Fabulous! Attentive! Awesome ! Visit every time I travel to Atlanta! Top Steak House in United States
Visited for the 1st time and had a good experience.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that on Friday and Saturday nights Cabernet offer $40 3 course fixed price dinners. Quality, food and service were great. My only complaint is that the filtration in the sealed off cigar bar needs to be improved. The smell of cigars wafts in at times.
The food and drink were top shelf. We really enjoyed the steak and the mussels were amazing. Only wish they had charred brussel sprouts.
Erin was an awesome server. Great atmosphere and service
We were extremely disappointed by our recent experience dining at Cabernet. While the food was decent, the service was unacceptable and the ambience left something to be desired. There was way too long of a wait for simple items such as drinks, many of the tables in our immediate area were left dirty and unattended to for half of our meal, and the waiter took our half eaten meals without asking to box anything. Just poor tact all the way around. For the high price of the meal, which we planned for, the experience should be top of the line. It fell well short of that expectation. We will not be returning anytime soon.
My husband and I decided to come here and I'm very glad we did.The ribye steaks were absolutely delicious. The food over all was really delicious. Our server was very attentive and I appreciated that.We will be returning, definitely.
The Best Our favorite restaurant
Superb service and food!
The food was delicious, but the service was horrendous. Everything took forever, even though it wasn’t busy. Waitress was so spacey we received the wrong salads and then she added pepper to my husband’s salad when he specifically stated no pepper. Took 30 minutes just to receive our dessert. Will not return.
Great experience. Quite surprised that on Valentines day there we zero decorations on the table. No flowers, no centerpiece etc. Still a great dinner with a naked table:-)
The service was much slower than it usually is. We assumed it was due to the Valentines’s Day holiday. The food was good but not as good as it usually is. We were also disappointed that they were out of the wine we tried to order as well as the bourbon that we ordered before dinner. We made reservations, but when we were taken to our table, it had only been set for two instead of four. The hostess made the comment and apologized for setting our table like they do at waffle house. We also could not order an after dinner cappuccino. The server apologized at the cappuccino /espresso machine was not working. We do not frequent this restaurant on a regular basis but certainly eat there multiple times a year. Next time, we will probably choose a different restaurant.
Outstanding, as usual. This year marks 20 years that the place as been in business. And we keep coming back. One of the best in Atlanta.
I am very forgiving when it comes to restaurant service, having worked in many myself, however my experience here on Valentines Day evening was objectively terrible. We had two waiters serving us which was odd in itself, but to make things worse they did not communicate to each other at all which caused numerous repeat interruptions during our meal about the same thing. We ordered a bottle of wine to start things off, and was brought the wrong bottle 3 separate times only to find out that the restaurant no longer carried our choice. So we select another bottle, and again the wrong bottle was delivered, only to find out the restaurant also no longer served our SECOND selection. We received our third choice bottle of wine at the same time our food was delivered, which detracts from being able to enjoy it. We also realized after our food was delivered that we had not received the complimentary bread that is served while you wait for your food. At the end of the meal we were offered a dessert on the house, which one of our servers didn't even know about, to make up for everything that had happened. We just feel like for a meal that costs $75 per person, the service was extraordinarily sub-par, especially on a day that everyone knows will be busier than usual.
The service was horrible! The waitress did not want anything to do with us! Never checked on us or asked about dessert. Very disappointing!
We ate at Cabernet Steakhouse for Valentines Day. The service was excellent, as well as the food.
Food was delicious....service was friendly ....I will definitely return.
We had not been to Cabernet in a few years because, of a very bad experience with the service experience
happy to see things are going well service was good.
First time back in a while. Had to settle for a 2 o'clock sitting. Was not over crowded nor noisy. The appetizer was fantastic. Then the mignon oscar came. Well both steaks were improperly prepared. My medium plus came out almost well done and my wife's too pink for well done. The disappointing part was, no one asked how it was. I didn't make a seen. I just ate the crabcake which was delicious. I don't know why but I left a 23% tip. I guess love was in the air on Valentine's.
This was my wife's and I Valentines outing. I was disappointed that I couldn't go to the bar for a pre-dinner martini due to the restaurants cigar friendly bar (really thick with smoke).
Dinner started out with the waitress pouring water all over the table and my wife (due to a hole in the bottom of the glass, not so much due to waitress fault). Management immediately came to the table and apologized and ended up comp'ing my wife's entire meal! Not expected at all but very appreciated!
The steaks were phenomenal and the atmosphere very nice in the main dinning area (the smoky bar is glassed off from the dinning area and there is no smoke at all there).
All in all a very nice night and the wife was dry before we left and I got two of the martini's and they were excellent!
Food and service was excellent! We didn't feel rushed, the servers were friendly and professional.
Food was excellent. Service was good but could have been better. We had a large party and gratuity was added to check so I dont think they give us attention they should have. I know we would have bought more wine but noone asked. Over all we hsd a good time and enjoyed all the food.
Service was great, even for a large group on a Saturday night.
Seated at booth table with 4 people. Very loud in restaurant. Almost impossible for people seated on opposite ends of booth to hear others talk. Food was good. Steaks are thinner cuts than most other steak houses. Service was outstanding! Would go again but would ask for smaller table for 4 people.
Food was great and the service was amazing. Steak was cooked correctly and they have a great wine list.
Cabernet is a dated steakhouse with stale cigar smoke smell emanating from the bar area. The service level was very good with an attentive staff. The 1/2 off wine on Friday was OK, but selection was limited to more off vineyards. Brussels sprouts were very good and steaks took a few times to get right but good. The challenge is with the dated interior and noise level there are other quality steakhouses in Atlanta to go to first for the price.
Everything was wonderful from the valet when we arrived to the last entree of dessert. The cigar bartender the lady wasn’t that pleasant but I refused to let her steal our joy of an amazing evening!
Amazing steaks and oysters but service was a real step down from previous meals. Ordered a decent meritage and waiter tried to pass off a 2 year younger bottle and at the same price. Ended up ordering a different bottle...
Our steaks were perfectly seasoned and a perfect medium. Potatoes gratin were excellent. Caesar salad was the best I ever had.
The service was “BLAH” literally! The hostess seemed a little tired. Our waiter wasn’t attentive as much as we’d like. The food wasn’t bad, my husband steak was chard a little too much on one side but he said it tasted okay. My asparagus was over cooked but wasn’t worth sending it back.
Overall our experience was just “Okay”! I wouldn’t rave about it or suggest this restaurant as a place to go for a special occasion considering it was my husband birthday.
We always enjoy our date night at Cabernet! ck :)
Very nice and food was great!! Service was great until end. Everyone (party 8) was done eating and I had to wait too long for our server to bring the bill. These were my clients and it was a little awkward for everyone to wait on me to get the bill. Other than that everything was PERFECT!
Our waiters, Fernando and Gerson, were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous, with just the right amount of engagement. My compliments to them both!
Will not be returning
My wife and I always go to hear to celebrate our anniversary, so this was our tenth year and as always enjoyed our dinner.
I had not been to Cabernet in several years and really enjoyed it.
Overall a nice experience; food was good and the ambiance was pleasant. My steak’s temperature was correct and I liked their weekend wine specials. The service started out strong and Darryl was great and personable. His serving partner, John, was less than human. We got the impression he could’ve cared less if we were there or not. I’ve been to many steak houses, including this one and just feel if you’re going to spend the money, get the service.
I took my girlfriend to Cabernet Steakhouse for her birthday as it was recommended to us. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were sat immediately. I figured 7pm on a Friday but the place only had a few tables so far.
Darryl and John were a great serving pair and made our first experience here for her birthday outstanding.
We started with oysters and the Prince Edward Island mussels. Both were out of this world and the mussels were cooked to perfection.
For the main we both ordered the petite filet and lobster tails. The filets melted with juice and flavor as we started to eat, the lobster was so soft and sweet it could not get any better. The sides to go with were perfect but almost not needed.
To end the night they took her dessert order and came out with a nice dish to wish her happy birthday. This was our first experience and know we will be back for many many more.
Also, the valet was polite and very accommodating.
Cabernet's is my favorite restaurant. I never miss a chance to dine there.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and service never dissapoint
