to breakfast but your options aren't what we are looking for. We like tradition breakfast and it is hard to fine. Eggs , bacon, and toast or Oatmeal.
Small portions. Food burned on the bottom. Slow service
First time at the 501 but will not be my last. Thanks for a great experience.
Great Food! Drinks were a little slow, but overall good experience!
Tuscan Chicken was fabulous as well as the expertly created Tropical Mule!
Took 15 minutes after being seated to be noticed and offered drinks, and that was after having to ( with a polite wave ) flag a server down.
After that, things got rolling and everything was pretty good.
We were there for the anniversary dinner and it was delicious (as it always is) The service was excellent! We left very full and satisfied.
Still a very good menu and an all around top choice to eat a high quality meal in a relaxing atmosphere.
Excellent food and reasonably price.
Menu is limited on Sunday mornings but still wonderful.
This was my first time dining at this restaurant. My daughter and her friend frequently dine here and recommended it and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was very well seasoned and I asked for a little different plating and they gladly served my chicken how I requested. Prices are very reasonable for a really nice restaurant & I would definitely return.
Social distancing. Wearing masks. Great food and service.
Waitress was very attentive, food was delicious!!!
Café 501 was observing current Covid rules. We still had a nice lunch. I had the Mediterranean bowl which was very tasty.
We love Cafe 501! I was able to get a Coyote salad for brunch which I just love.
We ate outside and it was really pleasant - good service, Cafe 501 is always great and on cooler days, the patio is a nice option.
Food was blah and server was very unenthusiastic and attentive as well.
Had a noon reservation for 2 for lunch. Had an appointment elsewhere at 1:15. Arrived and waited for a hostess. No one came. Finally walked over to a staff member cleaning tables and stated I had a reservation. She said it would be a minute and went back to cleaning tables. Finally she came over after watching her continue to clean tables even though no one else was waiting to be seated but us and sat us at a very large table and said that was all they had which is odd since I had a reservation for 2. We ordered and then waited and waited and waited. There was also had a very large party of about 14 or more people at the front which you had to walk by on the way in and out and to use restroom. With co-vid this is concerning since the group was talking and laughing loudly and was close to other diners instead of outside or in the back. Our food never came and at 1:50 server came by and stated their ticket machine was broken and food would be late. We stated we had an appointment and needed to go. He said they would make order to go which was odd since we stated we had an appointment and part of order was soup. We declined to go order due to circumstance. How could we possibly store food in our car in the heat or eat it? He said they were working on order now and it would be right out. We waited another 10 minutes and then started to leave for our appointment which we were now late for. Server flagged us down and tried to hand us our order in a to go bag (which we had previously declined). We again stated we had nowhere to eat or store food in the hot car and were now late for appointment and left. No manager assisted, food was not comped and given to us. Nothing. Terrible experience. And we had to no lunch.
The food is always excellent and the wait staff are the best...
The menu has changed and some of the brunch items (eggs Benedict) were not included or changed.
I think it’s due to corona, but the food was not up to par from my last visits. The service was still excellent though. It’s worth a try at least once. Brunch time is when we visited.
Everything was excellent! Morgan, our waiter was a rock star. And as alway Cafe 501 food was delicious. They are very accommodating with customizing food to our tastes and preferences. We will always be big fans!
Love it there..people are so nice and food is fabulous!
