Cacciari's Restaurant Sth Kensington - Old Brompton Rd
Cacciari’s restaurants have been established with the purpose of making their customers familiar with the culinary traditions of Emilia Romagna, Italian region.
Our restaurants are based on the concept of the typical “trattoria Bolognese”, that mainly emphasises the quality and the freshness of the raw materials.
All our imported products are carefully selected from the best available suppliers in our native region. Our specialties, such as Piadina Romagnola, Garganelli and the famous Tortellini are handmade on our premises.
We believe that freshness is the key factor of quality. Therefore, our in-house production guarantees that our customers are offered only fresh products prepared every morning.
All sauces are freshly cooked and each product is made by following the old procedures and traditions from Bologna: bread, pasta, piadina and desserts.
Excellent pasta and great service
We have eaten here a few times. The food and wine is always great. The staff are attentive and the service is very good.
The food is absolutely delicious, the service is great and they do an excellent G&T as well!
The restaurant was average at best. Food was okay and the service was both average and below average.
Truly lovely and accommodating
Top quality Italian food, great service and ambiance. My favourite Italian restaurant in London!
Unfortunately this restaurant serves a high volume of delivery customers so you get delivery guys in helmets in and out constantly to the bar to pick up their orders or waiting outside the pavement. (they were 6 when we were eating) Not very nice when one is trying to have a nice meal at quite a high price while looking straight at the bar or out into big windows and seeing a bunch of men in helmets waiting around.
While staying in London on business I seek out 'ethnic' foods over the usual British Pub offerings. I found Cacciari's via Google search for Italian restaurants close to Holiday Inn Kensington. The staff friendly, the food very good, after declining a desert because I was so full from the lamb special that I had eaten the owner poured me a shot of limoncello liqueur, very nice of him. I will dine there again if in Kensington.
Food was tasty with good sized portions but our dining experience was spoiled by the amount of fruit flies hovering around. Service was quite slow and our waitress could have smiled a little.
We came here for a reunion and to be honest I can’t really remember too much about the food as we got drunk and talked incessantly! We had a lovely table by the window and all the food seemed ok!
Good food and excellent service. They were accommodating despite not having received the reservation from Opentable.
The wife and I went to have dinner. Service was quick and excellent, we were well cared for. The food was great. We had charcuterie to begin with and then I had pasta while wife had chicken. Would definitely recommend
We had a delicious meal. The calamari was fantastic as were our meals of freshly made pasta.
Lovely place. The only issue was that the food could a been hotter. I'm sure he staff would have rectified this had we mentioned it at the time.
I really enjoyed my first visit and will definitely be returning again.
The food took an hour to come! And there was no discount. But, the food was very good (especially the bread)
Excellent food, lovely service. Would give 5 stars overall but server forgot one of the dishes ordered. Lovely place. Definitely would recommend
Excellent place for dinner, good atmosphere, good food and excellent customer service. Will visit again
Great dinner, for a friend get together the staff is very nice. You will never be disappointed about the pasta and it is great value for money
I had a beautiful brunch here in Cacciari’s just to celebrate the arrival of a special friend.
Experience as good as the company. We also could order from à la carte menu for lunch, while I was asking an english breakfast.
It was preatty busy, but we had the time to enjoy our meal and, as usually can happen in busy places, the girls on the floor didn’t forget about us.
Really good fresh juices by the way.
Good variety of food, well cooked and presented with attentive and friendly service
This was disappointing. Service was just awfully slow, with staff lingering about and talking to each other rather than attending to guests. 1 orders was wrong and 1 was completely forgotten. And the food was mediocre at best - soggy pasta that tasted store bought, 1 shrimp and 1 clump of crab in the linguine, an avocado salad that required a magnifying glass to find the avocado, etc. it wasn’t a terrible experience but it certainly wasn’t remotely worth the 4.2 stars that brought us here.
Ok restaurant with ok food and ok ambiance. It’s ok
Wonderful service, great food and ambience
Enjoyed our meal pre theatre.
My sea bass special was fantastic and my wife's prawn pasta dish was also very tasty.
Service was good and the waitress was very friendly but the restaurant was quiet at the time we went.
I would go again!
Excellent luck all round. Food fabulous and great value. Service. excellent.
Had a lovely time, friendly staff and great tasting food. The special was lovely
Friendly service with good tasty food. Great for a group meal - lively and relaxed.
We had a reservation for a Post early evening Prom supper at this family styled Trattoria. The atmosphere was friendly, busy and spread across all demographics. The food was good without being exciting and was relatively good value.
Staff were lovely but unfortunately got our order wrong twice and took a very long time to get any food to us in an otherwise quiet restaurant. The food was ok but not great. The place looks great and they were lovely but just not a great time for us.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the excellence of the simple Italian food at Caccari, especially the handmade pasta dishes. The chestnut tagliatelle with mushrooms was out of this world, as were our other choices . My only complaint is that we did not find the banquette seating very comfortable, but I will definetly dine here again anyway, the food is too good to miss.
Reasonably nice meal with family but nothing special. A little overpriced for what it was.
A little restaurant, with a good selection of homemade pasta. The special of the day was a prawn and courgette risotto which was delicious. I would also recommend the beef carpaccio starter.
Really disappointing. I had been here once before and had an excellent risotto, but this time the menu was uninspiring and the wine poor and very expensive for what it was (a thin and acidic Valpolicella for £29). The two pasta dishes we had were OK, although my partner's was very stingy with non-pasta ingredients (don't tell me this is how they do it in Italy - I've been to Italy many times), and mine was extremely salty. Our friend's salmon was overcooked and overpriced. I know this is South Kensington but there are other cheaper and better options nearby. I am really surprised this place gets such good reviews.
The food, for the most part, was terrific. The Bolognese was tremendous. The ingredients were all very fresh and there was a well balanced depth and layering of flavors. The caprese was a bit disappointing with ho hum mozzarella and subpar tomatoes. But that's probably to be expected. I'm sure quality, fresh tomatoes are non-existent in Britain come late April.
We were fortunate to visit when the GBP had taken a beating on the exchange after the Brexit vote. So everything was reasonably priced to us. But barring that, the prices here are a bit high, no doubt to subsidize the rent in this neighborhood. If not for the benefit of the favorable forex market, this would have scored pretty low in the value category.
Good family run restaurant with nice fresh food. Far better than the chains
Food is great and affordable. Nice to get a little treat to taste as a starter! :)
Food was disappointing, waiter brilliant
Authentic Italian, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere
Booked on line for my boyfriend's birthday dinner for 5 people. Upon arrival they showed us such a small table that could not obviously fit all of us. Almost speechless I asked the waitress how we could fit in such a tiny table. Her answer was 'I gave you the best one'! We haven't been offered to be moved in a bigger one and as I did not want us to be that squashed sadly we had to leave and go and find somewhere else. Such a disappointment to be treated like this.
