Had good reviews online, and didn't disappoint. Oyster chowder?!? OMG
Melange of flavors in reimagined dishes. Inventive mocktails, and superb service. Value was outstanding.
Enjoyed what I ate. Felt a bit pressured to order more than what we had originally intended which wasn't amazing. We shared an entree with an appetizer and I had explained how my SO and I had already eaten a bit earlier which is why we didn't settle on two entrees. Good food.
The food was incredible. We had the duck and cioppino and there were both amazing. The service was a little shaky but due to crazy times we understood. The food is so good we could over look the service.
This restaurant is quaint, regularly delivers great food with top notch service
Everything was amazing! We can’t recommend highly enough:)
Menu varies often with new offerings.
Wonderful fish and Cioppino
Undercooked salmon, sent it back and then still undercooked
Great food, always creative, great staff, our go to place
great food and great service, that's all we want!!!
Love this place. Great neighborhood restaurant. We need to go more often.
We met the chef in line at the farmers market and were impressed with the ingredients he was buying. Learned he worked at Cabezon Restaurant and went there the same evening. Dinner was excellent!
Never disappointed when we dine here :)
One of the best restaurants in Portland. Menu has subtle variations every few days, specials always a treat.
Some of the best gazpacho we have had, Caesar salad also good - except not pre-chopped and left to you to cut into bite size.
Every entre we tried, Halibut, Sturgeon, Black Cod all prepared perfectly, with creative vegetable medley, crispy cauliflower and even quiche sometimes.
Nice varied wine list, both red and white - even a few pink!
Service good across the board - everyone works together, blended service results in even better than single outstanding staff member.
We enjoyed a beautiful meal sitting outside on a warm summer’s night at our favorite neighborhood restaurant, Cabezon. We ordered watermelon gazpacho and swooned over every bite. The best I have ever tasted, EVER!
We love the warm, crispy blini with caviar and their excellent Caesar salad, in fact we order that every time we dine there.
Everything about this cozy spot is perfect. Even during the Covid
pandemic, Cabezon feels like a shelter in a storm.
Food was outstanding! Table outdoors was comfortable and wait staff excellent. Would highly recommend.
Never a miss at this place. Consistently excellent in all phases
Dinner at Cabezon is always predictably perfect with a few stand by regular options and other creative new additions depending on what is fresh and available to David (chef). Jackie makes the BEST cocktails!
Great food and service. I recommend the Calamari and lamb
As always, we had a wonderful meal. Cabazon has a fun vibe...intimate with bright and eye catching decor. The menu selection is varied with items that are tasty and well presented. Wine and cocktails selections are also top notch. The waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We felt very comfortable with their efforts to make our dining experience safe.
The customer service was phenomenal. My party arrived early and was able to be seated right away. The traffic on Sandy Blvd can be a bit noisy, but the outdoor seating on the side street is moderate. Food was delicious and the wait staff were very attentive to our table. I would recommend this place to all.
So nice to have the option for a delicious dinner and outdoor seating!
First time. Been wanting to try this place for a while.
Food was excellent.
Cocktails were interesting. Bit light in flavor, but refreshing.
Service was great.
Please. Support our PDX restaurants.
The staff was not ready to serve at the advertised opening time when we had a reservation. We had to wait 8-10 minutes before staff could seat us. Once the service started, it was very good; food was excellent.
What a gift to find one of our favorite restaurants open with outside seating, well-distanced from other diners and a staff that was respectful for our safety! Our experience was wonderful--from service to food to ambience-- a perfect way to celebrate a birthday and an opportunity to finally go out to dine. Cabezon remains a favorite! ❤️
We were outside and there was a fair amount of street noise. Otherwise excellent. The lavender creme brulee was outstanding, As was the salmon.
The food was excellent as usual. Fresh fish and jumbo shrimp prepared very well - not over cooked and served with ingredients that complement the fish! Dave is an excellent chef.
Delicious entrees and appetizers & strong cocktails
This is a small neighborhood restaurant that has adapted to Covid 19 restrictions in a great way. Outdoor dining. Great service. We enjoyed the squash blossom flower tempura with goat cheese fondue. Sea scallops in a charred tomato ragout (not too overwhelming!) Halibut with a oh so good sweet corn cake. Topped it off with a honey lavender crepe brûlée. It was a lovely anniversary dinner.
Always a great experience. They have adopted safety measures. Spectacular food again!
My sweetie and I love going to Cabazon for special occasions. It was the last restaurant we went to before Covid shut everything down and the first place we ventured out to after places have opened back up! Great outdoor seating (besides road noise), consistently amazing food and always fantastic service. Highly recommended! This place is truly a hidden gem in NE Portland, and they do everything right to keep costumers safe!!
We celebrated our anniversary here and it was wonderful! Their cleanliness and safety practices made us feel comfortable. The food was phenomenal, we cleaned our plates! Our server was lovely and was right on top of our every need. We highly recommend coming here and we can’t wait to return.
Waiter was fantastic and so was the food!
Delicious, fresh food, prepared with care and with top notch ingredients. Attentive servers and the hand sanitizer spray bottle on the table was a nice touch! (Smelled good too). I enjoyed the Sea Nymph oysters, a bowl of watermelon gazpacho, and the seared scallops with lobster salad.
A little pricey for quality...duck and halibut were dry. But flavors were great
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Portland and it never fails to impress us. Our regular faves - the trout caviar blinis, Mac & cheese, the oysters, the basil and phyllo wrapped shrimp are consistently delicious! There’s always something new and innovative on the menu - lots of fresh fish cooked in exciting ways. It’s never boring and it’s always excellent! We love this place...and they have the best fries and garlic aioli in Portland! And don’t forget to leave room for the exquisite chocolate pot de creme at the end!
Great food! Love that such a high quality restaurant is near us!
Salad and ciopinno so good and plenty to share! Norman was excellent server. Fun cocktails and great wine list.
Outstanding food; never disappoints.
Appetizers and cioppino was delicious. Good portions -- couldn't eat all the broth. Service was excellent, waitstaff very professional and friendly.
