it’s a must. service fantastic. food just as amazing. great vibes.
This restaurant was incredible! The attention to detail from all aspects of our evening was done with grace!
Always a pleasure to eat here. Food is good and service is outstanding. Our waitress, Veronica took great care of us. Always checking that everything met our approval. Eating in the outdoor garden added to the experience. Can't wait to go back.
The staff is so kind there, the food so good, and the ambiance lovely! Can’t recommend enough!
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely dine again!
Amazing! Get the caccio Pepe!!!
It was my birthday. We were early for our reservation and afraid we would be able to get in. The host was so kind and accommodating, seating is in the garden area. It was a bit loud with a large party in progress but we didn’t mind as it led to a festive atmosphere after our long day. I couldn’t appreciate the exception more. And the lovely tiramisu as a gift was a perfect ending
Great food, service, definitely will come back. Unfortunately, there was a crowd out back that was blatantly TOO loud. I am a fan of birthdays, but their sound was obnoxious and unprofessional, interrupting everyones dinner. If i were a server I would've said something.
Really good food! Great experience! The cheese wheel & Cornish hen is a must try!
We got the cacio e Pepe which was good! we also got the burrata and the truffle pasta which was amazing! The espresso martini were 18 which was ridiculous but the food was amazing! Defiantly a bit expensive. The cacio e Pepe was good but would not get it again. It is also cash only or Amex which was annoying
The food was high quality though a little bit pricey.
The server was good untill the moment she added 22% to the tip without asking and when we didn't give her what she wanted she was really rude about it and chased us to the door.
Best experience ever! The staff was incredible and gave me a lovely birthday surprise dessert. They made my birthday so special! I will definitely be back.
Fantastic! Food and service was great
Friday dinner with friends..
We ordered all the pastas with the beef cheek main and tempura appetizer:
The pastas were all al dente.
The eponymous cacio was prepared gimmicky on a wheel of parmesan which looks great but a mistake in taste.
It is over sauced and not as delicate as you loose the nuance of the pepper taste.
The amatriciana was better and mild but still heavily drenched.
The risottowas delicate but over garnished.
The paccheri was the best one.
The beef cheeks were flavorful and tender.
The 65 dollar wine bottles were good but overpriced.
The granita was the best in all the desserts.
Service was attentive and pleasant.
The good was ok, limited menu with the items having one ingredient that threw it off for me
Love, love, love the cacio pepe! The reason to eat there.
Everything we had was incredible. The appetizer tasted very fresh, the pasta was amazing, and the portion size was perfect. The staff were very responsive and accomodating. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic italian restaurant.
The people were super nice and the ambience was energetic, yet peaceful. However, the very dish the restaurant is named after (Tonnarelli cacio e pepe) was a letdown, since the pasta went cold by the time it was brought outside to be swirled in the cheese block. This resulted in the dish being chunky and dry, even though I appreciate the showmanship.
HOWEVER, the Fettuccine con crema di parmigiano e perle di tartufo nero was utterly HEAVENLY and I rate it a 100 out of 10. Every bite was perfectly balanced and I just wanted more even after I was full.
Next time, I’d also love to see the restaurant accept payment methods other than just American Express and Cash.
Food was delicious and ambiance was so nice.
I had so much fun with my 5 friends at Cacio e Pepe. We were promptly accommodated as soon as we arrived and we’re offered drinks even off the menu! (margaritas, etc.) The pasta was absolutely delicious - i highly recommend the truffle fettuccini.
Best restaurant ever! Great food great service awesome employees.
Loved it here, food was awesome and had a great time:)
Outstanding food and service! The Cacio e Pepe was delicious and an excellent wine selection.
The people there are amazing, so welcoming and kind. Whatever you need they are there for you. They are also genuinely Italian which add a great deal to the whole experience. They have a garden like place behind their shop where you can sit with the warmth of they individual heaters and light bulbs, perfect to enjoy during the pandemic restrictions. The food is the real thing, fresh pasta (you can absolutely tell the difference) and the most rich cheese you will ever find. I recommend trying the Cacio e Pepe plate, it is without doubt the most unique.
Our dinner was delicious and the staff were very attentive! Will definitely visit again!
Great place - service is the best
One of my very favorite Italian restaurants. Great food, cocktails, service and nice venue for outside dining in their garden.
Amazing service, the best pasta, great outdoor patio with heaters.
Best food!! The servers treated you like family and made our Christmas Eve dinner feel intimate. It was the perfect choice for a special meal. Great portion sizes and wine pours. Very hard to find that in New York. Will definitely be going back!
Both pasta were delicious, al dente and really tasty. The appetiser was an interesting combination (on paper) but not our taste; the dessert was original and very good. The drink selection is also pretty good.
On a negative note, a restaurant not offering credit card (only AMEX) as payment option leaves you puzzled.
Great experience and service
It was great!!
Service was great, staff kind and attentive. Food was excellent.
Found that the food was over salted and mediocre for the prices.. I ordered the cacio e pepe which is the namesake dish and was disappointed. It was too salty and I could only eat a few bites. The meatballs we ordered for starters also lacked flavor but were heavily salted as well. Also did not appreciate that at the end of the meal when we went to pay with credit cards we were informed they only take American Express OR cash. We were surprised to hear that American Express is the only Credit card they take as usually it is the opposite for most restaurants and small businesses. Felt a bit shady that were not informed of this before hand. We had to take over $100 out in cash at their ATM to pay the bill and at the end of the meal we were being stared at to finish our meal and get out so they could close shop early. Will not be returning and would not recommend. Save your money
Another excellent meal. Had the meatballs as an appetizer and of course the Cacio e Pepe as the main course. The Cacio e Pepe is the best I ever had anywhere!
We had a lovely table out in the back garden under tent coverage and heat lamps. The food was exceptional as we've come to expect at cacio e pepe (it's a place we frequent often)
The wine choice is excellent and so reasonable. The staff were beyond accommodating, as we stayed for a few hours, closing the place down. They never once rushed us, even though the staff were ready to leave inside ( we soon realized). Needless to say, we tipped well once we saw that we were keeping them and promptly left. They were so courteous. We'll definitely be back soon.
Cash and AMEX ONLY!! Was not aware until we sat down. They have an ATM but of course you are charged to use it.
Consistently excellent cuisine. Innovative chef and friendly service. Good value on wines.
Chef Salvatore ‘s menu changes with each season. The food he prepares is fresh and flavorful of the essences of the time of year. The signature dish
Cacio e pepe is served all year round.
Its presentation is served to capture all the flavors of the dish. My dinner
Companion said she wanted to savor all the flavors, it was so delicous!
A must dinner experience on the lower eastside.
Loved the food and staff
