   This is a delightful neighborhood restaurant with well prepared seasonal food. We savored the mussels and fries starter. We both had cod- the ling cod and black cod were prepared differently. With excellent sauces and accompanying vegetables. Ginger cake and profiteroles were the perfect conclusion to this birthday celebration.

   Our first time there we celebrated my Dad's birthday and had a wonderfully attentive server, Norman, who took care of all our requests. The fish and all the dishes were fresh, and vibrant with flavor. The menu that changes daily was definitely on point! The ambiance was classy and fun. Will return with enthusiasm

   Lovely place overall. We had a corner outside table though, as a last-minute reservation to ty something new, and were neglected a couple times. We will return!

    We love Cabezon. It's a stellar restaurant walking distance from our house. The menu is always interesting, the food is always wonderful and the cocktails/wine list are perfect. Oh - the service is always super friendly and timely. We've done several birthdays, an anniversaries there in addition to just wanting a nice date night.

    It was our first time there and it was amazing! I loved everything we ordered and it had a really beautiful ambiance for a date night with my girlfriend. Very pleased we discovered this lovely little restaurant.

    A very nice neighborhood place that is actually quiet enough to have a conversation. Service is good and while the place is casual enough it is also intimate enough for someone who feels the need for something "classy" The only semi negative is for a seafood restaurant it would be good if there were a couple more local NW seafood options though I realize the continuing issues with native ocean fish population

    I believe it's their fish entrees that stand out the most, though my partner had the lamb chops and loved them. It's just that the fish dishes are so exceptional. This is a marvelous spot for a more "special" dinner and I can't imagine being disappointed- I would recommend getting appetizers/salads over desserts as the desserts have been good, but not as outstanding as the rest of the food there.

    The entrees always include intriguing sauces and complementary vegetables, making for a superb meal. Friendly and attentive staff of long-standing give a sense of community in an elegant setting. Fine dining without pretense.

    Pros: beautiful ambiance in "white room" Noise level was perfect Service was almost a 10 (we had 3 different servers) Some food items and drinks were impeccable: i.e. Shrimp appetizer and oysters and woodland 75 Cons: We were literally stuck in a corner Ciopinno had very little broth, and had a least a cup of onions and fennel(?) in the bottom of the bowl. More filler and very little substance. Also rouille doesn't "go" in a Ciopinno, that's Bouillabaisse a different dish entirely. Pot de creme was tasty but cold and thick like ganache, not pudding consistency.

    Cabezon was a great find! A friend told us and we finally had the chance to go and are already thinking about how to go back! We had mussles and fish and little pancakes with caviar and every single bite was delicious. The service was fantastic - just the right pace and super friendly!

    Wait person was attentive, quick to respond to requests. Food was excellent. Table for 2 was perfect as it was in a nook separated from the main dining areas and felt private.

    There aren't many restaurants in Portland where I can happily consume everything that is presented, but this is one of them. Beautifully balanced meals and a reasonably priced wine selection. The profiteroles are worth saving your appetite for! A delightful experience that I'm looking forward to repeating soon.

    Incredible! The best tasting fish and presentation I've had since living in Portland. The service was impeccable too. They're such top tier staff and know their menu and ingredients front and back. Thank you for such a wonderful evening and meal!

    We love this restaurant everything is prepared so well, from the blinis as appetizers to the salads to the mains to the desserts. It's a great place to go for novel approaches to fish and meat. We eat there several times a year and have never been dissappointed

    Although I specified bday in our reservation-sadly no acknowledgement. Sturgeon was excellent, lamb also good. Nice size wine pours. Caeser salad very fresh, crisp and tasty. Comfy big leather chairs in dining room off to left was nice.

    A hit and miss night. The starter plate of caviar was expensive but excellent. The Caesar salad was good, also a good price. The lamb chops were tough plus more gristle than then norm. The Cioppino had a good variety of seafood and a wonderful flavor, likely saffron, but it was quickly overcome by way too much jalapeño peppers that were thrown into the mix. The remedy of adding aioli worked to dull the heat, but the original flavor was lost. The service was very good, enough to coax us back.

    This was the BEST meal I've had in 3 years! The food was outstanding and delicious. From the pate, to the mahi mahi finishing with the Markers Mark Whisky ice cream profiterole, I was blown away with this restaurant. I guarantee you will love this dining experience!
