I have pleasure in offering you a unique, fine dining experience here in The Highlands at Cafe1, Inverness.

We take great pride in sourcing local ingredients - some produced by ourselves from our own Croft!

Our open plan kitchen turns quality Scottish produce into appealing modern dishes.

We are a restaurant that moves with the times.

All tables are re-booked 2 hours later.

Cancellation policy.
No shows will be charged at £20 per person Monday - Thursday £40 per person Friday & Saturdays.
Cancellations within 5 hrs of dining will be charged £15 per person with the restaurants discretion.

    We booked this restaurant by mistake and what a bonus! Lovely welcome, very friendly and attentive staff and amazing food. A fantastic dining experience and one we will be delighted to repeat. Can we just say how considerate the front of house gentleman was not only with diners but also with his staff. Evident that this is a happy place to work. Thank you!

    Dining for 2 on a 30th birthday Welcoming warm and great service throughout the meal for everyone! Started with pork belly and scallops. Both amazing but the pork belly was outstanding, melt in mouth and a perfect small kick to it! Fish was amazing and The fillet steak was a perfect cut and cooked to perfection For the dessert we both had the crepe with malteser ice cream and toffee sauce which was definitely a massive hit Can’t wait to return

    Enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal prior to going to theatre. Food was Beautiful and waitress was attentive. We felt welcome and cared for during our visit to Cafe 1. Norman and his staff were first class and made this a memorable time with my friend.

    Absolutely incredible food. Wow! Our servers were so attentive and gracious. They weren’t sure how to make a gin gimlet that we ordered but we’re flexible and made the perfect mixture of gin, lime, and subtle sweetness. I started with the orange and pistachio salad that was so light and fresh. Then had the pork loin for the second. So moist and flavorful! An absolute 5 star review. Can’t recommend this place enough!

    The food was quite good although the mac & cheese was a bit peppery. Service was very good and friendly. The waitress was able to give us some hints to find local music in the area. They were also able to accommodate a change in our reservation time without any problem.

    Enjoyed our birthday celebration at cafe 1 We choose from 2 very good menus The food was well presented and freshly served The staff are welcoming and the service is efficient The only small thing on this visit , we were seated by the serving area and ideally we would of liked a table in a less busy area We look forward to our next meal there Thank you to all the staff

    Waitressing staff were friendly, polite and attentive with good numbers in attendance. Food was excellent, the oysters in particular were the best I have had for some time. Only slight negative was the noise level, a bit too loud, both waitresses and ourselves had to raise our voices to be heard clearly. Overall I would highly recommend.

    We stayed overnight in Inverness before starting out Campervan trip. I booked Cafe 1 based on trip advisor & was not disappointed. We arrived at 6.45 & the cafe was full & buzzing, many people were finishing their meal. They obviously start early on a Griday in Inverness. The food was great & the waiters were excellent. We will defo return next time we're up here.

    we visited Cafe 1 for the first time on recommendation from a friend. we opted for the early evening menu as it was very reasonably priced for either having two or three courses. We both had the pate to start which was very tasty, I then had a mixed salad and my husband had the fish and chips. Both dishes were lovely. The portion sizes were ideal and meant that we had room for pudding too! I had the strawberry Eton mess which was delicious and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, which he reluctantly shared so I could try it! Service was great, and time between courses was perfect. We'll Definitley return again!
