Del Mar Restaurants

First visit to Pacifica with some out of town friends. We chose it for the view and the food, even though we hadn't been in years. Overall it was a hit on both counts. They've changed the menu to add some non-seafood items, so the fish selection was limited, which is too bad. The preparations have a lot of Asian influences and flavors, and the food was a bit uneven. Excellent items were the mixed green, heirloom and burrata salads, a generous portion of ahi (with overcooked carrots), very large crab cake (meal size), and the frites with the steak frites were addictive. The skirt steak was tough (often an issue), but had good flavor. Desserts were very good, although they had run out of their house special blackberry cobbler at lunch, and had none available at dinner?? We enjoyed the mocha semifreddo and a very nice, light creme brulee. Excellent decaf coffee and espresso! Some of the best we've had anywhere. But the best part was our server, Jason. Great sense of humour, an excellent table side manner, and professional but friendly service.

We celebrated a birthday and the experience was perfect. The food was incredible, the service amazing, and the views of the ocean unmatched. Highly recommend!

Service was fantastic. The Host was attentive and knew just what to recommend. The food was only okay, not great, but the ambiance and service made it an above par restaurant with a special feel.

Just visited the restaurant on Saturday — it looked amazing and had its own unique vibe. The food was absolutely epic! Service started off a bit slow, but once things picked up, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Definitely worth the visit!

Birthday celebration for my husband. Octopus ceviche for starters was delicious, scallops were melt-in-your-mouth and the shrimp pesto linguine was full of flavor. We ate every bite! The meal was so good we were left wondering why it’s been so long since we’ve been here. That’s going to change!
