Cadot Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Went on a date. Ambiance is top notch. Friendly and charismatic French waiter fit the setting. Food was rich and savory. The onion soup is the best I've had. The scallops were smooth and so flavorful. The creme brulee was very good as well. Little on the pricey side but its worth it. Highly recommend.
The food was amazing. However, our server was also working a large table and he rarely came by to check on us after he took our drink and food order. I think we only saw him 3 times over the course of an hour and a half, and he never asked if we wanted additional drinks until after we were ready to get the check. There was also leftover food on our silverware, the server took it and never replaced it.
My biggest complaint is that I had made a reservation over a week ahead of time and the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, but they sat us next to the kitchen door. When we left there were still empty tables in much better spots. That crappy table should be the very last one used.
Our waiter Ramon was very pleasant and we will ask for him next time in. The accordion player was also great to chat with and watch him play to any song you requested. They use to have a waitress that could sing well but for some reason she is no longer working there. Disappointing.
Best service I have ever had. The staff was friendly and extremely accommodating, and the chef came to greet us as well. The food is fantastic! Coco au vin is amazing and my favorite dish. I highly recommend for anyone who loves a nice dim lighting and a gentle feel for an evening. My go to French restaurant :)
We had lunch at Cadot - there were five of us and everyone raved about the food. Two had a lunch special that was only $12.00, plenty to eat, and delicious. I had the salad nicois that was fresh with generous helpings of perfectly seared tuna and a delicious dressing. The bread was moist and crusty, and the dessert - a kind of ice cream en croute - was also top notch. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, and always seemed to know when drinks needed refilling. Cadot also has a beautiful atmosphere and is refreshingly quiet and relaxing in an era when most restaurants are too noisy and play music that is too fast-paced to allow for leisurely, relaxed dining. I highly recommend Cadot for lunch or dinner.
I had the lamb and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The ratatouille was very fresh. The waiter made sure we had enough time to have a chocolate soufflé since we had theatre tickets. It was my friends first time to eat here and they requested we schedule another visit.
Cadot has a menu that is generally traditional French cuisine. The service was very good, very professional. The food was enjoyable. The interior was much more casual and relaxed than I assumed based on the exterior. It would be an appropriate selection for a casual business dinner or lunch.
We had been only once before, for lunch. This time we sampled the dinner menu, which was great. Service by Eduardo was excellent...low-key and unassuming, yet attentive. Chef Cadot checked in with us and discussed how we liked our wine selection, a red Rhone, and told us some more about it and the region. A very pleasant experience.
The food, the atmosphere, and the French cuisine was excellent. You are surrounded by great servers who are well-trained and beautiful authentic fine art. Chef Jean Marie serves exquisite French cuisine. It is authentic and his deep roots from France are obvious. I highly recommend this place.
Cadot is pricey, but if you're considering it, you are not one of those people who would never pay more than $15 for an entree. So put that aside.
Having dinner at Cadot was like being transported to France ... or back to France, in my case ... which is probably all I need to say.
Visited for Restaurant Week lunch and dinner. The food both times was excellent! Better yet was our waitperson, Annie. She is very knowledgeable (recommend excellent wine pairings) and so delightful with her sense of humor. (We asked to sit in her area on our second visit.) I am so glad to have found this gem of a restaurant and will return because the food is exciting and delicious!
An amazing experience as soon as we stepped in the restaurant. The hostess was very friendly and greeted us promptly. Our server, Rui, was incredible. He had great suggestions that all tasted amazing. My girlfriend and I both decided to order from the restaurant week menu, but we will definitely be back soon!!
Décor and ambiance were very nice. Food was good. Service was mostly good and friendly, but our waiter little off for some reason (had to ask twice for my wine, brought my salad but not my sister's, etc.) Wine was horrible; when a French restaurant offers a rose by the glass, you're expecting a typical dry French rose. Instead, you get a sweet white zin. The chef/owner came out after dinner to see if everything was good and he was very nice. And it was...everything was good and okay, but nothing particularly special. I was a little disappointed. We came for Restaurant Week, and I believe that if you were to add up the individual prices of the 3 courses it came out to be less than the $49 charge for restaurant week dinner. Not that that really matters, because it is for an excellent cause so I don't mind paying more. But just overall the experience was slightly lacking.
