Delicious Italian food! My favorite in Santa Barbara by far. It feels like you are in a neighborhood New York Italian restaurant. Warm staff, great service and awesome food!
Ca'Dario is consistently good. I love the whole grilled (broiled?) branzino, which was on the Specials menu last night. It comes with a side of veggies. They have a good wine selection too.
My partner had the chicken risotto, which he said lacked flavor. He added salt and it was good. The side of veggies that came with the fish were tepid, but otherwise fine.
The service and food were excellent. Nice setting with a big city neighborhood feel. This was our first time dining here and next time in Santa Barbara we will be back.
We had an amazing dinner! We especially loved the white asparagus appetizer. It’s so great that this place never fails! Yum!
Pre-concert dinner. Seated us in the secondary room with 2 large groups of teens out for a prom type night even though I booked this on Open Table and there were tables in dining room. Bruschetta and CaDario salad were fresh and good, but nothing special. Our pasta dishes were ok (Sage brown butter ravioli and Tagliatelle with meat ragout), but didn’t taste that fresh. The waiter we had was not friendly and even borderline rude at times. This dining experience was nothing more than average. I might give them another chance but hopefully they up their game.
Amazing dinner. Food fantastic and service wonderful. Can’t wait to visit again.
Loved the Branzino and Arugula Salad, but the Calamaretti (baby calamari) was not what we expected. Some rather large rings of calamari and much too chewy. Also, our waiter (name unknown) never once came to check on us.
Delicious fresh food! Served hot and fresh Servers attentive.
Just a perfect experience from making the reservation and throughout the meal. The food is off the charts authentic and delicious and the staff is efficient and friendly. Cannot wait to return.
This place is amazing! It’s a quaint little restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara. The service is exceptional and the food is incredible. We stop here each time we come up this way.
We were seated quickly and the service was very attentive. The Burrata starter was delicious w the roasted veggie fork tender. I had the gnocchi bolognese and the flavor was the best I’ve ever had. .
Excellent food and service. The pasta and lamb were magnificent. Huge portions. Our antipasto of calamari and carpaccio were perfect starters. We live a couple miles away so very convenient. We will be back, and back. Bravo! Oh and the lemon drop - yum!!
Nice decor and reasonable atmosphere, friendly staff. Price of Brunello Col D’Orcia 2016 was pretty good. I Food, however, was below expectations. First time I’ve had red onions in my bresaolaand not the right dressing for the dish. The melanzane was heAvy with mozzarella and large chunks of fresh tomato but pretty tasteless. I understand the bread and the branzino were very good. All in all starting to have the feel of a chain rather than family restaurant
The food was amazing but the service was even more impressive! Our server was more than excellent! He deserves a promotion!
Staff was very kind!
Flavors were on point.
After a 15 minute wait to check in for our reservation everything was perfect. Delicious meal and gracious attentive service.
Every plate is perfect!
This was my first time at this restaurant with a group of friends and the food was delicious, service was outstanding. Our waiter was so friendly and paid such good attention to all of our needs oh, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to find a special restaurant to be able to go out for an evening
Great little neighborhood spot. You know the food is good when it’s filled with locals. Pasta was delicious.
Great food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere. It’s no surprise the restaurant has been a locals favorite forever!
Service was poor. Good great. Table excellent.
The service was inadequate but the food was good.
Love this restaurant. The bolognese is fantastic but every pasta is great. Our server Tony was excellent. We went for my wife’s birth and it was perfect.
One of the best Italian restaurants at which we've ever had the pleasure of dining. The craftsmanship that went into building the rich sauces, the attention to detail & the layers of flavor & texture make it clear that the chef really cares about the cuisine. The service staff is impeccable, just perfect. A truly delightful experience. Do yourself a favor & get a cappuccino.
Everything was great except for the service. Service is lacking and the meals came 15 minutes apart, unacceptable!
Excellent food. Great service. Great location. Other than the loud party near us the experience was fantastic.
The server let us try three wines as they were out of our favorite. The prices are fair, the service excellent, and we're going back!
Excellent food and service, we’ll be back again.
My go to restaurant for date night! Highly recommended.
One of our favorite restaurants!!! Lamb dish is my husband’s absolute favorites!
The ambiance was just lovely… like a European bistro. Our waiter Antonio was so attentive and friendly and delightful. And the food was just perfect. Seasoned beautifully and so simple yet incredibly flavorful. We absolutely loved this restaurant!
Dishes lacked finesse, salads were overdressed, spaghetti alle vongole way too soupy, chef needs to learn how to make this dish properly… cannoli were stale.
We love CaDario! Excellent food, wine and helpful service!
Wonderful food, ambience, service was terrific -- and happy you are staying available for lunch! Great to see you sustained through this difficult business. Best wishes to you at Ca"Dario!!
Amazing food and service per usual! My favorite place to dine.
Let me start by saying this is truly a beautiful restaurant. I imagine this is what it would be like if you were in a high scale restaurant in Italy.
Came here to celebrate after getting married to my now wife. We had a reservation, everything was great so far. We ordered an appetizer (bruschetta) that was great. We ordered after we finished the appetizer. My wife ordered the ravioli, that was the best thing I ate all night. I ordered the spaghetti alle vongole. Geez the first few bites were great. I then moved the the other side of my plate to get a bite of a clam and it was full of sand. I brushed it off because hey accidents happen I just tried to move forward. Every bite after that was just sand I couldn’t finish my food. I just stopped eating, payed for my food, respectfully let the waitress know what I just experienced, then left and moved forward with my night. I had really high hopes for this place but will not be back.
The waiter was singing and talking to other waiter loudly. Promised to charge us one fee for kids but charged the other. Then tried to confuse us and cover it up. The carpaccio was too chewy and tasteless.
We were a party of 7. The restaurant wasn’t packed. Everything was rushed. We weren’t finished with one course when another one was forced upon us. Our reservation was for 7:30. By 850, they were stacking up chairs on tables . Very uncomfortable for us. And not an inexpensive dinner
After Bouchon cancelled our anniversary reservation due to a Covid outbreak, we were fortunate to get reservations at Ca'Dario. We could not be more pleased. Loved the rustic ambience, the jazzy music softly piping, the very attentive service and of course the delicious pastas. We will be going back for sure!
Soup specialty was very good. Husband enjoyed his chicken. My salmon was most likely farmed salmon and rather tasteless. My kid's spaghetti w/ "grandma's" meatballs were most likely frozen from a bag. That was a big disappointment. With all the choices in SB for dinner, I would probably not go here again. Not worth the $$.
