Cabernet Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The food was phenomenal. Service was great. A Little pricey for some of the items but worth every penny if you want to splurge for a special occasion. We had the lobster bisque, wedge salad, lump crab salad, 8 oz filet with the fried lobster tail add-on, husband had the 12oz with add-on lobster tail, potato au gratin, and steamed broccoli as our sides. All of which was good. We finished with the creme brulee which was the icing on the cake for us so creamy with the crunchy top. Will definitely be back for when we have money to blow. :)
As always at Cabernet Steakhouse the first thing you smell is cigarette and cigar smoke from the poorly ventilated bar area located attached to the restaurant. This Valentine's Day was not our first visit to Cabernet, but it may be our last. We all know that Valentine's Night is a huge night for restaurants and I'm sure Cabernet knows this, but the service was slow and the kitchen was slower. Our waiter comp'd our table two drinks, because the kitchen took forever with our order. When they finally brought our dinner it was wrong. I ordered scallops and my fiancee orders sea bass, they brought two sea bass to the the table. In conclusion until the ventilation is improved we will not be back.
We have eaten here before but was a bit disappointed this time. I had "herb roasted chicken" my date had a steak. She ordered her steak medium rare and it came out well done. They said they mixed up her steak w/another customer. They brought her another one that was correct, but because of the delay we had to eat our Valentine's meal separately. The herb roasted chicken was just a skinless chicken breast. They should put that in the description as it was not what I was expecting and it was very rubbery and definitely not a $25 plate. Too many disappointments to be back for dinner, but I recently had lunch there and would go back for lunch.
Always a pleasure to dine at Cabernet. The food and service is ALWAYS great. Great for a private party too. Had a party of 12 in the wine cellar with drinks, appetizers, dinner including desserts. Very satisfied. In fact, left an extra gratuity because we were so well satisfied.
We had a fabulous birthday dinner at Cabernet. We were taken care of in a very relaxing and sophisticated setting. Both of our waiters were fantastic with attention to detail and ensured everything was perfect from drinks to dessert-we loved our dining experience!
Really excellent food, cooked and presented to perfection. Make sure you save room for the decadent Bananas Foster, prepared tableside.
Friday and Saturday they have a good selection of half price wines!
The service is friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. AJ is a real star.
My friend & I are on paleo diets. Steaks were great. Salad was great. Service was attentive without being over done. Only issue is wine list was really out of date. 1st two bottles of wine I ordered off the menu they brought out the wine but not the vintage specified in the wine list. As you know wines can vary dramatically by vintage, they tried to convince me it didn’t matter. I held fast. 3rd try we got what they advertised. It was the only glitch in an otherwise very nice experience
Excellent food, excellent service. The one complaint/drawback is there is an enclosed smoking room/cigar bar that even across the other side of the restaurant we could smell. If the rest of the experience was not so good this could have ruined it, but the food/service made up for it. But if you are super sensitive to smoke, avoid...
First two bottles of Napa Cabernet requested were “not available”...learning after 5-10 minute search by waiter after each selection.
Third choice (recommended by the Sommelier who had now involved himself after two misses) came to table and was supposed to be a 2012 Napa Cabernet as printed on wine list, but was a 2014. Really?
Not impressed with a restaurant that goes by the name of... Anyhow, wine list is great (if not in inventory)...and food is always excellent. When your wine selection isn’t available...grab a martini and save yourself the hunt.
My wife and I were celebrating our 16th anniversary and our choice of the right restaurant was easy; right ambiance, perfectly skilled and friendly staff, an excellent kitchen, superb wines, the complete package. I made the reservation online and they welcomed us when we came in and congratulated us on out anniversary, such a nice welcome touch. throughout the evening, we were given the privacy we required, but always on point to answer questions, bring us some more wine etc. a special touch was the heavenly desert on the house. this was not necessary, but very well appreciated by my wife and I. this was not the first, but definitely not the last time time we will be seen to indulge us in the atmosphere of "Cabernet"
It was our first time at Cabernet. We went for New Year's Eve dinner. I've lived in the area for a long time and always wanted to go, and it was SO worth it! Highly recommend if you (and your wallet) are in the mood for classic steak house. Seafood appetizers were fresh and tasty. Salads were very, very good. I had a filet with scallop add-on for dinner, and it was amazingly good... a great cut and cooked to perfection! Desserts were wonderful. And the service was fantastic, both in the bar area and in the dining room. Everyone we had contact with was super customer-focused and it seemed their only mission was to make sure that we enjoyed every single second we were on the property. The cigar bar was an added plus, as I did not know that was there. For reference, they had a special pre-fixe NYE menu available, but everything we ordered was off the regular menu and available anytime. I am already looking forward to going back. Thanks, Cabernet staff, for a wonderful evening!
We had a 6:45pm reservation on New Years Eve, however we were not sat for nearly an hour. The service was very slow & we felt unattended to. Table was not ready when we were seated, no drink menus or food menus when servers arrived to take our order, and service was disorganized. I was sad to have this particular experience, as I have had better experiences with Cabernet in the past.
Exceptional New Years Eve dinner. Reservations made through Open Table for 6 pm. Arrived about 10 minutes early. Two valet gentlemen were waiting on us to open our car doors and park the car. Walk in and checked in. We were immediately escorted to our table. The service was excellent. We actually had two gentlemen handling our requests, to my surprise. We ordered two of the 'inclusive' meals. The prime rib must have been 1.5 pounds and was served medium, as ordered. The 10 ounce sirloin was perfect at medium well. The sides complimented each of the main courses. The scotch was smooth and the Malbec glass of wine from Argentina complemented the meal. For dessert, the Banana Foster was entertainment as well as delicious. We never felt rushed on our NYE dinner and left around 7 pm. This night confirmed why we go here for special nights. Even on New Years Eve, we were made to feel special and welcome.
I debated about writing this review but I think you need to know that my meal was very average at best. My fish was dry and small. My salad was the worst Caesar that I have had. I have told a lot of my friends how disappointed I was and probably won’t be back. Sorry but I had to be honest.
