Food and service was impeccable! We all enjoyed or dishes and the ambiance was very pleasing. Portions and price were very amiable. We would definitely go back again.
Very good food and service, will come again!
Always wonderful, the food continues to delight. My wife had selections from the main dinner menu, mine were from the Restaurant Week menu; everything was flavorful, subtle, and rewarding. Service was gracious and very helpful without being overbearing.
Absolutely wonderful. A trip to Paris without leaving the country.
Cadot always makes it feel like a special and never disappoints. The chef's personal attention to detail and his customers sets this place apart.
We have seen this restaurant for years but have never tried it. I lived in France for 6 years and wanted a special dinner for my 50th birthday!
WOW!! The food and service was amazing. All of the food was so good and authentic.
We have had no better food or service anywhere. This is a beautifully refined restaurant iced with excellence snd great care. Every minute and morsel was a delight! We hope to return soon! Loved Cadot!
Fantastic French restaurant! Every time we dine there we have a great, memorable meal!
Great food & service!
Had a fantastic time!
I took a friend for her birthday lunch. Food was delicious! Excellent service too!
It was a lovely experience ~~ great food and service! Went twice this same week
We five neighbors picked Cadot and let them know that we were celebrating two birthdays. We had to signal a waiter to take our easy order: chicken crêpes all around! It arrived quickly and the portions were just right: we all cleaned our plates! The birthday girls ordered a crème brûlée with vanilla/bourbon sauce to share. We did not complain that it came with no sauce but we were disappointed that It was not comp (At Season’s 52 we are given free Prosecco all around and the birthday dessert is free!)
My wife's favorite restaurant. Great food and perfect for a date night.
Noise level enables conversation at a normal level. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. It all adds up to an enjoyable dining experience.
We always go to Cadot for our special occasions and we are never disappointed. My husband had the flounder it was excellent and I had the short ribs just melted in my mouth. We saved just enough room for dessert and finished with a flute of champagne! Wonderful
Overall food was well prepared and tasty. One person in our party ordered duck, it was served undercooked and had to be sent back. We thought a dessert or coffee should have been offered to compensate for the inconvenience.
Fabulous. Bone in ribeye fantastic! Blue cheese with spinach. The brie mushroom soup will cure what ailes you!
Our party of four had froie gras, tenderloin, short ribs and salmon, all of which were great. Super wine list. We split a chocolate and grande marinere souffles, which were excellent. The food here is always excellent. We will continue to go back.
The service was very good...Jose did a nice job of getting everyone's orders, drinks. Also when we asked for more bread, it came out very quickly and still warm! The check was correct, as I had asked Jose, to be
sure that the check came to me, and everything was entered correctly.
The "hovering" waiter continuously interrupted our conversation for the sole purpose of trying to sell us items in which we had no interest. As is typical of North Dallas the price point of this restaurant seriously exceeds its' ability to perform. The redeeming value of Cadot is that it is relatively quiet which enables good table conversation ... when the waiter is not interrupting.
Best salmon my husbands ever had! And the veal scallopini was divine.
Fun place for a good value. Food was good and service well timed.
Food was excellent as usual. However they did run ouy of one entree. The ambiance is preferable to older individuals who appreciate French cusine in a more reserved setting. A must have is the mussles which are the best I have had anywhere in North America. The wine list is also top notch.
The flounder was poorly prepared - mushy and not tasty.
We have never had a meal there that was less than excellent. The bouillabaisse I had on this visit was fabulous. The seared fois gras and poached pears were delicious and the beignets are heavenly. I can't wait to go back.
Lovely place. The musician was great coming by the table to play for us.
Cadot is always a wonderful experience. The food, service and ambiance are all excellent.
Cadot remains my favorite Dallas restaurant. Such a lovely and peaceful spot to indulge in fantastic food and drink.
Stellar all around! Food was bang on the table good, our server Ramon was knowledgeable, engaging and kind. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. Veal scallopini was one of the best I've ever had. Chocolate souffle was very impressive and the cafe parfait was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
Cadot is a consistent great experience with delicious entrees and terrific service. It’s one of our favorite neighborhood gems.
The lobster bisque only had crawfish in it and tasted burned. The foie gras was not great quality and burned. The waiter acted annoyed the whole time, although he was attentive. The accordion playing was unpleasantly loud. The special that night of
Baked Sole was way over priced for the portion!
Cadot is amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and we did not have to wait despite the restaurant being full. We had a reservation for six people. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made an excellent wine recommendation. We highly recommend the ribeye, the filet, the bibb lettuce salad, the endive salad, the opera dessert, and the beignets. The coffee, espresso, and specialty coffees were also delicious. Highly recommend!
Cadot offers the ambiance, service, dish presentation, price point, and recipes of French fine dining. For me, Cadot misses the mark with the quality of the food at it’s price point. The quality/$ standard for me is restaurants like The Keeper, Whiskey Cake, Sixty Vines, HG Supply Co, and Whistle Britches which all offer farm to fork somewhat locally sourced refined and fresh seasonal recipes. We ordered the seared foie gras, duck wraps, bouillabaisse, crusted flounder, and wine. The dishes are balanced and beautiful with light subtle unique flavors, yet, with the exception of the crusted flounder, unremarkable imo. To me Cadot is a place you can go for decent food and recipes, but what you are paying for is the experience of feeling rich, refined, elite. The customer base was not very diverse. Mostly older conservative and classily dressed white folks that were regulars that knew the names of their servers. The servers are wonderful and I hope the tips are as the price of the food because I can’t image being a minority in the current American socio political climate and serving people that say things in jest like, “How is your day? Would you tell us if it sucked?”. Anyhow, just not a fit for me obviously hence the low value and ambiance rating, but if your looking to feel like your rich and have a a romantic fine dining experience I would definitely recommend it :)
It was a birthday for my husband. Preordered a grand mariner soufflé and they served choc! Filet was tough and duck was fatty! Told waiter and NOTHING done. This poor experience cost 167.00.
My favorite restaurant is Cadot. We go several times a year (for several years) and have never had disappointing food or service. We are always treated with consideration. The menu is not extremely long but covers all the important bases. This is a FRENCH restaurant with white tablecloths and live music (maybe only on the weekends). The restaurant is not inexpensive but compared to most restaurants these days, it seems reasonable considering the quality of the food & service. They go the extra mile in presentation and freshness of ingredients. There is an authentic "old world" feel to the decor. The music comes tableside and takes requests (not a mariachi band, please). We always go early (6:00 pm), with reservations because by 7:00 the place is packed. The wine list is very good with prices that do not gouge. There is also a pleasing bar where food is served off the same menu. This is not a "hipster" restaurant (with loud music and the trendy decor of the day) but people of all ages will be present. Also, the staff are professionals, have been there many years and know what they are doing. They can competently recommend wine and menu items can be customized for food allergies or preferences. Very accommodating!
Excellent food and value. Great restaurant. Excellent for date nights
We always look forward to our dining experience at Cadot! Waiter was fun, pleasant and professional! Food was wonderful and always perfect temperature!
Had to wait to be acknowledged at the front desk for 10 minutes. Waited 30 minutes to have our food order taken. Half way through dinner the staff started cleaning up the restaurant moving tables, chairs, sweeping and talking to each other in loud voices. It was frustrating because if they wanted to start closing down their restaurant at 9:30pm, they should not have taken a reservation at 8:15. I will not visit Cadot again. Also, the food was pretty average.
As always, every bite was delicious! We spent three hours eating a decadent dinner and never felt rushed. It’s the perfect place to enjoy phenomenal French cuisine.
