Cacharel Restaurant - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
We had our Office Christmas luncheon here. I come here often with 1-3 people and the service has always been excellent. The service for 9 people yesterday was just as phenomenal. The food was as fabulous as ever. This is my favorite restaurant in Arlington to have lunch. I always feel warmly welcomed and tended to.
I was looking for a very special restaurant suitable to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. I could not have been more pleased. Ours was a truly extraordinary gourmet experience. True European cuisine, without the pretension or arrogance! If there is such a thing as "down-home" elegant, European cuisine, this is it. It was not cheap, but the set-price menu made the cost reasonable. Because we had a youngster (age 9) in our group who did not fancy elegant fare, we asked if they had something that was more kid-friendly. The answer was yes. We were offered two good options not listed on the menu. The accommodation to our needs and preferences made for a perfect evening. The service, the food, and the ambience were superb. It was a cold, rainy night, so our only disappointment was the absence of a panoramic view from the 9th floor, as we had hoped. (But the truth his we didn't really miss the views of Six Flags.) On the contrary, the warmth of the restaurant's own atmosphere more than made up for the lack of city views.
We were tourists & had little idea what to expect. We had an excellent experience, even though the restaurant had to change the time of our reservation. Luckily we got a call when we were driving between Dallas & Ft. Worth, and were able to reset the GPS. The waiters/staff were all super helpful & friendly. Willing to split an entree & mix a weird hot tea drink for me. Just exceptionally pleasant. Caution to others is to try not to be offended by politicking & business talk by other patrons. Hard to have privacy when busy.
I ordered the steak the 16 Oz Cowboy Rib eye Steak. It needs more salt added to the steak and more flavoring. Sad thing was the steak I got had more fat then meat itself. My girlfriend ordered the Pecan Chicken and said it was good. Just wish the steak I got was for the price I payed for it. Her father can buy a steak at the store and make it taste like the best steak in the world. Just wish there was seasoning and more for the price I paid for it. That's about it the dining experience was great. Great music and great lighting. On the website it should let you choose seating ahead of time. But overall good experience. Just wish my steak had more seasoning and less fat and the price I paid for it.
We enjoy Cacharel for special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays. The food is always well-prepared and delicious and served in reasonable portions. The wine list includes several of our favorites by the glass, a convenience for those of us who are not big drinkers. The service is courteous and friendly without being overwhelming.
My wife and I have eaten at the Cacharel restaurant many times and have received delicious food and excellent service over the the years. Therefore, we decided we would spend our wedding anniversary that evening which was on a Thursday night. The food was delicious as usual and overlooking the city of Arlington is always a treat; however, the service that night was unacceptable. It started off alright with 2 glasses of champagne and wonderful appetizers, but as the night progressed we were waiting longer and longer between visits from our server. It wasn't very busy that night, but we still found ourselves looking for our server towards the end of the meal and had to ask the busser to retrieve our server for us. We complained to the server when he did arrive that he had not been very attentive and he responded that he wanted us to dine without intrusion. We said that we had dined here many times and that we had never not seen our server for 15 minutes at a time. He said then we should know what to expect. We said, we do. I still recommend Cacharel restaurant but it will be a while before we return again ourselves as our anniversary dinner was ruined because of the poor service.
This was my husband's 68th birthday and he would agree to no other restaurant but yours.
This is our 3rd year in a row and he (and I) still have a wonderful time there. I've never announced his birthday to you each time but after seeing how special you made the couple nest to us celebrate their anniversary, I will, on his next b'day....or mine :)
Our server was tops!!!!!!
Server was not aware this was our wedding anniversary celebration-I asked him why he did not congratulate us and he said he only knew that we did not want a table at the entrance. It would have been nice to be greeted by our name and congratulated.
The asst. server went to the kitchen to answer a question we had about the food and never returned.
The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
I ordered lobster-it was over cooked.
Very disappointed about our choice for our celebration.
It was a wonderful dining experience! We enjoyed the food very much. On a Tuesday evening, it was almost without other diners. Our reservations were made to take advantage of "restaurant week," as advertised. After getting there, we were told "restaurant week" was no longer observed.
