This was my wife and I's first time dining at a restaurant since the start of the Pandemic. Ca''Dario had converted about 3 parking spots in front of the restaurant into outdoor space.
I hope they can keep that outdoor space after the pandemic is over because it really gave a European feel to the dining experience and was far better than the cramped tightly packed interior pre-pandemic.
The food itself was great. We both had filled pasta dishes and the pasta itself was clearly freshly made and the sauces were both excellent. We ordered extra bread to sop it all up.
Overall it was a great experience and highly recommended to anyone looking for an Italian restaurant.
The host was extremely patient as I changed my mind twice about our seating, then service and food quality was on point the whole evening. Excellent experience I would highly recommend!
Food and service outstanding. Was promised a table by the window, but was taken by others when we got there. Table for 6 was small and crowded, would have been better for 4. Nevertheless, great food and service. Will return!
Food is old school fabulous and staff were warm and friendly.
Food not as good as it used to be.
Such great service and outstanding food.
Simply wonderful. Everything myself and friends ordered was mouth watering good. It’s much more of a local spot than the crowds on State and that made it much more enjoyable
Always the best Italian food, service and environment! Louis and Chewy (SP?) are my favorites and despite the tough times of Covid they have remained on staff which in my opinion is the best reason to keep coming back!
super awesome great wonderful fantastic super fraga listic
Been here a few times and I always leave feeling like it could have been better for the money. We had issues with 3 of the dishes we ordered. The gnocchi was undercooked and goopy and the server told us that’s how it’s supposed to be... Um ok. Buffalo mozzarella tasted like I bought it prepackaged as the grocery store. Chicken dish was bland and not memorable.
Just as good as it was 11 years ago! Hopefully it won’t be that long til we come back!

Great food, but service was slow. I don’t think they expected a busy Monday evening during Spring Break.
We enjoyed our dinner after wine tasting in Santa Ynez, the food was very good and the service was excellent. The prices were moderate and we would go back.
Definitely a top 10 CA restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine. Their ravioli is to die for! My fiancée and I love dining at Ca’Dario whenever we are visiting Santa Barbara.
The food is always excellent followed by great service.
Outdoor dining in their constructed space was good.
The best. Always so good. Consistently delivers on service and the for is sooooo good!
While we were sitting basically in the street, it wasn't that bad! They are making the most of a bad situation and we are happy to support them. As always, the food is excellent and authentic.
We had just finished dinner sitting outside on the sidewalk when it started raining. Then the hail started coming down, the staff (Tony) had all customers come inside the restaurant. Lived in S.B. My entire life and have never seen that much hail/snow come down in town. What a great experience!
We enjoyed a long lunch in the beautifully designed outdoor seating, felt completely safe during COVID and the food was delicious and service amazing.
We had a pleasant evening, the service is friendly, they do the best they can setting up outside. I don’t want to say this place is bad. It’s OK. It’s just like most average Italian places. Nothing stands out as truly special or amazing. The Salad was fine, tortellini ok, veal chop just ok, tiramisu good. Most people like Italian restaurants just like this. I would like them to set the bar a little higher
Outdoor dining in the cold is never a great experience but they're doing their best. The food here was wonderful. The dessert was mediocre as it was obviously not fresh. But everything else was excellent. Service was spotty but dutiful.
Server was so kind, polite and helpful. Would go again.
One of the best meals we have had in Santa Barbara... and that is saying a lot! Food was amazing, and they styled up their outdoor space with a chandelier... can’t wait to go back!
Incredible food! So authentic and savory! Delicious. I live in Santa Monica and will be driving back up soon to enjoy another amazing meal!!!
Dinner was delicious, our waiter was attentive and fun. We'll be going back soon!
My branzinoe fish was very salty and server had no explaining to do still I tip him 20%
As always, the food was delicious and the service was warm and attentive. We have been coming to Ca'Dario for many years and we are never disappointed. The Terra Cotta Chicken with Polenta is amazing.
We used to like this place a lot, but under the current conditions it really isn't that enjoyable. Some of the tables are in lighted spots, but many are in dark doorways. They don't have enough heaters for current winter weather, and the food got cold pretty fast.
Outstanding food, service and ambience. Nice wine list too. Will definitely be back.
Excellent ambiance, and the food was outstanding. One of my favorite meals wasn't on the menu, however, the waiter was able to describe it to the cook and it was prepared perfectly. Also, they have one of the best outside seating areas; with comfort and high quality as a priority.
The service here is wonderful. One of our favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara
The food was extremely mediocre for the price. We felt cheated and disappointed that we wasted a meal here.
Great service from Lalo! The food was good, pasta was great and steak was ok.
Delicious and authentic Italian cuisine and impeccable and warm service. It was a pleasure to dine outside at their nicely spaced tables. Also, when we've ordered to-go food, it is always carefully prepared and packaged so we can enjoy the same high quality at home.
They've done an excellent job adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines, while still providing a great dinning experience. The food was very good as was the service. Plentiful and delicious. We'll definitely be coming back on our next visit to SB.
The food was very innovative. we enjoyed everything!
They did a great job with outdoor seating and spacing.
We came here for our THanksgiving dinner (2020 amirite??), and were pleased with the options on the menu, the ambience, and the proximity to State Street. I expected a little more from the food options for the price, but still left feeling like I ate a proper Italian meal.
It was great! No complaints.
The food and service was phenomenal!
