Absolutely stunning dining experience! Safe, beautiful, and delicious! We will be back!
Very good Covid protocol, the best service, delicious food and drinks! Parking is easy too.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Great date spot!
This is my go to place in Portland. Great food, great friendly service, and a terrific fresh menu that does not stay static.
Great ambiance and service, food was good but not super impressive
We go to Cabezon for special occasions. The wait staff is amazing and they are always so welcoming and kind. The food is always delicious. Sometimes I am not quite sure or I have never had a certain type of fish, but I am always willing to try because they do such amazing dishes. Desserts can't be beat.
Wonderful restaurant. Really enjoyed the outdoor covered and heated area. Great food. Drinks and wine.
Oh my, this is a tough review. First, to be clear, the food was FANTASTIC, even more so with us being in the midst of a pandemic. And service was efficient and personable. So why not a 5 star review? Well, it's because of COVID concerns. Yes, their staff had masks on and tables were thoroughly cleaned. But the tenting. You're sitting "outside" in name only - no air flow. From a virus perspective, you're basically a sitting duck. It pains me to say it but we rushed through our meal when we realized that we were in a tented fish bowl. Please, cut some holes in some of the tented windows and make some air move. We left a good tip because we so want this restaurant to make it (did I mention the food and drinks were EXCELLENT?!) but we won't be returning. No matter how great a meal, it's not worth risking your life.
Amazing food and hospitality!
Favorite neighborhood date night
Had to wait for a bit but it was great.
Even with temporary reductions of the menu, there are still unique gems at Cabezon. I was impressed with caviar blinis, and a very fine preparation of sturgeon. Outdoor dining was quite comfy despite the heavy rain that day.
Truly delicious. Phyllo wrapped shrimp is insane, and the WARM PEAR CRISP was amazing
New Year’s Eve dinner, food, cocktails and service were all fantastic! Comfortable outdoor seating with heaters due to COVID. Very pleased with the whole experience and will visit again.
This is a wonderful restaurant which is always consistent across the board.
Congratulation dinner for outstanding university student.
The Cioppino was amazing! The staff were friendly and accommodating.
Outstanding! From the drinks to the wine to the appetizers to the entrees to dessert! We did it up for Christmas Eve and they did not disappoint. We had Mac n’ cheese and trout caviar blinis to start. Cioppino and sea bass entrees. Belgian ganache and apple crisp to finish. The patio was warm and protected even though it was cold and windy out. The service was magnificent, she didn’t miss a thing. Very kind and efficient without being pretentious. We just moved here and this will become a tradition. We haven’t had a meal this good in a very long time.
Covid times makes it hard to have great ambiance. It was chilly but the outdoor area was covered and some heat lamps out. Portion sizes on entrees huge for the price point! Service was spot on.
Nice outdoor area, heaters and sheltered from rain. We went at 5:30, probably had more than usual noise from traffic on Sandy--maybe would go slightly later. As always, excellent meal and service. What's not to like about Ono and Petrale sole?? If you don't eat here you are missing out on a most fabulous neighborhood seafood restaurant!
This is one of our absolute favorite local spots and we greatly appreciate the lengths they are going to so that we can enjoy a real dining out experience. The heated outdoor patio is great and if we feel like staying in, we have enjoyed their exceptional dishes at home via take out. We will keep coming back!
During Covid, we had our anniversary meal here and everything was outstanding. There were 6 tables of 4 and 2 and they encouraged take-out based on signage.
We split a Ceaser salad and their house pate for our first course and split the Cioppino and Lamb Shoulder with root veggies, and these amazing ricotta-rosemary dumplings for our main. The service was excellent and they kept safe and distanced. $20 corkage is very fair, and brought a nice eleven year old bottle of Tempranillo.
Space heaters and tarps kept it warm, Christmas lights on the outside was a festive touch. When we left, the place still had a few tables open at 7:30 (with 5:30 reservations).
Highly recommended and one of the finest places to eat in NorthEast PDX. Very fair prices for outstanding food, service, and ambiance.
We were celebrating our anniversary and had a wonderful time! The basil phyllo wrapped white shrimp was succulent and flavorful. The garlic aioli fries were hard to beat! We had the pork chop and lamb for our main courses. They’re practicing social distancing. It was a little cool but the heat lamps kept us warm. Great place!
Tasty food, great service (:
This was my first visit to Cabezon. Ordered the scallops. Excellent and very tender. Also outstanding wine list and definitely save room for dessert! Also, I was very pleased with their COVID precautions (spaced tables, sanitizer at every table, masks, etc.).
Dinner club with friends. Great place, very nice atmosphere, food was incredible!
This was our first time here, really really enjoyed it! The food was fantastic and interesting! Service was good and loved the glass lamps over the bar and extra dining room. We definitely will be back !
Great as every other time we’ve been there.
Best dining experience I've had in some time - the service was exceptional and the food was fantastic
Taking safety first while not losing a lovely dining experience, thank you Cabezon & staff. Staff was kind, attentive, knowledgeable of menu and providing excellent recommendations. We ordered a few apps, salad and an entree to share. Food was excellent, i enjoyed the servers recommendation on how each item will be delivered and the timing allowing us to enjoy each item. We look forward to returning for another date!
My partner and I were celebrating his promotion and decided to try Cabezon. Our expectations and taste buds were overwhelmed. What an amazing treat! Such delicious gastronomical delights. Superb presentation and exceptional service. Definitely recommend to all.
Excellent food. Great place for perfectly done and very fresh fish with creative and flavorful preparations. Pleasant and well informed server. On the next visit to Portland, I am going back.
I've been here many times and the Cioppino was as good as always. Great bar to boot
Very unpretentious; delicious food; super friendly staff; all around great experience!
As usual, they did not disappoint! we order the following
All were prepared well and delicious!
Looking forward to our next visit!
Always a fantastic meal. Just the right amount of variety of high quality dishes and drinks on the menu. Great service.
Great place to bring that special person for a meal!
Restaurant was overall great with wonderful food and dining experience. Covid rules however are very annoying. Restaurant required that anytime the staff was at the table masks be put back on- even when still enjoying an appetizer or taking a sip of water. It was very inconvenient and less than desirable. I would love to go back however would not go back during Covid mask rule which is far more extreme than the state mandate.
Great food! Loved the new outdoor heater!
