Cadot is great for groups! We have fixed price menu's for groups that can fit almost any budget. Let us bid your next event.
We enjoyed the Dover Sole and Flounder dishes. The flavors were great and my wife and I cleaned our plate. The only negative for the evening dinner was the uneven and slow pacing of the service. As our Waiter gained more tables to serve, the care and service slowed down and he began making service mistakes, including soaking the women at the table next to us with water from the ice and wine from the wine cooler.
Hit and miss. Some food was great. Some food was average. Too expensive for average food. We asked for bread when we were seated. We were told waiting for fresh bread. Twenty minutes later when our appetizers came out. We asked waiter for our bread. He obviously forgot, and brought it right out. Wife ordered a second glass of wine. Fifteen minutes later when we were almost through with our meal, she got it.
Lvat Valentine’s Day @ our favorite French restaurant. Makes us feel like we’re in Paris again.
Very nice date night restaurant. The crispy duck appetizer was excellent as was the beignet dessert. Flounder was a little bit bland. My husband's shrimp and scallop pasta was very good as well. Our waiter was wonderful. Very nice Valentine's Day dinner.
We need to come more often.
The food was luke warm. I guess it was because if the bulk Valentine's Day meal. Also, Jose our waiter was not attentive and brought me braised ribs but I ordered the veal. Would go back outside of a holiday when the menu isn't pre-cooked so the full is available.
The service from our waiter was poor. He didn't even smile once when taking to us. A sit down restaurant should have better service. Eduardo did not help extend a good experience for us at Cadot. Escargot and onion soup was great. Gnocchi and steak not great because of the red wine sauce not being that good to us. And I have had better souffles. We have it a try and not giving it another.
Excellent food and service.
My favorite restaurant..Jean Marie and his staff are first class.
Wonderful food friendly waiters a quiet northdallas crowd. Country French is the best in town
Cadot is my favorite restaurant in Dallas!!!
Food is excellent but overpriced. French feel but waiting staff needs updating. They try to trick you into ordering the most expensive items like a kir royale for 11 bucks. Champagne, cassis syrup and a lemon wedge. Cost price 2 dollars?
I always feel special when I dine there. The beignets are incredible. Service fantastic. No problems with reservations. If busy, dine at the bar for a different but rewarding experience. This is our go to place for special occasions and for entertaining guests
Great food great service. Always a treat!
The Cadot is a local treasure. The food is wonderful, offering a wide range of options. The Ahi Tuna Blackened is spectacular.
Excellent food and service.
The food and service are outstanding! The best French food in Dallas!
Waiter was outstanding. Very personable. Calamari was really good. Extremely tender. Did not like the dressing on the house salad. Hubby loved the Caesars though. I had roasted duck, superb. He had filet mignon, very good as well. Bengiets different but good. Definitely recommend.
First time there. Everything was wonderful and we will definitely go back.
We had a splendid time. We are a group of very old friends that because of time and distance we don’t see enough of each other. This was a rare occasion where all of us could meet. The food and wine flowed around the table family style. The accordion player provided beautiful background music. The entire experience brought joy to our group.
Fabulous service and meal. The best’
We received a warm welcome from Chef Jean Marie as usual. The ambiance was perfect festive and quiet. The food was delicious and the service we received was perfect. We love going to Cadots. I recommend if you haven’t been there yet to go enjoy the amazing food, you will not be disappointed.
dinner was excellent- frog legs and escargot appetizers were very flavorful. Dover sole is always a winner. decent wine list at reasonable prices. professional service.
Such a lovely place with great service and delicious food!!
Always have a great dining experience at Cadot!
My group just loved Cadot! Excellent all around. The food was superb!
I think it was overprice, but the food was great. I thought it cost more for the little of food we got.
Cadot is like going to your best friend's home for dinner AND your friend can really cook. The restaurant and bar were very busy (a good thing), the service was friendly, professional and prompt (but not hurried). The food (two fish and two meat dishes) were excellent. Timing was perfect in spite of a full house - sign of a well run kitchen. Chef / Owner Jean Marie Cadot was so busy that he did not have a chance for his unsual mingling with the patrons until about 9:00. This is our "go to" place for a neighborhood date night with good friends.
Cadot is our favorite restaurant of all time! We have introduced a number of friends to the scene. Everyone is always impressed and Cadot becomes their favorite too. We are NEVER disappointed in the food or have poor service. It is very consistent in quality and that includes RESTAURANT WEEK (restaurants lower standards then, some people say). Their wine list has good variety and quality choices and the prices do not gouge you. The professional staff are knowledgeable about the food and wine. I don't know if Cadot has a HAPPY HOUR, but the bar is very classy and warm.
You may be greeted at the door by the owner who will accommodate special requests. He made THE most delicious 3 layer strawberry cake for my birthday celebration to entertain us and our friends. Another friend is lactose intolerant, but Cadot accommodated his food requirements. Believe me, they aim to please in any and all ways possible. We always feel like they remember us even though we haven't been there for a couple of months. Also, a big shout out to the roaming accordion player who can play anything you request. This is the place for a special occasion or no special occasion at all. Thanks, CADOT, FOR ALL THE MEMORIES!
Ibeen there many times and always enjoy the cuisine and atmosphere
Once again excellent food - short ribs and Dover sole. Thank you Jean-Marie!
We went for lunch and it was terrific. I had the goat cheese salad and French onion soup. My friends had the quiche and the chicken salad with walnuts. All was delicious.
The service is wonderful. Attentive but not intrusive. The food is always outstanding.
Our dinners (sea bass and coq au vin) along with the appetizer and profiteroles were excellent.
Wonderful restaurant! The crab cake was out of this world! Loved this dining experience!
Vladimir plays the accordion so well with romantic songs which adds to the overall experience.
Everything was very good - food, wine, ambiance. A bit on the pricey side though. Good venue for a special occasion.
Jean Marie Cadot-owner/chef always tries to come by your table to see if you liked your dinner. Nice touch if it is not too busy.
Fantastic! Wonderful service. Excellent meal. Great ambiance. Really enjoyed strolling musician.
Food is truly special
Always a great visit!!!
