Cabo Wabo Cantina Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by Cabo Wabo Cantina! We dined on a Wednesday night at 6:00pm before seeing Lionel Richie. The restaurant wasn't busy that evening and the vibe was fun with videos of Sammy Hagar, and great music playing. The food was wonderful, fresh and flavorful - and for being a strip restaurant the price was quite reasonable. We both felt we received a lot of food for our money. We'll definitely tell friends and family to stop in, and we'd come again!
We ordered two pitchers of Cadillac margaritas. They were weak. Food was mediocre. Beans looked like canned beans. Photographer was wandering around to sell pics to us for $$. Wouldn’t recommend it for anything except maybe music....which wasn’t happening when we weee there
Our waiter was nice, and semi attentive. A large party was seated next to us and once they arrived they were hovering all around our small 2 person table. CW Margaritas were good, food was not great. Sitting on the patio overlooking the strip would probably have at least made it fun, but we were stuck next to a giant pole in the middle of the floor. I won't go back.
My entree, spicy grilled chicken, was very tasty. Can't remember the menu name. The burger my daughter had was very good. The street tacos are pretty small. My fiancée ordered them and he was still pretty hungry after he quickly ate them all. Service wasn't great and it was super loud so you can't really have a conversation without having to yell at each other. We were there for a late lunch.
Food was amazing, probably the best Mexican food I've ever had. The wife enjoyed her fajitas. Was pretty noisy in there but we could still hear each other without issue. If there was one thing I could say it's that the pitcher of Mai Tai's was incredibly strong for us not so frequent drinkers, but they were really accommodating bringing us more mix to put in. Overall a great experience!
I was very disappointed in the service we received on Saturday evening. We had gotten seated and waited close to 15 min before anyone approached us and that was only because I stopped a server and asked for someone. Grant it she was very nice and apologized and took our drink and appetizer order. She said that our server (Julian?) would be with us shortly. Nope, didn't happen. She came back and took our meal order. Guess what?! Meal was done and the server for our table surfaces!!! I can understand if it was busy but that was not the case. There were a lot of tables inside and outside open and servers standing around. Sorry to say I will not be going back. The food was good, not fantastic, just good.
Have been looking forward to going to Cabo Wabo for a while. Ideally located on the strip with great view. The atomosphere is laid back and although we visited in the day I'm pretty sure it would be fun at night. Had tapas which was set out so we could make ourselves. This was delicious as we're the accompanying cocktails. Would love to come back and get another t-shirt.
As soon as you enter this Cantina, you sense an upbeat and welcoming vibe. The menu is varied and even offers gluten free blue chips. The beer and wine selections are adequate for this type of establishment. I was surprised to see that there were no items made with ground beef. In addition, there were no black beans or refried beans; the only choice was pinto beans. Our dining experience was even better due to the efforts of our server, Adam F. Adam was helpful, attentive and personable. His recommendations were right on target. We enjoyed our experience at this particular restaurant.
Each person ordered something different and everyone loved their choices! We all had the Bahama Mama cocktail and it was perfect! Cool, sweet (but not too sweet), and refreshing especially in the heat! Our waitress was Ceara and she was awesome! She checked on us constantly! Other staff members (I believe food runners) made sure our dishes were cleared quickly, water was frequently refilled, etc. Everyone was so nice! Great staff, food, and drinks! We attended the Backstreet Boys after so this was a perfect place to eat at beforehand!
Our time was not good. We are locals and have been there previously. This time, the chef and waiter would not accommodate any of our requests (little things like suppplemenring chicken for beef), the chicken tacos were literally tasteless, and we felt like we were rushed out of there. I would not return.
