The food was delicious and unique, very flavorful. The place itself is small and only accepts AMEX and cash so had to use the atm in the back. Wish I had known as to not get charged the atm fee but dinner and wine was a great price for the city and the food quality so it worked out. My only real grievance is I wrote in the reservation that it was a special occasion for a birthday and I wanted it to be a nice table or something for the birthday and it was not acknowledged at all and if I am going with one other person to an intimate dinner you don’t want to have to make a scene or obviously tell a waiter like I’m celebrating an occasion. Overall, would recommend and was pleased

I thought the overall experience was fine. It wasn't that it was horrible or anything, I just went into it thinking it would've been different. To explain, I went for my birthday with four friends and they easily accommodated us, but I felt as if we were quickly rushed through the experience. I would've liked my birthday dinner to be more lively or had them not push us out. Cash only too but ATM in the restaurant. Food was good!

Always enjoy Cacio e Pepe. Some new dishes to try. Excellent caesar salad-ask for anchovies on the side if you are splitting the salad and your partner is not keen on them. The name sake Cacio e Pepe pasta dish is addictive. Tried the parmigiane risotto-excellent.

Had a great time at Cacio e Pepe! The food (cheese wheel!!) was delicious, service quick and efficient. The back garden was really lovely too. We’ll definitely be back.

My son and I enjoyed a very satisfying dinner with good service. The food was very good and we could carry on a conversation without difficulty. The staff was great and pleasant in all respects. The menu is limited but the dishes were well executed and tasty.

We ordered glasses of wine, the prosciutto and cheese creme brulee (MUST order) the Cacio e pepe (I’ve had better) and another dish I forget the name because it wasn’t that great. Besides the pasta dishes (which we came for) everything was wonderful from service, to ambiance, to price to noise!!

Delicious, fresh, Italian pasta! The fettuccine with arugula pesto was amazing! The burratta appetizer with anchovies was authentic and very tasty to share. The Tiramisu was light and creamy without being too sweet - the best I’ve had!

I love this little neighborhood gem—-
Biggest issue is the noise level—
Even with only a few diners in the restaurant,
it is difficult to hear your dinner partner from
across the table. It would be great if they could
install some sort if acoustics.
Otherwise, as always, a wonderful dining experience!

Loved it! I made reservations here because of the dish that comes out in the big cheese of wheel. The reservation process was easy, we didn't have to wait for our table at all and was given in option of preferred table. The waitresses were very nice! The only thing is that it was very hot but that could be because of the small/crowded space. Also, we noticed that it took a very long time for orders to be taken and for bills to be given. We actually witnessed somebody walk out on their bill after trying to get a waitresses attention for some time. So, I suggest ordering your whole mean (drinks & food) together. Other than that, the restaurant was great!

We have been here MANY times.. our family loves this restaurant. This last visit the server was very inattentive and seemed annoyed by us rather than accommodating.
We asked at reservation to be seated at top level, as we Walked up to be seated they sat the last table in that section. We sat outside to enjoy the evening, and were ignored. Hoping to go back again with a different server and experience.

As always, the food--especially the namesake dish--was excellent. Everyone enjoyed it. Our server was not quite as friendly as the servers usually are. I also wish that the restaurant would accept Mastercard and Visa; at this point, they only take Amex and cash, which is strange.

Food was amazing, and I highly recommend sitting in the back courtyard.
The signature dish of fresh pasta in the cheese wheel is well worth it and the chicken rollatina was the perfect.

We sat in the outdoor area at the back and loved it. It’s quieter and cooler the further away from the building one is. The chairs are some what rustic but the burrata and summer salad were delicious. The signature pasta plates were wiped clean... so good!

Had a table in the garden. Was a little bit hot (but weather was unusually hot for NYC). Food was great and service was awesome. The house pasta dish is uniquely served in a wheel of cheese.

Restaurant is highly recommended.

The room was extremely hot. There was air conditioning but the front of the restaurant was open so there was really no way to keep the temperature comfortable. Food was good but the Cacio ePepe did not have enough cracked pepper. The servers rushed us by hovering over us to grab our plates before we were ready to finish.

I have been wanting to go to this place since I saw a video on FB. It surpassed all my expectations with the service and food. It's an experience to have for sure if you are in NYC.

By far the worst dining experience I’ve had in nyc. The food was inedible and the service was truly awful. I got the cacio e pepe pasta and neither of us wanted to eat it because it was flavorless and undercooked.

The AC was on but the window / glass doors were open and it was oppressive! It was hard to develop an appetite as it was wsy too hot!
