Best restaurant ever! Great food great service awesome employees.
Loved it here, food was awesome and had a great time:)
Outstanding food and service! The Cacio e Pepe was delicious and an excellent wine selection.
The people there are amazing, so welcoming and kind. Whatever you need they are there for you. They are also genuinely Italian which add a great deal to the whole experience. They have a garden like place behind their shop where you can sit with the warmth of they individual heaters and light bulbs, perfect to enjoy during the pandemic restrictions. The food is the real thing, fresh pasta (you can absolutely tell the difference) and the most rich cheese you will ever find. I recommend trying the Cacio e Pepe plate, it is without doubt the most unique.
Our dinner was delicious and the staff were very attentive! Will definitely visit again!
Great place - service is the best
One of my very favorite Italian restaurants. Great food, cocktails, service and nice venue for outside dining in their garden.
Amazing service, the best pasta, great outdoor patio with heaters.
Best food!! The servers treated you like family and made our Christmas Eve dinner feel intimate. It was the perfect choice for a special meal. Great portion sizes and wine pours. Very hard to find that in New York. Will definitely be going back!
Both pasta were delicious, al dente and really tasty. The appetiser was an interesting combination (on paper) but not our taste; the dessert was original and very good. The drink selection is also pretty good.
On a negative note, a restaurant not offering credit card (only AMEX) as payment option leaves you puzzled.
Great experience and service
It was great!!
Service was great, staff kind and attentive. Food was excellent.
Found that the food was over salted and mediocre for the prices.. I ordered the cacio e pepe which is the namesake dish and was disappointed. It was too salty and I could only eat a few bites. The meatballs we ordered for starters also lacked flavor but were heavily salted as well. Also did not appreciate that at the end of the meal when we went to pay with credit cards we were informed they only take American Express OR cash. We were surprised to hear that American Express is the only Credit card they take as usually it is the opposite for most restaurants and small businesses. Felt a bit shady that were not informed of this before hand. We had to take over $100 out in cash at their ATM to pay the bill and at the end of the meal we were being stared at to finish our meal and get out so they could close shop early. Will not be returning and would not recommend. Save your money
Another excellent meal. Had the meatballs as an appetizer and of course the Cacio e Pepe as the main course. The Cacio e Pepe is the best I ever had anywhere!
We had a lovely table out in the back garden under tent coverage and heat lamps. The food was exceptional as we've come to expect at cacio e pepe (it's a place we frequent often)
The wine choice is excellent and so reasonable. The staff were beyond accommodating, as we stayed for a few hours, closing the place down. They never once rushed us, even though the staff were ready to leave inside ( we soon realized). Needless to say, we tipped well once we saw that we were keeping them and promptly left. They were so courteous. We'll definitely be back soon.
Cash and AMEX ONLY!! Was not aware until we sat down. They have an ATM but of course you are charged to use it.
Consistently excellent cuisine. Innovative chef and friendly service. Good value on wines.
Chef Salvatore ‘s menu changes with each season. The food he prepares is fresh and flavorful of the essences of the time of year. The signature dish
Cacio e pepe is served all year round.
Its presentation is served to capture all the flavors of the dish. My dinner
Companion said she wanted to savor all the flavors, it was so delicous!
A must dinner experience on the lower eastside.
Loved the food and staff
Went with boyfriend for his birthday. Tried 2 appetizers which we did not enjoy at all. The pastas dishes were good. Basically went here cause I saw the pasta served in the parm wheel all over Instagram. The 10 seconds were not worth the hype. Then when they brought out the tiramisu with the candle for his bday they didn’t even say happy birthday. Just placed it on the table and walked away. As for atmosphere, I heard they have a nice outdoor back area (which is another reason I planned to eat here) but we were seated on the front sidewalk.
It was great but the only accepting Amex and cash is frustrating.
It was great
Food is not spectacular. It was just fun to watch the pasta being cooked inside that giant wheel of cheese.
Super great. Since it’s covid time, we were asked if outdoor or the garden, and we decided the garden, glad We did. Super cute, great food and drinks great price.
lovely people and welcoming. Must the get the cheese wheel pasta.
Lovely back garden for pandemic outdoor dining; food was nothing to write home about, but solid and service was friendly (and waitress nicely pointed out auto-added tip for large party).
I loved my experience at Cacio Pepe. The Garden experience was magnificent. The service great, the food made with love and care. I will come back soon.
Had a nice evening in the back garden. Very pleasant surroundings and very good food.
The food here is below average. The wine choice is very average. They also only had 1 choice of beer (bottled) Frost. Their signature dish - Cacio e Pepe was cold and underwhelming. Overall this restaurant seems over priced for the quality of food they serve. This may be better suited for a student crowd.
Had a wonderful dinner outside in the garden. Enjoyed the food, service and ambience.
Excellent, as always. Great outdoor seating, too.
always impresses my guests with the food and hospitality
Delicious always! And friendly service too :)
Such a lovely setting to dine al fresco. Of course, you must get the eponymous pasta.
The service was as if the staff were welcoming you back, like you’ve definitely been there before. The food was precise, timely and all-around satisfying. We were seated outside in the garden area which has a great ambiance and made for a romantic evening. It’s easy to rave about the pasta made in a wheel of cheese but this quaint spot has much more to offer.
I was so surprised by the garden in the back. It was lovely and a perfect spot to get together. We, of course, had the Cacio Pepe. We split it among four of us for an appetizer and it was enough. The way the pasta is tossed in the giant wheel of Parmesan Romano was a treat to see for our out of town guests.
Simply the best Italian in the east village. Perfect.
Amazing service and amazing food. Highly recommend.
Outstanding food and service. Parm Creme Brûlée starter was outstanding and pasta first rate.
Cacio e Pepe has been our go to for years. You won’t find better fresh pastas and authentic cooking than here!
