Savannah's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
Nancy is a great restaurant. The food is fabulous - the best on the Island. The service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is elegant without being formal. I had the cold mango and melon soup which was unbelievable . The salmon is the best I have ever had anywhere in the world. Amazingly , it is not their best seller - seabass with lemongrass ( also very good) is. I don't think of Nancy as a place for steak, but in fact their steaks are really good. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Local 11ten is a very elegant and somewhat formal restaurant. It's a bit off the beaten path for tourists as wella as being a bit pricey, but the food, ambiance and service are all worth it. Food was fresh and delicious and the service was attentive without being intrusive. (Note to manager: Stop table hopping) The restaurant is in a former bank space that has been stylishly transformed. This was one of our favorite stops in Savannah. MoreOpenTable Diner -

The oldest city in the state of Georgia, Savannah has a rich historical past that draws tourists all year. Visitors and locals alike can enjoy the rich cuisine tradition highlighted at local restaurants and eateries. Being on the Georgia coast, seafood is definitely on most menus in the Savannah area, whether they are fine dining establishments or casual fish shacks. Shrimp and grits is an option that's always on the menu. Savannah is definitely a Southern town with chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, and pecan pie being common fare. Barbecue definitely makes its own statement, with pulled pork and Brunswick stew on the menus. Of course, all-American food holds its own with steaks and burgers.
